#beegees #reaction Rapper FIRST REACTION to Bee Gees - How Deep Is Your Love (Official Video)!! Join this channel to get access to perks: / @blackpegasusraps
@evangelinebelami8716 Romance first, sex second. Girls didn't give themselves so easily and there was there was a lot more censorship in the media. When you think that records like Je T'aime and Let's Spend the Night Together were banned by the BBC and compare those with today's filth that's allowed. And look how today's female pop stars dress...or don't dress!
Thanks so much for your reaction. The BeeGees were: the tallest and oldest brother (with the big hair and beard), Barry Gibb, born September 1, 1946, the only surviving Gibb brother. Robin Gibb (with the long hair, no beard), born December 22, 1949-passed away May 20, 2012, and Robin's fraternal twin brother Maurice (the balding brother with the beard, pronounced "Morris") Gibb, born December 22, 1949-passed away January 12, 2003. They also had another, younger, brother Andy Gibb, born March 5, 1958-passed away March 10, 1988. The three oldest brothers were born on the Isle of Man (UK). Oldest brother Barry got seriously burned when he accidentally pulled boiling tea over himself at 18 months old. He was in coma for a while, nearly died and was in hospital for many months. Because of this, he did not learn to talk until after the twins were born. Later the family moved to Manchester and from there they emigrated to Australia in 1958, right after Andy was born. All 4 brothers are just natural musical talents. All of them dropped out of high school in their early teens and none of them could read or write music. All their compositions were created completely organically. Their musical career, which they had started as little kids, didn't lead to international success so they moved back to the UK in 1967. Then they had a string of big hits, until they temporarily broke up around 1970 for 15 months. Started back up, looking for a new sound which they first found in 1974 with the transitional album "Mr. Natural". After that "Main Course" was the first album that moved them into a new direction: more rhythm&blues, dance music like with great hits like Nights on Broadway and Jive Talkin' (and was also actually the first album on which their logo was introduced). From 1976 on they went all out with falsetto driven dance music which lead to their biggest commercial success as they provided classic songs for the Saturday Night Fever Soundtrack (1977 Stayin' Alive, How Deep is Your Love, Night Fever amongst them). You should react to the 1979 live version of Stayin' Alive, too ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-7niXSh7vWRI.html Other great songs to analyze: great album tracks from the 1979 Spirits Having Flown album, the title song: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WH_j90fCIk4.html, the outrageously beautiful song Reaching Out ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vfHUS5Mf00Q.html. From their Still Waters album, Smoke and MIrrors: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MT9vRHSWNbk.html. And from the 1990's the simple song Blue Island live in an accoustic version: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-162GlAEpfrY.html. Andy was kind of Barry's mini me, about half a foot shorter and 12 years younger but they were the only lefties of the family. However, his voice was nowhere near as broad in range or as strong as Barry's. As producer Alby Galuten said in the book "Tales of the brothers Gibb "Andy's falsetto was nowhere near Barry's." Andy had a lower, huskier, sound to his voice and his range was not as big as Barry's. I personally always thought his voice was much better suited to songs of his first album, Flowing Rivers. Andy died of myocarditis - which is an inflammation of the heart - on March 10, 1988, 5 days after his 30th birthday. His heart had been weakened by his drug addiction over the years which, by the way, was also the main reason for his split from Victoria Principal. He also had a congenital heart problem that was later also discovered in Barry and Barry's second son Ashley. Try listening to the song Dreamin' on ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--KdBVKcSSSw.html which is kind of a duet with Barry. And here are the 4 brothers live on stage in 1979 doing You Should Be Dancing ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_6MR-E_Qzz0.html And finally a few photos of Barry and Andy: i.postimg.cc/jS6n3Jkv/Barry-Andy.jpg and i.postimg.cc/TwnPh8M0/82c126fc42a35d3b737867af41338199.jpg and the 4 brothers with their mother i.postimg.cc/FRNMbwkD/b9b2561eadffee11347573c97063c2f8-zpsd89478eb.jpg
Robin wrote For Whom The Bell Tolls about Andy and Victoria's break up. A couple of fun facts, None of them could read music. Barry and Andy had identical birthmarks.
