#RoGuaNavy Every teenage boy? No! Everyone who is attracted to women. She's the ONLY woman I had on my wall as another woman myself. I had such a massive crush on her, as a teenage girl and as an adult woman.
I miss those years 20 in 1982 30 1992 rough time then but that decade beat yes I partied ass off FSU Big Rapids MI yes got lots of cuties back then lol
I was just going to say the same 2 songs. Man, the memories of having teenage girl hormones when this stuff came out! lol Man, the memories of having the body of a teenage girl instead of an old lady. lol
The actual orchestral part was programmed and played by session keyboardist Don Airey. Don has been the keyboard player in Deep Purple since 2002. Don did two albums with Whitesnake. The violin bow is faked even live. The orchestral part is done by a keyboard player or it's on a backing track.
In the mid late 80's, Whitesnake was on top of world!!! And I'll say it again and again, my childhood was in the 70's and my teen years were in the 80's. I couldn't have been born in the BEST TIME!!!!!
We lived in the greatest era for Rock Music, beautiful ladies, and recreational mood enhancing “supplements”. We also lived PRE AIDS/HIV and were able to live dangerously with the ladies. 😂 I wouldn’t trade 1980 - 1985 for ANYTHING, with 1983 being extra special!
Nothing can ever be enough said about David Coverdale the singer's voice whitesnake's been out since the seventies every lineup has been incredible always has top tier musicians with him
I always figured the spray was her perfume mixed with the smoke from that cigarette she had earlier in the video. A lot of women spritz it in the air and walk through the spray so it isn't overpowering.
Still love Whitesnake all these years later. This is one of my fav songs. IMO the musical composition here is pure genius. Thanks for reacting. Keep Whitesnake coming 😊
Take me down slow and easy, make love to me slow and easy....Slow and Easy. Slide it, right to the Top, Slide it in, ain't never gonna stop....Slide it In. A couple other Whitesnake jams to check out.
Tawny Kitaen was married to a Pitcher Chuck Finley of California Angels and there was a domestic disturbance and she was charged with domestic violence and he actually missed a start do to the injuries he sustained...a few months later he was warming up for a game against the White Sox and the White Sox DJ played this song over the PA...the DJ was fired that day
Okay the 80s weren't just for the guys. These bands were primarily for the ladies for the women to go to the concert so the boys would follow because I damn well know we were licking that fucking screen watching the men in the bands. The 80s were so awesome! 😊
Tawny Kitaen appeared in several 80's rock videos. Before Whitesnake she dated a guitarist from an LA band RATT. She appeared in their videos & on a couple of their album covers. She dated OJ Simpson once or twice also
She also dated a pitcher from the California Angel's, by the name of Chuck Finley. Yes, you can invert the 1st syllables of the 1st & last names & come up with something... interesting. Just picture Kitaen: "Chuck me harder, please!"
And then later in life she beat the hell out of her husband, professional baseball player Chuck Finley, so bad that he had to miss a start, she was arrested on abuse charges and he had to get a restraining order against her. Still, nothing will ever take away the memories of watching her in these videos as a teenager.
There's no comparison between this song and how women are sung about in rap songs. This is hot. A sexy man singing about his gorgeous woman. And that breakdown with the guitar played with a bow is fire. Definitely playlist.
Still of the Night is my absolute favorite White Snake song. Total eargasm. The rocking out, the build then the release. The violin/guitar playing makes my heart kick into overdrive every time since I was a teen in the 80's
@@dawnbailey910 Some years after Eddie Phillips of TheE Creation. There are some videos online for "Making Time" and Painter Man" by them. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eddie_Phillips_(musician)
When you see him do this LIVE…. Omg. The song is about sex like most rock songs. But it’s not verbally aggressive. Rap is about vulgarity. Not one vulgar word in this song. Yes…. This song is a little harder rock than others you’ve heard.
