I was 13 remember picking up a brand new one from dealer 2.2 5 speed it was considered the big block 4 cyl then great memories in that car dash lit up a glowing green color at night man them were the good days a awsome time to grow up as a teen
One of my favorite car i owned was my 87 charger 5 spd bought it with 485000 kms ran (hammered) it 560000 km where the rings left the chat and couldn't see behind me loved that car it was a blast burning tires off it i still miss it damn it was tough and fast for a little 2.2 carb
Keep posting frequently with this car and do good editing and you’ll blow up.. no one else got one of these and it’s super cool! People would love to see you restore it, I know it don’t sound too fun but people will love it so much
@@RealSteelFabrications the first Turismo video! We just bought a 1989 Chrysler TC by maserati with a 2.2 turbo 2. Was looking for inspiration thru the Missouri winter months.
My Dad bought this exact model with the black interior new off the showroom floor in 1983. He picked me up from after school daycare (I was 6yrs old) and it was AWESOME! Lol.. I told him when he was tired of it, I wanted it. Fast Forward 10 years, and my Dad gave it to me for my first car. That thing went on so many road trips and camping trips I just kept all my equipment in the hatch. Had to sell it when I went into the USMC, but I've always missed it.. Have fun driving it!!
I had an 83.Drove it from 1986 to 1991.It sure was a clunky, rattly car compared to the wisper quiet things we have now,but it was very peppy and fun to drive. What happened to your cats tail??
There might be an adjustment that will cure your inability to find first easily. Not exactly the same trans, but I had a 89 LeBaron with an A555. Reverse was first, first was third, second was fourth, and third was fifth - and the transmission would roll like it was in neutral when stopped in gear. I was missing a clip on the shifter cable between the engine and driver fender. Any slop can throw off your ability to shift into the correct gear. Easiest to get to through the driver side fender well with wheel removed. There was also and adjustment procedure for mine, but I can't remember how to do it. I believe your transmission is an A525.
Those 2.2 s are indestructible. Nice video . Frame looks pretty bad tho. Had one with the fake side scoops in the 80s 😂. Not much horsepower but light weight car throw around car . Hmm .. the Possibility’s…Have fun with it !
I had a friend that lives with his grandma she relented and bought him a car to get him out of the house I think. immediately came to my house and the tried to show me how fast it was on a dirt road whipping the wheel back and forth it was even an automatic for for Jesus sake long story long story he crashed into a ditch at about 20 miles an hour.
We had two cats like that, they are called Manx, or you got the Japanese bobtail too. They are just that way, no tail. They are great though, personality wise, really smart, a lot of them will play fetch. lol. Oh and by the way, cool little car, one of our friend around here has one, not sure if it's the tourismo or the charger, but it's the same body style and the engine look the same.
