Chinese workers are hard working, driven to succeed, and take great pride in their work. This is not just a cultural phenomena, Chinese love their country because their country takes care of them and has visibly improved their quality of life. American workers are lazier and resentful because they see the great inequality which exists in their society and don't feel like their efforts are being rewarded. Most Americans are barely surviving and realize that their government doesn't give a damn about them when it can send hundreds of billions to Ukraine and Israel but can't find money for social security or infrastructure maintenance. This is why China keeps getting better at everything compared to America.

Im not sure the US has quality anymore. Look at Ukraine, HIMARS, HARM, military drones are all failing due to jamming and other measures. These are extremely expensive munitions that have mostly lost their bang for buck on the battlefield to the point where the Ukrainians dont even want some of these weapons anymore. US weapons might look pretty but for the most part they are not built for real war. Just the other day a photo of a US nuclear sub going to sea covered in rust, F-22's coatings have this bad rust all over them. Quality? I dont think so - they may look pretty but that doesnt equal quality.

China’s ship building has greatly benefited from economy of scale and intelligent planning by China’s leadership. Their investment in improved shipbuilding processes/technology makes them able to corner the world ship building market based on lower cost. Also top planing keeps the workers steadily employed, and the skilled workers are the key enabler of their success. Compare this to the US administration jerking auto manufacturers around by policy and overriding politics.when the administration forced GM and Ford to commit billions to EkectrIc Vehicles before they were ready, they fell flat with overpriced poor performing EVs doomed to fail against comoetion from Tesla (and now China). The administration went so far as to call Ford the world leader in EVs and literally ignored the existence of Tesla. The resulting big fails of GM and Ford were disruptive and costly. Compare that to China’s approach to many industries, where government policy and material support build centers of world leadership

How old are you? 10? Who cares how many shipyards they have you idiot. This is why people like you won't ever be a general because you think like a private. China does not have the natural resources in abundance to wage war, They have to import everything, including the raw materials that make steel, China does not have a stable electrical grid, no fuel or gas they have to import everything, China's naval fleet runs on gas, They have a few type 93 subs that have reactors but 98 percent of the fleet requires fuel, those subs will be among the first to be targeted. Grow the fugg up man if America needs to build more ship yard they can do it overnight, just like they can reactivate closed bases. Its cheaper profit-wise to build stuff overseas for the corporate slave masters that way they double their profits. If we have to go to war we will see a change overnight in the manufacturing of war goods.
@rainbowsixODST
@rainbowsixODST Месяц назад
This is why the U.S. needs to use its allies to close the gap. Mistakes have been made and it’s too late to go back and fix them in the short term. We should instead task Japanese and South Korean ship yards with building up our fleet. Let Carriers, Cruisers and Destroyers be built in the USA while the Frigates and corvette size vessels are built overseas to our designs. Or at least spread the work out. There is some good new though. The Philadelphia shipyard was just bought by South Korea’s largest ship builder so hopefully they can fully restore it and we can start making warships there again via the SK company.

By logical extension China's efforts to strengthen their military aircraft manufacturing would be greatly boosted by a thriving commercial aircraft industry - from design to production, from certification to MRO. This also means inevitable conflict with the American giant, Boeing. In the opposite direction, if the United States loses commercial aircraft manufacturing to other countries, then their military aircraft manufacturing will also suffer as a result.

I used to work in a Japanese EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) Company. That company also have a sister company that is a Shipbuilding Company. I have seen the difference how the asians do strict quality in Design, Engineering, Procurement and Construction. I was able also to work with and American Engineering and Construction Company. To compare between a Japanese and American company has huge differences. Japanese Engineers and Designers work with Patriotism and Nationalism. They work at least 12 hours a day plus they work at weekends sometimes even sunday. That is beyond productivity. The Japanese used the Modern Engineering Standards and the metric system whereas, the Americans are still using the less accurate and complicated old measurement standard which is the English system. Another thing, the Japanese are working with very high ethical standards or very high Work Ethics. They work on time, never late, less absent, they work clean, neat, order and with high quality. In comparison, when i was in the USA to work in a collaborated project with american engineers, they used the old english units which is very complex to use. Some Engineers come to work late (tardy), some are often absent and some are involved on extra curricular activities even during working hours. Its the working culture and work ethics that differs the most. In conclusion of the comparison, the Japanese working culture is way better than the American working culture. Again, Asians win ! Let's discuss about China. I have obvserved that the trend of Research and development, Manufacturing, Engineering and Construction has moved to Asia in the 2000's. China has risen quickly in its economy because of multi billions worth of projects in Engineering and Construction. One big factor is the manpower. Millions of Chinese workers are so easily available for employment. These workers can be easily trained because of the adequate and modern education system of China. Another big factor is modern Design and Engineering. China was able to surpass Japan, South Korea and USA on many Engineering and Construction projects because China has better Universities and best education system. This has been proven since current top engineering schools are now in China. One big thing that made China also powerful is their culture. Their Philosophy and Faith helped them rise up into a powerful nation. That is Confucianism and Buddhism that taught the Chinese People Morals and Discipline. And the biggest influence that made China the most powerful country is the Communist Party of China. Its strict Laws and strict implementation of laws of the Communist Party of China molded the culture of the Chinese People to be Hardworking, United, Honest, High Integrity, and last but Not the least, top in Patriotism and Nationalism. If you see the American culture, many Americans became complacent, lax, lazy and they keep on whining (complaining). In layman's term, the American workers are like spoiled brats. Whereas, the Asians, the Chinese workers in particular are Hardworking, High Integrity, Patriotic and Nationalistic. Culture and Philosophy is a big factor. The system of government is also a big factor. I will give praise, honor and respect to the Communist Party of China for their excellent job of molding China into a very efficient and powerful nation and we hope China can continually help the entire world to be a better place to live.