I'm amazed how "offended" he gets by these "tongue in cheek" tame rock songs. I guess he never heard of Sex, Drugs and R&R "Clutching his pearls" because of some PG Rated imagery is laughable compared to blatant Rap songs and videos. It's practically p_rn
I saw them live in 1990. At one point during the set, both of the guitarists and bassist were using bows, they were playing Beethoven. It was so crazy good, I bet 90%+ of the crowd had no clue, but everyone was going wild.
This is one the best songs of the 80s! Getting to see this live is an experience I'll never forget. Slow and Easy,Slide it In,Fool for your Lovin, Give Me All Your Love. Here I Go Again has been overplayed to the nth degree. We lived the sex, drugs and rock n roll life everyday!
Yes, that's his girl. same woman--Tawny Kitaen (RIP). And yes, the 80's "hair bands" were all about exemplifying sex, drugs, and rock-n-roll. But Whitesnake was more than just a hair band. their music effortlessly blends powerful rock anthems with soulful ballads, showcasing their unparalleled ability to evoke deep emotions and electrify audiences. Their timeless sound and charismatic performances continue to captivate fans, like myself, across generations, solidifying their place in rock history.
David Coverdale was married to Tawny Kitaen, who a lot of people remember from "Bachelor Party" with Tom Hanks. David is one of the best vocalist in the biz, with incredible range. He was also in Deep Purple in the middle 70's when Tommy Bolin replaced Richie Blackmore when he and Roger Glover left to form Rainbow. The guitarist on this vide was John Sykes, not Vivian Campbell, who had been fired by Whitesnake partway through the recording of this album.
Tawney Kitaen. She was in about half of the music videos and album covers produced during this period along with several movies. Sadly, she just passed away a couple of years ago. She was married briefly to David Coverdale, and dated O.J. Simpson (among many others) when he was still married.
This is the song we'd use to ensure our car steroes and amps were tuned just right. Pushing those 3-way 6X9s to the max. My little Toyota 4X4 had an Alpine head unit, and Qty 6 - 6X9s, 2 - 6in 2ways, 2 - 4in 2ways, a couple tweeters and a 1200W multichannel amp. That thing shook to this song.
This was our jam driving around in the late 80's with the windows down blasting this!!!! Checking out the guys hawling hay and just being crazy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The bow on the guitar is the best part. The breakdown is my fave part. The 80s hair bands were all about sex and rock n roll. Whitesnake was huge at the time. I remember my cousin driving me around and blasting them on tape. Yea, that's his girl. She just dyed her hair.
Tawny Kitaen got seen in millions of households thanks to Whitesnake. She was also in Bachelor Party a classic dumb comedy with a very young Tom Hanks. BTW neither of the guitar players in the video (Adrian Vandenberg & Vivian Campbell of Dio fame actually played on this song) the guitar is John Sykes who was in Thin Lizzy.
Definately on my playlist ever since it first came out, and yes , he is using the bow from a violin to play his guitar during that awesome break . Deep purple did it for one of the best rock song intros on knockin at your back door.
I saw them live in Toronto in the late 80s they opened up for Kiss and I had front row center and it kicked ass. If you want to see incredible violin bow on the guitar Led Zeppelin Dazed and Confused live MSG from 1973. Great reaction as usual my friend and Peace out 🙏 ✌️ ☮️
This band had stand out musicians and terrific compositions, Tawny Kitaen and the video are sexy for sure. By the way she was a terrible drug addict and died young. Tommy Aldridge is one of the best drummers to ever do it. David's vocals are amazing, he was formally with Deep Purple. Mtv and 80s sexy videos are terrific, just dont forget the music drives it all. I was in my 20s during the 80s and yes it was a blast. 🤟
As a rocker, yes i can confirm, we are! :) Fun fact, none of the musicians in the video (except the leader singer) were on the album. The album musicians quit the band after the album was made and before the video. So they had find musicians to play for the video. The dark haired guitarist with the pink guitar is now with Def Leppard.