Definitely Fanny Be Tender (With My Love)! And How To Mend A Broken Heart. One of the BEST things about the BeeGees was that they always celebrated women and love in the most wonderful way.
I am a Baby Boomer and we grew up with the Bee Gees singing to us during our teens. We are now YOUR grandmothers who offer solid advice, love, and support. When you mentioned you were really digging country music, this is not surprising to me. Life tends to make you like the music that means something for you....country music speaks to life and experience. If you continue with some good country music....not this modern stuff posing as country music...your station will continue to grow as us BOOMERS will become your family and send you suggestions for things you missed and you should now hear. Love to you, young man. We love seeing you experience our "MUSIC."
"OK, Boomer." 😊 Just kidding. I'm Gen X. We get the least love , but it's all good. Gen X is the middle child of Boomers and Millennials. But I'm an older Xer. I was born in 68. I remember growing up on Beegees. I was a little kid, but I still remember the music of the 70s. It's comforting and reminds me of happy childhood times. I'm glad that I was a kid when things were less complicated. This is beautiful music. I can lay back and relax, close my eyes, and just feel good. Happy day.
I think you'll be stunned at the amount of music these guys wrote. They were always writing and for a while it seemed like they were writing for everybody. The Guilty album that they wrote for Barbra Streisand is so so beautiful.
Beautiful harmonies because they’re brothers. They first sang together as young kids in Australia. They've written music for Barbra Steisand, Kenny Rogers, Celine Dionne to name a few.
I never was a BG's fan back in the day. But I now have a great appreciation for their harmony. I was a hippie type chick. Never got into disco. Give me some Beatles, Pink Floyd, Janice Joplin, Zeppelin.... But I have kept listening to new music. A person has to keep growing. P.S. I love Ren! You're not bad yourself. ❤
You are in for a treat if you never heard this. Growing up, hated disco and hated the Bee Gees, but you grow up and realize how great these guys were. The problem back in the days, We talking 40 plus years ago. The radio only played the songs in the shortest way possible, but then you hear the real songs on an album and realized just how much you missed. Disco Inferno is a great example. A 4 minute song on the radio, but a 9 minute song on the album. The good ol days,
I love Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd. I'm Gen X. Those two bands have lots of long songs. My mom, a boomer, hates them. We both like Motown, but she likes 3 min songs.
The Bee Gees impact on music is undeniable. They not only have written some of the most iconic songs (including this one) for themselves but for so many artists, including Barbara Streisand, Dolly Parton & Kenny Rogers, Dionne Warwick, Diana Ross, Michael Jackson, Celine Dion, Elton John, Andy Gibb, Frankie Valli just to name a few. Often times labeled as a disco band due to their huge success during that era but they were making hits in the 60's and until the 90's with their last album being made on 2001. Whatever they seemed to touch turned to gold.
It's a song about the ultimate love in a relationship. “How Deep Is Your Love” shows even when they have broken up, they still manage to fight for the love of the relationship, “how deep” is how strong they are for themselves, proving the value of their love through challenges, ups and downs, unbeatable foe.
Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers - 'Islands in the Stream'The Bee Gees originally wrote the song for Marvin Gaye in an R&B style, but later changed it to fit Kenny Rogers' album.
They had 5 decades of music, it's impossible to pick a favorite! Barry Gibb is the 2nd most successful songwriter in music history. 3rd in the Billboard Hot 100. Had 5 hits in the top 10 in the Spring of 1978.
This song is on the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack album. To Much Heaven the record as a gift to UNICEF. All money raised from the sale of that song goes to the charity
Shake your booty, KC and The Sunshine Band. Keep learning, love seeing young people discovering the treasure trove of great tunes from decades past....
