Yes sir, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was something else too. They are 🔥 though. Yeah man we could only get what we could afford and I think that’s a big part of why the music meant so much to us compared to too much access kids have today. It’s no surprise Ren and Harry Mack’s fan base tends to be a little older than one would expect.
Brother, it is divine timing that you feel this now. You have a platform to expose this never ending racket and give your spirit to lifting the veil on the evil program. Break the programming.
@@BaconNationChannel We aren't at war in Russia. However, during the Iraq war, the Pentagon actually held a business expo talking about all the great business opportunities there once we took the country over. That literally happened. They treated it like it was fun.
You reminded me of a study I read about years ago that said there's a surprising amount of overlap between metal and classical fans. One of the researchers said something along the lines of metal just being baroque music with screaming and distortion; I always liked that idea.
Keep doing these brother. Bring up the lyrics to all their songs that you have “heard” before and break them down like this. Ariels is gonna blow your mind the same way as this.
FYI Rick Rubin was their producer. You could do the whole Toxicity album. Start with track 1 Prison Song. You’re opening a door to years of exploration. Eventually The Mars Volta is gonna melt your brain.
S.O.A.D. was a band that was totally unique in composing, writing and in performing. Until now there is not one single band around, that is close to their unique approach and their unique style. They created a style of their own. That's pure artistry.
@@jacksmith-vs4ct Only the first album, the rest is very different than SOAD. The closest to them is probably is Daron's other band "Scars on Broadway".
SOAD was my very first concert, took 2 songs before i took an elbow in my face and lost my glasses, and i immediately sucked it up as a loss for the cause 🤘🤘
@@GoForthNDie666 Lol, I know the feeling! I once got stepped out of one shoe and saw it being kicked waaay into the crowd. Later at 4am the cabdriver home looked at me real weird swinging my foot into the car! LOL
@JokerInk-CustomBuilds The same for me as well. I listen to all their stuff since Steal This Album was released and got the opportunity when they headlined a R&R festival.
This song won them a grammy. They are still my favorite band of all time. Just everything they have done I love, even their goofy satirical songs are good. Do Holy Mountains or Streamline next
Greetings from South Africa. Love your analysis of System of a Down Songs. They are epic. I love how they bring their Armenian Folk sound into their music. One of the things that makes the Lead Singer, Serj Tankian's voice so distinctive.
Man I remember having to save my birthday and Christmas money to buy my CDs at the store. It made me appreciate it more . Displaying the cases on a shelf, having to keep them from getting scratched and taking care of them. *nostalgia*
I love this band so much. It’s one of my favorite bands of all time and let me just say this. I’m 54 years old. I’ve been around for a while, I fucking love this band. They are brilliant.
Great reaction and you got it. 99% of the world does not want to be at War . And yes please... More System of a Down! Science has always been one of my favorites.. prison song, sugar and otherwise just check out the rest of the comments.. You can't go wrong. BTW I had the privilege of seeing them twice on the hypnotize / Mesmerize tours ... they rank up with the five times that I saw Rush and the five times I saw Iron Maiden . Thanks keep up the great work👍🖖🍻🇨🇦
you being a hip hop head, you should check ut the collab they did with wu-tang clan, "shame", which is originally wu-tangs song from the album 36 chambers but they made a rock version with SOAD for the loud rocks compilation
Dude's such a backbone. Not flashy like some of the metal drummers I love but just a metronome. Very tight. Knows how to fill the space in the right way.
Bro all 5 albums are stacked with amazing songs, and ive just stumbled into your channel watching rock/metal reactions and just seeing the genuine reaction and hype you got from the video is amazing. I hope you get to make videos for as many song from them as you can and i will watch all of them for sure
Bring Your Own Bombs... yes. This entire double album (Hypnotize/Mesmerize) is incredible. My favorite song is the closing track called "Soldier Side" which opens the first of the two albums with an intro version of the song... then the 2nd album closes with the full song. Incredible.
It's like you're reading my mind!! As I'm discovering a deeper meaning to the song you'll pop off with the same thought! The 90s was an amazing era for music I am a rock kid in the same way that you are a rap kid and watching you react to all of this music I grew up on makes me realize if they're speaking to the times that were in right now!! Some of us have been in that mindset since back then and it's really nice to see the rest of the world catch up!
Loved the reaction! SOAD was all I listened to in middle school. Check out the lead singer Serj Tankian's solo work. His song 'Empty Walls' is amazing.
Thanks for your honest reaction! Thank you for deep diving! AND understanding that shite is really bad right nowt! It's now Jan 30th and 3 soilders were unalived in Jordan... all from my great state of GA. I'm genx and from the military environment and have seen enough of it! SOAD are from Armenia so a lot of lyrics comes from their side of the world too.
bang on point bro!! glad your enjoying, and their creative ability to put these messages across, the actual quality of song while saying something is what they really are amazing at!
this is why i watch you man, i love when people are real and react to a video in real time instead of other channels watching a video and looking up all the lyrics then recording content.
