Ive got the Qi10 Max but there is no amount of technology that will save your drive from a funky swing! 🤣 I find that if I swing within myself and keep things believable this driver is amazing BUUUUUT the second I try and pretend to be a tour pro with a 150mph swing...yeah...that ball aint staying inbounds on the golf course! 🤣
Love your reviews. While not suffering from FOMO, it is always refreshing to see your reviews of new equipment. The technology and build quality of new clubs is amazing!! Thanks for your videos!!!
I just spent $650 on new ping after fitting and I hit it the same distance as my 10 year old Cobra, BUT the ping is forgiving as heaven. I'm 56 now, regular shaft works great.
Just sold my M4 driver and got a PXG 0211 2022 version (for the same price £120) and love it, so maybe in a couple of years this years PXG will be affordable and then I can give it a go. Keep them coming mate.
I went for a fitting and discovered that for my swing the Ping LST 430 worked better than anything else - even their 10k model. Just goes to show how important a fitting is.
I didn't like the turbulators, till I hit the G430maxtenk.....(and breathe) and after trying it, I'd hit it even if it had a picture of sunak on the top...ok maybe not that far..but its so good to hit, just ridiculously straight and great distance. The turbulators actaully make alignment easier too, which I found a struggle with the Qi10 infinity crown. So I'm going to learn to live with them!
Putting a fitted club in this test is a bit biased, we need to see base spec numbers. Any driver could be good with a multiple hundred dollar fitting getting exact shafts and weight combinations mate
Having been through a number of driver fittings , the correct shaft is the most important thing in getting the right driver . Since I have gone to a counter balance shaft I haven’t looked back
Cleveland XL Launcher 2 not making the list is actually VERY surprising. With that being said, I'm perfectly happy with my Cobra LTDx Max. Driver is MONEY
oddly my most forgiving has been the DDD ai smoke Max...reg smoke max second. id say the qi10 was ok, i hate hate twist face...the dark speed line is great too, had the max and ls....
Just like the dealership badging on my cars, you can get some goo gone or goof off and take that paint off your clubs. Love customizing my clubs when I can
What about the mizuno 230 st-max? For 300 dollars it has to be in the top 5. You can use the money you save on an upgraded shaft and have a better overall driver than any of these 500-600 dollar ones on this video in my opinion. Or am I missing something??
nice video but they are all premium prices... what about the level below like the wilson's, cleveland, kirkland etc? not all golfers can justify paying those prices of £450+ for 1 club.
@@JamesRobinsonGolf James, make it something like your Next 100 but with drivers, fairways etc. also, you have a fairly decent swing speed but is there some way of doing a test aimed us older geezers with moderate to slow speeds? Cheers and good work.
Hello James!! Longtime subscriber, longtime golfer. I thought you guys were all about the clubs that were best for your budget not the ones that I would have to take a second mortgage on my house to buy.😮 Why not give us your top five budget drivers like maybe Tacoma, 11 clubs of that caliber.
@@JamesRobinsonGolf thank you sir I bought the 101T ‘s a couple months back. Love them , just wanted your take on the driving irons, wedges , and The woods so I can make an informed buying decision. Keep up the great service you provide us old guys. 😉
Unfortunately you didn’t go down range and show dispersion nor length from each driver. And don’t take this wrong but sounds like someone got a little something under the table from p.x.g? Get my point? And I’m not taking any sides I play Titleist TSi.
So forgiving drivers means the most expensive and the usual perceived top brands. Difficult to justify the outlay when my Cleveland driver and the Wilson drivers hit it just as far and arguably are more forgiving.
I appreciate your opinion, last year I had numerous different brands in my top 5, this year I feel like these are the best. I’m doing a budget top 5 soon if you would like to see that ⛳️👍🏼👍🏼
So explain how the Mizuno ST-Max 230 doesn’t make your top 5…they really should be getting more respect but you all just keep with the big names and don’t really get into the real numbers and forgiveness
Didn’t upset me and think your channel is the best…I think Taylormade has gotten to gimmicky and don’t think they are as forgiving as the Mizuno or the Titleist TSR2 plus both those drivers are gorgeous and Callaway well other than there’s from 2years ago just never found there’s to be all that good or good looking
Me too. I had both the 10k and the standard 430 max. Sold the 10k. Swapped the shaft for a Riptide CB as well. The max is longer and equally forgiving.
The 0211 set is pretty reasonably priced. You just don't get as many customizable options with it. I have the 7 and 3 woods in 0211 and they're fantastic! (I think they cost me $150 brand new). I also have a Gen 5 hybrid which does have some adjustability and honestly, I haven't tweaked it at all.
James, your focus on the looks of the club is subjective. Everyone's idea of what looks good to them, hard to say. I think that clouds your objectivity way too much. As for sound? Who cares? Seriously, who gives a hoot. Does the equipment work well or not.
Hi Michael, if you can show me a personal review that isn’t subjective that that would be great. I provide my opinions, other than that I don’t know what you want.
Basically another James,, I got it so is the best video,,getting boring now. PXG is good but lucky to be no 5 as per title of video so pls stop doing misleading title's
Was fitted for all 5 of the drivers you used. PXG is not even close to as forgiving as my current driver ping 10k or the qi10 standard/max or smoke,,even the aerojet. Did find it more so than the darkspeed tho,I'm currently a 20 handicapper. You do tend to favour your reviews to what you are using even if its not the best for you. You did this last year with the triple diamond, because it was the power driver u kept using it but was clearly not the best for you. Love your work just nor always your titles.
I did on a Qi10 Max (20 hcp) after fitting and it is fantastic. Yes, it was a retirement gift to myself, though what I noticed most from my old previous driver was the reduced distance drop off from off centre hits. My fitter asked me what I wanted & my reply was all the help technology can give me. I tried the standard qi10 driver too, but the numbers from the max was what I needed. Very happy with it.
Not true Steve,it's dependent on your disposable income. I'm a 20 handicapper down from 25 this year from hitting more fairways with my ping 10k. Prefer look of PXG and Qi10 but found ping 10 unreal on forgiveness
