I’m sitting on my front porch, Sunday morning, crying like a baby. Ohhh. 😢 This reminds me of my Papa. He LOVED Ray Charles and this song. He never knew how to use his tape player so I bought him this tape & showed him how to use it. It was a single. He’d sit in their garage and listen over & over. I gave it to him in 1990 & he went to be with Jesus in 1995. 4 1/2 years he’d listen to this & told me it was the best gift he ever received except my Nannie. Thank you for bringing this special memory back 😢😢😢. ♥️my Papa!
Legendary! This song is so beautiful and a testament to true talent. These 2 considered each other brothers. My favorite Willie song is "Angel Flying Too Close To The Ground.". It gets me every time 😢😢😢
You don’t need history, sweetie. It’s a sweet story of an outlaw and his loving woman. They had a love so strong, they will ride forever together with angels in Heaven.
@@salvatorebaleno9807 red clay strays do a pretty good cover of this, but red clay strays original mucis is awesome, they wil be blowing up very soon! already are really
Just saw Willie in concert on the April 24th! He's on the road again and he'll be 91 on April 29th. Check out "Angel Flying Too Close to the Ground." RIP Ray 💚🤙🏼
Decades later, Willie had a musical Birthday party, his 80th...and special guests , sang tribute....Ray was months away from passing, and in ill health...yet he made the show. and sang to Willie, on stage....and the tears in Willie's eyes, as he listened to his friend sing....is priceless. " A song for you"...is the title. Please react. ❤
Seven Spanish Angels” was conceived as a tribute to the iconic Marty Robbins’ Tejano-flavored classics. This lyrical masterpiece takes us into the world of an outlaw and his lover, racing against time and circumstance as they strive to escape a relentless pursuit. Their embrace embodies a fleeing belief that divine intervention will save them from their fate, but fate has other plans. In
Dude l know you don't take requests, but if you liked this you will love Marty Robbins El Paso. Now this is the first of three songs. The second is Felina, and the third is El Paso City. I promise you won't be disappointed.
In 1962, Ray Charles recorded his album, “Modern Sounds In Country And Western Music”, which reached “Number One” on what was then The Billboard 200 Album Chart. Country music was an important part of Ray Charles’ musical repertoire. He was posthumously inducted into the Country Music Hall Of Fame in 2021.
These two are icons!! This duet gives me chills!! Did you know that Willie even sang at Ray Charles funeral services along with BB King, Stevie Wonder and Glen Campbell. The 2 of them together on this song is absolutely amazing!!
My grandfathers only request as his life came to an end, was to play this song at his funeral. We honored that request and now I only see him when I hear this beautiful song. thank for the reaction!
"Seven Spanish Angels" is a song written by Troy Seals and Eddie Setser, and recorded by Ray Charles as a duet with Willie Nelson. released in November 1984.
When Ray starts with the "well, well, well", that's when the chills and goosebumps just wash over my whole body. I LOVE this song. Thank you for doing it.
I’ll be seeing Willie, Bob Dylan and John Mellencamp in concert in Pittsburgh in September. This is one of my favorite songs, two incomparable icons together!
This is my favorite song by Willie Nelson and Ray Charles it's beautiful ❤😇 This actually on a Ray Charles album. He ask Willie to duet with him.BP,Check out Ray Charles Friendship album perfection 🥰 💞
The rabbit hole you need to go down was an extremely popular guy. He won a ridiculous amount of awards and was popular still when he died, just a few years ago. His name is KENNY ROGERS. Oh my, women went crazy for that man! He deserved ever award he got and every whistle from ladies in the audience. **please start with the live video of Kenny singing "LADY." He is in an all white suit, maybe a gold vest too. Idk 😅 Anyway, you'll see why the world loved this man.** PS He is a great Storyteller. He has a lot of Storytelling songs. He was a successful crossover performer too.
You know it now! My favorite version!!! One of the greatest live songs ever recorded in my opinion! If anyone has anything negative to say about Ray Charles, you better bring receipts. What a special human!! Peace, Love!!
I took my son and daughter and my sister plus 12 of their friends to go see Ray Charles, the man shines, his piano shines, floor shines and even his shoes you could see reflection in😉. Great show and I will never forget! In return my kids took me to see Willie Nelson. Such great performance
My son's cousin, Eddie Setser co-wrote this song as well as many other country hits. Born in Corbin, Ky and raised in Cinn., Eddie was a great guitarist and song writer. I believe he passed away in 2020 at the age of 77. RIP brother.
I remember Ray Charles performing at Jubilee Jam in Jackson, MS in the late 80s. I was a cop working the event and just wanted to hear him live. I was at the back of the auditorium and remember the enthusiasm of the old men sitting in the back shouting in between Ray Charles lines "Sing it Ray, sing it". That moment when you shouted "cook" or so it sounded reminded me of that moment. Thanks again for such honest heart felt reactions.
Willie Nelson has been making music before I was born back in the 1950s. I lived close to Nashville and back in the day of three TV channels, he was on so many regional country shows. I love his evolution over the years. Incredible song writer and unique singer. He’s worked with just about everybody.
I can never get through this song without goosebumps and tears. Glad you reacted to this one, it's a classic. RIP Ray. So many memories. Willie, an A+ for you, Lways!
Always have loved this song. It’s the BEST version. Ray Charles in the early 60s did a couple of country albums. As a young teen I listened to his music nonstop. He could out country, country singers.
Seven Spanish Angels" is a song written by Troy Seals and Eddie Setser, and recorded by Ray Charles as a duet with Willie Nelson. It was released in November 1984 as a single from Charles' 1984 album Friendship.…….. it’s from Wikipedia….it was popular with some musicians….Marty Robbins also did this type of music enjoy 😊
It isn't widely known that Ray Charles sand county and western music. He had a complete album of country music. Willie is the king of duets. This song was definitely western. Back when it was called country and western. An iconic duo and iconic song.
There`s a special kind of magic unfolding when the best of the best come together and support each other`s awesomeness. I love your reactions so much. You are treating artists and their music with the respect they deserve. You`re feeling music in a way not everybody can. THANK YOU!
I've heard this song over 100 times probably.. but it still grips me when Ray sings the first notes.. what a talent. Just another amazing artist that I have to say RIP.. I just watched you reacting to a Waylon song with a friend.. talking about how country music is stereotyped as being racist and Waylon wasn't.. another example of no racism in country music.
I was lucky enough to see Ray Charles around 1982 in Florida. It was just him and a grand piano. One of the best music nights I've ever experienced. He was truly amazing. Also saw Willie several times at Caesars Palace (my work place mid 80s to mid 90s) where he would finish his sold out show at the Colosseum by doing loads of encore songs then he would come out into the casino bar and play his acoustic for a couple of hours more. And, yes a true gentleman. Willie also has the best movie line I've ever heard in The Electric Horseman that was filmed at Caesars. It concerns a keno girl.
Hard to beat two of the most Iconic soulful musicians of multiple decades singing a duet. Cheers BP. PS. A good story (whether based on reality or fiction) is always worth telling. IMHO
Thank God for the USA. This talent is allowed to grow and this is what the world loves. Peg you are doing an amazing job bringing greatness back to all of us. Thank you...
used to sing this for my ex father-in-law and his fishing buddies way back early 80s, 80-81when this first came out, we'd be driving back from his fishing cabin/hut and every time he'd say...sing us Seven Spanish Angles son. . 😅 love the song
When i was in college, Ray Charles played a concert after our Homecoming game in the Superdome. This song hadn't been released yet, but it was still a great show.