My favorite System of a Down song might be Mr. Jack. Its an early album but an amazing song. If you ever do decide to check out their music Mr. Jack is a good one..off my favorite album of theirs "Steal this Album" all the songs are bangers.
You got a subsribe from me, man 🙌 This reaction was awesome and I love that you dove into the lyrics! Everything that you said - facts, and I'm here for it! Looking forward to more! 😁
Yessss SOAD is one of my all time favorites. Seems like strike issues if you gotta cover up the videos so i dont expect more of them.... but man im here for them, music video or not. So glad you vibed with em!
Nice content bro. First time I ever heard of you was when I used to watch team backpack videos and saw a Cypher you did. Glad to see you pop back up on my feed.
I'm here for it! And while you are going through SOAD you can also check Serj Tankian's solo work. You would for sure enjoy the lyrics as much. “Empty Walls” is a good place to start.
Dude, you got the meaning of this tune spot on. The CDB tune Uneasy Rider you reviewed recently you were 180 out on. I really enjoy your discovery of things I know and love.
I have their vinyls. I will always hold a place for system in my heart. They bring me so much nostalgia ahaha I really apreciate you going down a rock metal + rabbit hole BP. 🤟😊✌️🖤
I do love SOAD, and your reaction was lovely. I have nothing to add that wasn't already commented on, merely a suggestion. Under the catagory ethnic folk metal, specifically Indian. Think SOAD meets Bollywood, the band is Bloodywood, a great start is Gaddaar, but they have many fantastic songs, great catalog. Fully subtitled for ease of understanding. Really love them, and love your depth of reaction. I think you will love the mix of melody, and rap. Enjoy
A band from my childhood and adolescence they hold a special place in my musical heart. Check out nightwish one of my absolute favorite bands check out their song dark chest of wonders
I’m more on the speed of Ozzy’s War Pigs myself, but I’ve never had the time to sit down and figure out the lyrics to songs like these. Too busy working, raising babies, and watching the actual news to keep my family safe. Thank you. It’s actually interesting now that I’m old. 😊
Hey i loved ur reaction to this , its great to see people who grew up listening to one type of music can now appreciate what us metal heads loved all along , but even as a metal head i still loved other kinds of music to just that metal was my fave , soad singer serj tankien , did solo stuff too empty walls was a great one , the music video being especially moving ..... also question by soad is another fave honestly the list goes on n on 🤘🏼🖤🤘🏼
I enjoy your intelligent and authentic breakdowns. You 'react', but you offer an informed outlook and response that is usually well reasoned and insightful. I think you should easily in the millions for subs, because listening to you feels like listening to an old friend. Also, your original content does not go unnoticed and is quite good. Keep killing it, Black!
“Kneeling roses disappearing into Moses’s dry mouth” is one of my favorite lyrics ever. It’s a poetic way to express the idea of young innocent Americans going off to war in the Middle East and dying after being basically bribed to go with “wem’ll pay for your college tuition, it will be awesome!”
Glad you enjoyed this. When they hit the scene, they blew me away. I couldn't believe how unique they were and rocked! On another note I always thought the party part was because so many have no skin in the war, like now, folks are partying while we are funding wars elsewhere without a care in the world.
Check out Prison song! Another great message, genius song with substance. These guys were special. Thanks for always having such an open mind. It already hit 10k!
In old school circles, BYOB to a gathering or party was Bring Your Own Bottle. Regardless of what the contents were. It took my old butt a long time to realize what the name of this song was. Lol
Words are the doorway to reason and thought. Expanding your understanding of language gives you tools to express and understand the minds of others. THAT is why the pen is mightier than the sword.
Great review and you are spot on. I was in Iraq in ‘05 when this came out and we understood it immediately. There weren’t any Bushes or Clintons in the unit with us.
I love this is both a commentary about how "the masses" go to war instead of the leaders, but also about the American culture of war. We glorify war and military service to the point that we go to the war and it feels like when a friend calls from a party..."Hey man, where the fuck are you? The party's going here, when are you coming out?" The same way people get pressured by their friends to come to a party, we pressure our society to join a war. It's honorable (cool) to join the military (cool kids) and be part of that life.
You're right, dude, great art is open to many interpretations. SOAD is one of those artists that defy categorization. They are a genre unto themselves (much like Pink Floyd). Great reaction!
Seeing your reaction to this tells me that you HAVE to check out “Panic Room” by Silent Planet. As a hiphop head, the lyricism alone will knock your socks off. That being said, here’s my SOAD recommended viewing list: -Prison Song -Deer Dance -Forest -Holy Mountains -Lost in Hollywood -Sad Statue -Attack Cheers!
