She was right up front, most likely a groupie (or wannabe groupie) and she was just non-verbally communicating to him what she had to, um... offer. LOL
One of the most overrated Scorpions songs. It was absolutely not popular in Europe, however, for some unknown reason, became their most well known song in the US.
Klaus is criminally underrated as a singer. His voice is just stunning. One of my favorite songs of all time. BP, I encourage you to give The Zoo a listen -- it's a real banger from Scorpions!
I still have this song on a mixtape (music cassette) that my cousin recorded for me. 😊 If you bought high quality cassettes they still work today as good as they did in the 80s.
The anguish in his voice and the whining, stinging bite of the guitars are perfectly matched. Add in the desperate plea of the lyrics and you have the most powerfully moving rock ballad of all time!! Still loving you baby....whoooo! Cheers\=/\=/
i grew up on the 80s. i was born in 90, wishing i could of grew ⤴during that time and had gotten a chance to see my musical heroes in concert. my parents did me right on my pure undeniable love for music. 80s and older will live on forever!
1985 my little stick shift car…I listened to this cassette over, over and over. Almost 40 yrs later singing to this video. Great reaction! This what I did with many groups in the 80s.
I've seen Scorpions live a few times, including just a couple years ago, and they sound just like this live. Not just a studio band. Great show every time! 🔥🤘😎
Klaus Meine is one of the best vocalists in metal. His voice is astounding. Scorpions is a seriously underrated band. "Rock You Like A Hurricane," "The Zoo," "Big City Nights," "No One Like You," and "Holiday" are just some of their best. As a guy who loves guitar...I love Rudolf Schenker (with the mustache and the Gibson Flying V guitar), and Matthias Jabs (clean-shaven with the Gibson Explorer guitar), and their work on this track is FIRE!!!
I only know about the Scorpions because my mother was a big fan of their music. I suggest "Rock you like a hurricane " or "No one like you" next. They were definitely a Rock/ Ballad band. That woman had that "Hawk Tauh" look on her face 😂
I've seen them in concert in the 80's and his voice is piercing! The part at the end where he starts the I'm Still Loving You gives me chills still! Amazing!
Scorpions are one of the most underrated bands ever. All their albums from the 70s, With Schenker and Roth, are some of the best hard rock/proto metal albums of all time
@@eriklarson9137 That seems to be a thing these days, I see comments like that under a lot of reaction videos where iconic bands and singers are reviewed. Daryl Hall, Jackson Browne, Quiet Riot, Guns ´n Roses are just a few "underrated" bands and singers 😂
@@eriklarson9137 Cause 90% of their fans only know Winds Of Change and Rock You Like A Hurricane. Lonesome Crow, Fly To The Rainbow, Virgin Killer, THATS Scorpions
My favorite band of all time! I’m 60 now and I’ve loved them since I was 17. 🦂♥️🦂 That girl in the front row has great taste in guys. Matthias Jabs is my crush still after all these years.♥️
Yes, definitely a power ballad. And definitely live! So different from the record version. Since this a German Band, let me thank you in German: ich bin total geflasht daß du das gespielt hast. Einfach oberaffengeil. Mega! Danke!
He did sound exactly like this live! He's older now, lost a tad of his sharpness, but still awesome! 9 months after this song was released there was a baby boom in many European countries, specially France. We just lived back than .. unlike young folk now! And didn;t you see the passionated face of Matthias (guitarist) in this clip .. would make me lick my lips too 😇
I can only dream of a day when a reactor actually reacts to the full song which is a full 6 and a half minutes, missing so much guitar and vocal greatness with the truncated versions. I'm sure they are just reacting to the versions with the most views but some songs just have so much more to appreciate. They do it with Ram Jam's Black Betty too. The album version is almost 4 minutes long and they all react to the official video which is barely 2 and a half minutes.
Yes - one of the best power ballads of the mid 80's. I was 18 the summer this popped and I remember listening to it on a constant loop on my friend's cassette player in his studio apartment. We'd jam like 20 of us in there - party, be 80's stupid, - and crank this song especially but this entire album as loud as it would go. You brought back some really good memories today! And this is still one of my all-time favorite songs! Thanks. They are also German and at that point at least, didn't speak any English.
This is one of my favorites as well. Not to mention holiday and no one like you and Rock. You like a hurricane and the zoo. And send me an Angel. I think they're like two or three more that I like. The rest I haven't heard all of
They use some references in their songs about some kind of change. What their describing is the fact around their time when the wall between east and west Germany came down.
I got to see them in the early eighties. Had my hand up in the air swaying with the music. And the guy in the yellow stripped pants came over and held my hand. I about fainted lol. But I'm surprised you haven't noticed in all these live concerts from the eighties swinging there panties and bras to throw. If you read this you'll see it next time. I didn't do that but I was always up front and saw it allot.
I went to see The Scorpions live at the Apollo theatre in Glasgow when I was about 19. Now 58. They were outstanding. A night I have never forgotten. Thank you for the reminder.
Klaus’ voice is insane. Yes him and Dio with their high range with voice control etc. Yes it’s a power ballad. When our 80’s music is slowed down, usually a love song or heartbreak. 🤘🏻💯🇺🇸
I just saw them for the 4th time a couple months ago. He's still wailing (not as intensely), even at 76! The first time in 1982. The best concert I've ever been to, to date! 😊
This was my and my husband's song in the early 80s (our relationship had it's challenges) and its still "our song" today (no issues, just the emotion of it!). This song is so beautiful and Klaus' voice ... it's angelic and perfect. Yet, he can still scream on other songs. He's amazing.
You nailed it BP, the quintessential Rock ballad/anthem. When you want that connected soul and gut visceral feeling this is the cornerstone song. Long live Rock!
