I purchased an new aftermarket carburetor for my 2004 Yamaha Raptor 660 R from Amazon. Not a complete how-to video on how to install it, just my two cents.
I been looking for a full image of the left side drain tube and where it routes I thought it connected elsewhere it’s just a drain tube so I am working on the same model and the left hose is missing the plug screw is tightened but leaks there at the bore where the missing tube hugs onto the throttle body thank you for sharing this video it helps so much
Had the same leaking issues on the right side carb, till I finally pulled the float and needle then the seat cleaned the trash from the seat port and no more leak . Bench test with tank on table to verify the float would seat before sitting back on the bike
Please help I have looked every where and cant not find out a easy way to hook up the choke cable they only what I found to get to it is to take the top of the carb off is there and easier way?
How did it perform over all? Do I recommend a eBay or the original? I currently have a eBay one here that the guy gave me when I got the raptor but idk if to clean mine or just install the eBay one. My quad sputter badly at full throttle then does a loud backfire when I let off at high rpm when I let off at times. Need ur feedback please and thanks
Im in the same boat here, I ended up changing the carbs since the stock one was to gummed up, and the ebay one works but it sounds off, idk how to adjust it...🤷🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️🤷🏿♂️
I dont know why but getting the carbs back in was a joke. You get them in and tightened. i barley push down on the carbs and they fall out of the boots.
Where does that bigger black tube coming out the middle of the carb go? I was taking my old one out and it wasn't hooked to anything, is that a drain tube also?
AnotherMondayMusic if you are talking about the black tube the goes to the middle of the carbs, mine doesnt go anywhere either. I even lost the hose so its just a nipple
What is that red wire that is connected to the casa of the engine Because I am having problems with my raptor not wanting to start If you could send me a picture of your starter relay and show me where that wire is coming from Please
I've had horrible luck with the Ebay/Amazon china carbs.. No matter what just cant seem to get them tuned in. I ditched the one i bought and found an OEM one.

x2 or is it the float x2? If these carbs work....amazing Chinese clone....not supporting but for $$$$'s I bend and no shop can rebuild stock carbs for the price.......GRRRR!