Adrian VanDenburg was on the other guitar ( Vivian Campbell joined Def Leppard). Rudy Sarzo played bass, and Tommy Aldridge played drums in this vid. They DID become the touring band, actually. T
Should check out L.A. Guns. We use to call bands like them sleaze rock. It's heavy metal. Sex Action, Rip and Tear, I Wanna Be Your Man. Guitarist is Tracii Guns. Started a little band with a singer named Axl, back in the day. Such an overlooked band these days.
Steve Vai's riff on this song is just epic. That's the only reason I can think that this song is so much diffrent it was the only whitesnakes album he was in. Cheers Helios from Greece.
Tawny Kataen was the lead singer’s, David Coverdale, wife. Also, Tawny is the girl in most if not all of the Whitesnake videos, she probably just died her hair different colors. The liquid that she was spraying was probably supposed to be perfume.
As a teenager in the 80's it was my goal to emulate a hard rock video vixen. I was born a little too late bc I didn't turn 18 until '92 and only had a few short years left to dress like this at the clubs while it was still the style 😂 These videos were just as much for us girls as the men. These were the men I grew up w on my bedroom walls and always ended up dating. What I wouldn't give for these times back 🤘😝🤘
David Coverdale formed Whitesnake in 1978 after Deep Purple split. They were a heavy Blues Based Rock style. David got Bernie Marsden to join the band and they became song writing partners on many of Whitesnake’s biggest hits. From 1978 to 1982’s Saints and Sinners album, Whitesnake stayed in that Blues Rock lane. Fellow Deep Purple bandmates Ian Paice and Jon Lord joined the band also for a few albums. Then David wanted to jump on the United States Hairband bandwagon and started changing personnel with the 1984 album Slide It In. I still prefer the original Whitesnake lineup and sound. In 1987 Whitesnake released their Hairband debut album Whitesnake, with their revamped lineup, and it contained the hit song “Still Of the Night”, and their biggest hit “Here I Go Again '87" written by David Coverdale and Bernie Marsden. This was previously released on their 1982 album Saints and Sinners. Many of the biggest post ‘87 Whitesnake songs were re-recorded songs from their 1982 and prior albums. "Walking in the Shadow of the Blues" was on their 1979 album Love Hunter and was also written by David Coverdale and Bernie Marsden. Their 1980 album Ready An’ Willing contained the song, “Fool for Your Loving" another great song co-written by David Coverdale and Bernie Marsden. Also on the Ready An’ Willing album was a song that David Coverdale wrote pre Whitesnake, “Blindman”. It is an all time favorite of mine. It is something special. Just a beautiful song. I’ll leave the link for it below. “Blindman” ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pF_gza3e49w.htmlsi=QizGpqHo14zOifVF
The redhead is Tawny Kitaen was David Coverdale's wife from 1989-1991. Check out Deep Purple...the band David was in before Whitesnake. I'm sure you've heard the song "Smoke on the Water"
Sophmore year flashback! 1987 was a great year for music! WHITESNAKE, DEF LEPPARD, DAVID LEE ROTH, all released albums around the same time. There are alot of LED ZEPPELIN connections to WHITESNAKE. Jimmy Page played the guitar with a violin bow in concert on Dazed and Confused. Here, it is Adrian Vandenberg. The lead singer for WHITESNAKE, David Coverdale would do an album a few years later with ZEPPELIN'S Jimmy Page called COVERDALE PAGE. The album cover had a highway merge sign on it.
I’m subbed to 7 music reaction channels, and you have become the only one thatI actually watch every single day. Love most of the music you check out. Gen X from Alabama here ❤
Tawny Kitaen was also Robbin Crosby from Ratt's girlfriend, and she was married to Chuck Finley a famous pitcher for the Los Angeles Angels. She famously attacked him with one of her high heels one time.😮😂