The other reason is the total incompetence in the US Navy Bureau of ships-examples: the USS Zumwalt: supposed to be the new standard destroyer-techically advanced, stealthy, exotic weaponry-cancelled because it was too expensive; (2) the Littoral Combat Ship: 3 built, all decommissioned..hulls failed, propulsion system failed, softwar control system failed; $4.5 billion thrown away. United States barely has any commercial ship building orders is why they are falling behind…..their shipyard live on congress’s budget means shipyards don’t make any profit……while Chinese shipyards can create profit by making commercial ships. My parents’ company used to work with Jiangnan shipyard, tbh the current ship building speed is far from reaching the limit, the shipyard’s major focus is still on building commercial ships…..since building warships doesn’t make a lot of money.

You sir think like a most fools, Money drives the world. Profits is the name of the game. China has to import everything needed to build anything. Corporations build there because of cheap labor. Because of China's cheap labor it leads the world in steel production. It's cheaper for a company to ship the resources to China for manufacturing. China leads the world in steep production, but China has to import the iron ore from Australia to make the steel. How long will China be able to make steel during war? China imports 174 billion dollar worth of ore to feed their steel building industry. Just like everywhere else in China people will simply leave China because of all the drama produced by the CCP. Without Australian ore China will not be able to produce steel or build ships. So to say that China has 200 shipyards don't mean a damn thing because China does not have its own source of ore. The same thing applies to oil, to fuel your war machine, ships, tank, planes, trucks. If war broke out today do you think those 200 ship yards would be able to build a damn thing? This was the one thing Japan knew before attacking America was waking the sleeping Giant they gambled and lost. America alone has all the resources to manufacture war waging materials. Today It would take a bit of time but if we had the need to ramp up production it would happen quickly without importation of any raw materials from outside sources. With the symbiotic relationship with our partners relative to treaties nothing can stop the American war machine.

It's always frustrating to talk with Americans on the issue of ship building. When told about the volume of China ship building they say "hurr durr government subsidies, cheap labour and material, its not sustainable !!" . But the fact remains that China is able to get the ships that it want, when it want and at the price that it wants. Whereas US shipyards struggle to put out 2 Aleigh Burkes and 2 Virginia subs per year. In contrast, China is putting out the entire tonnage of the French Navy annually since the 2000s and this is not likely to stop soon. It's almost like they are making an excuse for their own inabilities and incompetency, well excuses and whining isn't going to win fights when the shooting starts. Just saying. They keep saying that the US navy must have more ships like that gonna somehow fall outta the sky for them.

No, it is not what’s going with US ship building. US shipyards have no issue keeping busy. The jones act ensures that (though it’s far from perfect). The US is not well suited to compete in an industry as labor cost heavy as commercial shipbuilding. It’s an issue that is already beginning to affect China, as demonstrated by the strong correlation between education levels & youth unemployment.
@ragabara1031
@ragabara1031 Месяц назад
The Jones Act is part of the problem. Only American ships can be used in American port-to-port connections -> Much less incentive to innovate American domestic shipping due to lack of foreign competition -> American ports fall behind the requirements of global commercial shipping -> American ports lose international traffic to competition -> Far fewer shipping companies are willing to ship to American ports -> Far fewer companies are willing to purchase more ships from American shipbuilders for international shipping -> American shipbuilding declines

They may never have heard of it because Chinese propaganda tells people in what areas China is strong and where it is weak. Every Chinese knows at least three industries in which China lags behind the United States, such as advanced semiconductors, so the whole of China will have a strong incentive to catch up with the United States. And American political propaganda is entertainment, not conducive to the party atmosphere of things, the United States government will not tell Americans. Until it can't be covered up, so Americans have no idea what's going on in the world shipbuilding industry or the electric car industry, and their first reaction is: Did the Chinese steal our technology again? In fact the potential for the United States to steal Chinese technology is also very high in many industrial sectors.

United States, Navy warship tonnage is 4,000,000 tons. About double that lof he Chinese Navy .Despite having the second largest navy in the world by tonnage, China is also the least experienced, their most recent activity being harassing Filipino fishing boats. A good place to gain experience would be the Red Sea just south of the Suez Canal, where are the Hootie rebels and Somali pirates are harassing trade between China and Europe. The Chinese navy would gain valuable experience, escorting ships in that vulnerable region. They could also make use of their put in Djibouti for support and refueling. It would also gave them prestige and respect from potential rivals. Unfortunately, the PLA, Navy is risk-averse, And probably doesn’t want to risk losing face.Yet another opportunity wasted.

This video is a made-in-USA propaganda narrated by an imposter recruited for his special ability to fake a Chinese voice. Its specious message is commercial ship building is necessary to sustain military ship building. Its logic: skill, technology, manpower, and experience can be transferred from commercial ship building to military ship building. Truth be told, this is a two way sea lane. The narrator’s propaganda is China’s huge commercial ship building industry has enable China to build military ships. Why not the reverse is true as well? His argument is bogus. USA has next to zero commercial ship building industry- only a military ship building after 1950 if merchant marine ships are classified as military ships. Nevertheless, there’s no reason US military ship building capability cannot be switched to building commercial ships. Well before China received contracts to build supersized commercial ships,the Chinese shipyards built modest military ships, not because lack of capability but limited military budget.
