Under appreciated? He might be the most overrated player in the entire league. The way people talk about him you would think that he has been a top 10/15 player this season when he arguably has been worse than last season. What makes someone a point guard? Is it height? Usage? Assists? Role on offense as primary playmaker? Positioning on the court? How much you dribble? Or is it who you defend? Because you can argue Lebron is a PG, Jokic is a PG, anyone who leads their team in offense, in assists, in usage, and acts as the primary playmaker should, by definition, be classified as the PG.

Frankly, it’s really just height. The league has become so position less that “traditional point guards” are all but extinct, both guard slots today are filled by either combo guards or 3&D guys.

@@antinapay they made it so nba awards and team are position-less. Just need to play minimum number of games to qualify. So for example all guards could make a team or all centers could make a team it doesn’t matter anymore new rule this year came with the minimum number of games played to qualify rule. So if embiid stays healthy then him and Jokkc will both make 1st team

Considering the amount of talent at the PG position, I would personally move Trae to the bottom of the list just simply because we truly do not know yet if he really has a winning play style. 6 and 10 may seem like a huge difference but really isn’t when ranking such a talented group of players.

Because it's a team game. You can't penalize a guy for having a worse supporting cast around him. If he's putting up the points and assists and he's being more efficient on a worse team where he has more attention on him because he's that much better than the next guy on his team, then how can you say one player is better than another because the whole team isn't as great. That would be like putting lillard at 2 because his team is better than Lukas or any of the other guys ahead of him

I don’t think it’s fair to put Dame at 10 when you’re basing that ranking solely on what he’s done this season, but you included Jamal Murray (basing it off his previous playoff production) and Ja Morant (who has hardly played at all this season). Honorable mention for Trae young. Just don't think his offense is good enough to make up for his lack of defensive value. His on/off is actually better this season compared to the past couple. Still, rather see Harden at #10. Don't think Cade should have an honorable mention. Rather have Shai over Luka. For defensive & attitude reasons.
