Awesome dually! I also have a 2018 3500 Laramie in Delmonico red with the g56 srw though absolutely love the truck especially the manual transmission such a joy to drive.
Hell yeah it does, I've got a 2012 g56 with SDD3250-GK clutch, fass 165gph, s465 2.6pulling turbo, longhorn traction bars and CTT tuning and the g56 is just so much fun to drive and play around with!!!! Just wish it was in Delmonico red and 4*4.
To do away with the light over the shifter dim your lights down until you feel the knob click over. Down side is you turn off the interior lights that come on when the doors open not terrible nice to be able to knock it down on a long trip especially with tint. Also use efi when the time comes it will disable the torque management and make the truck shift like the older ones (no rpm climb and normal fall when the clutch is in) also the only plus side I see to the air dump is when you are turning into a farm or job site and the trailer may get in the ditch or the terrain is drastic change it could make the difference between the trailer getting into the bed side. I’ve had mine very close the squat worked in my favor. Very nice truck sir.
Beautiful truck. I thought about looking for an 18 g56 dually since it's the last year. Currently I'm holding onto my 2012 g56 Big Horn dually that I drove across the country for since it was last year without DEF. Hold onto it because someone will just have to have that truck if you ever decide to sell it.
So my 2010 g56 with a scratch on passenger side bed is very rare it's the only one with that combination with the scratch. If anyone finds one like this please let me know so I can maybe dent it somewhere to keep it one of a kind.
Yeah I got a 2017 delmonico red g56 2500 why they got rid of the manuals is a shame. If I ever end up getting a new dually I will send it to have the Aisin swapped out with a Eaton fuller manual. Preferably with high low switch. Great choice on color
Talbot_Industries I never thought I’d see the day when a manual transmission was the option and not the standard. And shame on cummins because you can still get it with a manual in commercial applications for example school buses or dump trucks so cummins could have made it happen. In fact cummins should be the one mating it with a transmission anyway. This whole excuse oh the high output 6.7 makes two much torque it will tear up the G56. Then get the manual they use in the commercial trucks those dump trucks with the 6.7 in them some can pull upwards of 40, 000lbs that’s why they made the high output 6.7 in the first place not for Ram. Just like the electric semi cummins came out with before Elon musks version.
Nice overview. I also have a very similar truck, 2018 G56, Mega, DRW, Laramie. My build date was November of 2018 as well. Who did you email at FCA to find the build number info? Also, I could not agree more about the rear seats not being heated, they have room for the switches. I was pissed because the dealer told me the were heated. I really wanted to do a special order but all the dealers, even one owned by a friend that I was dealing with told me the 2019 was going to be the same truck. Once again not happy with a dealership. Oh, and I also went with some DuraFlaps. haha
it tows pretty descnent. i have 3.73 gears. 1-4 pull like a champ. 5-6 you need some rpm and momentum to maintain speed. even on the highway. its very hilly where i live. ive got used to it and just have to plan for the hills
@@tonyturner779 it's 1 of 12 for the year. Look up production run numbers for 2018. Literally produced 12 mega cab dually/g56 Laramie trucks for the entire year.... so no, your 2012 poverty wagon is not even close.