Love The Bee Gees! Barry was definitely rocking those tight white pants 😂 I loved Barry back in the day but then Andy came along ! I was quite fickle back then 🤣🤣❤️🔥✌🏻🫶🏻
Barry and Andy looked a lot alike. All three brothers favor each other and are handsome (my opinion). But Barry and Andy did look the most alike. Great reaction. You would enjoy I could not love you more, Kiss of life, Sacred Trust and She keeps on coming. ❤❤❤ Barry the oldest and tallest is sadly last remaining brother, still doing music and happily married to his Linda since 9/1/1970
One of my favorite Bee Gees songs is More than a woman! Always makes me think of one of my favorite movies from the 80s called Short Circuit! #Johnny5isalive
Agree with you- Too Much Heaven is still #1 for me. Love this one though. To me, Robin in the 70s ( wearing the vest here) is equally as adorable as Barry ( lead singer in this video) is handsome. But Barry is gorgeous in all decades!!❤ However Robin's voice is my favorite!! I love them all. Please react to Robin leading in "I Cant See Nobody" Melbourne 1974 Live concert. It is classic soulful rock. Also: Love You Inside Out - so funky!!❤❤❤
They actually wrote many songs for many bands over 1000.. They were great song writers. One you may remember Island in the stream with Dolly Parton and Kenny Rodgers..
Now, you need to check out Robin's songs. "Massachusetts AND I started a joke"! His voice is one of a kind!!❤ You won't believe it's him. Robin and Maurice are twins.
I was 17 when I took Susie to this movie in the summer of 1977. We left the movie holding hands - and the songs of this movie have had a special place in my heart ever since. What ever happened to that young man - who had so much potential - and only realized half of what he was capable. Such regret.
This was my wife and I‘s last dance at our wedding. I got married in 97 so probably 20 years after this song was released. still love it today 45 years or so later
One of there biggest songs. Dam I have so many beegees song for you BP. This is such a beautiful song and makes you have feelings you sometimes forget ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Great Reaction! I am old enough to have been around for ALL of their music phases. All of it is great and while their greatest commercial success came along in the mid 70's when disco was the big thing, my personal favorites have always been their 60's hits "I Started a Joke" and "I Gotta Get A Message To You" (which by the way was the very first 45rpm record I bought with my own hard earned money that I got by babysitting at the going rate (in 1968) of 25¢ per hour(!) 45rpm records cost $1 back then!) I would love to see your reaction to those two songs by the BeeGee's. As ALWAYS, I thoroughly enjoy your genuine reactions and thoughtful comments about the music I have enjoyed my whole life, and I look forward to seeing more of your reaction videos!
Love the Brothers Gibb...Andy and Barry were definitely the most handsome...twins Robin and Maurice were awesome too...My first concert was Andy Gibb ❤ Thanks for the childhood memories ❤
You will love Love So Right, Love You Inside Out, Fanny (be tender with my love), How Can You Mend A Broken Heart, To Love Somebody... for starters. After these tracks, there are still over 1,000+ remaining 🥰
I think you will love the song the Bee Gees wrote for Celine Dion "Immortality" the studio making and the Tribute performance are the most memorable. Thank you for being you.
Islands in the Stream was originally written for Marvin Gaye but it was adapted for Dolly Parton and Kenny Roger’s. Chain Reaction given to Diana Ross, Heartbreaker for Dionne Warwick, Guilty album for Barbara Streisand, on and on and on. They wrote the lead song for the film Grease, many of the songs for Saturday Night Fever. Listen to ‘You should be Dancing’ and Tragedy. Wow!
I his song had a big impression on me as a young boy. Loved the Beegees sound and this song.. Not the lyrics but just the vibe reminds me of loved ones, some of them no longer here. 😢 Music is amazingly powerful
"(Shake, Shake, Shake) Shake Your Booty" is a great song by K.C. and The Sunshine Band. Other songs by them are "Get Down Tonight", "Boogie Shoes", and "I'm Your Boogie Man". The Bee Gees wrote songs for a lot of other artists. Two of my favorites are "Islands in the Stream" Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton and "A Woman in Love" by Barbra Streisand.
One of the best groups ever! I grew up with The Bee Gees. Love them! I had a big crush on Barry, snd I’m a black female! ❤ Barry looked absolutely delicious on the Fanny, Be Tender video. I love that they wrote ALL their own songs and so many hits for others too! They considered themselves song writers first; Barry had a big hand in helping Andy’s career writing or cowriter of his hits; background singing; playing the guitar on most of them, co-production, etc. They are in the songwriters hall of fame as well as the rock n roll hall a fame. Barry still holds the record with having either written, sung, and produced 5 of the top 10 singles in the billboard chart at the same time back in the 70’s. Their career spans from 1958 though the 2,000’s!
