For me J.K. was on her absolute peak on Goblet of Fire. The exposition, the whole Trimagic tournament, the end with Voldemorts return were absolutely brilliant. Prisoner of Azkaban will forever be my favourite book but I can appreciate the whole peak of written talent that went into Goblet of Fire.

“I am not worried, Harry, I am with you.” Is my absolute favorite quote in the entire series. The Half-Blood Prince is also my favorite book in the series. I remember reading it in middle school and getting goosebumps all throughout the book. It’s a beautifully written story.

Half-Blood Prince was the best because it explored the history of voldemort. It was fascinating seeing him when he was younger and the implicit links to the horcruxes. Harry, Hermione and Rom receive their O.W.L. We also wonder what Draco getting up to and his secret plan. Then you get the Half-Blood Prince book which makes Potions very intresting with Harry being the best in the class and Slughorn being a loveable teacher. Then of course , the love triangles and Harry getting with ginny. Finally the battle at the end with the twist of Snape killing Dumbeldore.

1. Half-Blood Prince - Dumbledore was my favorite, and his lessons with Harry were everything 2. Deathly Hollows - what an amazing ending to the series! "Always!" 3. Prisoner of Azkaban - Sirius, the Maurauders backstory, Lupin, I am HERE for it. 4. Order of the Phoenix - stakes are high, Sirius is there, Harry is emotional,Voldemort is back! 5. Goblet of fire - incredible tasks for the tournament, stakes are higher, and Voldemort returns 6. Philosopher's stone - amazing introduction to the world and characters, so magical. 7. Chamber of Secrets - what an amazing continuation of the amazing series

The main issue I had with the GOF book was that Ron spent so much of the book being a whiny asshole. I was happy that they brought the gang back together faster in the movie.

Chamber of Secrets is also my favorite. I like the drastic dark difference between this book and Philosopher's Stone. Also, I love Tom Riddle. There are many things about this character that I wonder if things had just been a little different in his past, would he have still ended up as Voldemort.

Chamber of Secrets has to be my favourite as well. So much mystery and intrigue! I remember reading it as a kid and being completely enthralled by it. And I remember being terrified at one point in Prisoner of Azkaban before they trio knew Sirius was actually a good guy.

I love the fifth book for the same reason you do! Seeing how powerful Dumbledore truly was is a really nice insight into why Voldemort feared him, for more than just his ability to understand and use compassion!

When I read Voldemort’s return in Goblet of Fire my jaw was on the floor. The description we were given of that horrifying creature of a man was so unnerving and the fact that we finally saw Voldemort’s own physical form for the first time in the whole series was astonishing and such an intense turning point for the series.

I've only just watched the movies and I'm about to finish the 1st book. I'm amazed by the amount of things that were cut out to shrink the story into a movie, but I also noticed this is maybe the shortest book. I can't wait to get to the Goblet of Fire and the Order of the Phoenix and have my mind blown by the sheer amount of content that I've missed. I mean, those movies can't have possibly shown even half of their respective stories! Maybe that's why the 5th movie was my least favourite, it had no chance to keep up with the book

The books in order for me: 1. Prisoner of Azkaban 2. Goblet of fire 3. Half blood prince 4. Deathly hallows 5. Order of the Phoenix 6. Philosophers stone 7. Chamber of secrets Dumbledore’s death was the only part that actually brought tears to my eyes! Not when dumbledore died, but the afters in the hospital wing when they r recapping everything that has happened. And then Ginny says “Ron...Dumbledore’s dead...” and then Remus lupins reaction is just heartbreaking. The atmosphere in that part of the scene is so heartbreaking. 😭

Prisoner Of Azkaban is absolutely my favourite in the series. Tbh it probably stems from my love of Sirius Black’s character and that it’s the book where Remus Lupin is first introduced. It’s also the book that starts to properly introduce darker themes and I think for one of the shorter book, it contained a lot of good content and really fleshed out just how magical Hogwarts is with the introduction of HogsMeade :)

Great ranking, very similar to mine! Chamber of secrets has always been my favourite book, too. It's the most meaningful one to me, also the scariest and most mysterious one and the funniest one bc of Gilderoy. Greetings from Germany! 😊

when I read that Voldy had risen, I was about 10-11 yo, with no movie-series-books-plots knowledge , I was utterly SHOOK!!! I went into the kitchen screaming and told my mom! "Mom you won't believe this! this guy, the bad guy, he's back" of course she had no idea what I was talking about. If I had ANY fiction knowledge I would have seen this coming, like what else could she be writing about in 7 books if Voldemort wasn't back. do you get me? Although at that time only 4 books had come out/

I’m new to the Harry Potter books! I’ve just started reading them and I’m currently due to Finnish the 3rd book. So far my favourite has to be the philosophers stone. I love that you read bits of the books and i when you read the section about Voldemort in the goblet of fire book, it gave me goosebumps. I can’t wait to get to that book! Thankfully it’s next 😅

ironically Stone and Chamber are my least favorites loool Azkaban is my favorite. Every other book bounces around in the rankings, they're never set in stone. Those 3 are the only ones with a solid placeholder in the rankings.

When I read them, every few years or so, I read one after the other and it feels like on long book rather than individual ones. It just continues to get better and better every single page until the very end. Pure magic.

Edit: As everyone I love them all, but Order is so slow for me,and somehow I just find Chamber more fun than Sorcerers Stone.

Fortnite Mobile Wins yeah I can see why you’d think half blood is really slow, but I just can’t ever stop reading it, and I think in order of the Phoenix, it doesn’t start getting good for me until the DA forms, and then the whole fiasco with mr. Weasley getting bit and going to st mungos was so boring to me, but I did like seeing Lockhart again, but after Christmas, order of the Phoenix gets much much better I think, and Umbridge is my favorite character in it, she’s amazing

The Prisoner of Azkaban is my favorite. I’ve read it so many times my book is failing apart and the pages are taped up. The binding is gone and the book is split through the middle.

I still really LOVE The Sorcerers Stone, especially the Illustrated copy, Because the illustrations are so beautiful. Goblet Of Fire is still my favorite, I really wish I had the illustrated copy. But my second favorite is number 3, and i have the illustrated copy. Peter, do you have any of the illustrated copy’s?

I just love that Bloomsbury 1st Edition of Harry Potter. Very classic 👌👌👌👌👌. I only have Order of The Phoenix and Half Blood Prince. Wishing to complete my hardbound Bloomsbury 1st Edition one day. Btw, nice collection sir!
