Lorenzo, Matteo and Salvatore are all very popular names here in Italy! I've actually dated THREE Matteos back to back - just to show you how popular it is, in particular for 90s kids
I heard a new name today of a young girl and tbh I don’t know how she spells it but it’s -catlyn. not caitlyn or kaitlyn- it’s “cat- lyn” and at first I thought it was interesting but it’s actually pretty cute and her nickname is cat ... it’s unique and she was a sweet little unique girl

I love the name Gideon I named a character in one of my last book as the main male character! Would definitely name one of my sons this if my husband would let me lol
Love the name Dorian, like the picture of Dorian Grey, just listed it in my own comment of more names. Also, Tristian could be an elegant name like Tristian in Legends of the Fall.

The names Caspian and Gideon have been on my list for so long! They are such gorgeous names. I am VERY picky when it comes to boy names I like, they tend to be more difficult for me to choose.
My 12 year old brother’s name is Balthazar. He gets so much compliment on his name. I love it as well and would have loved to call my son that name if I could :)
It used to be very common for siblings to name their children after one another in the states. It can make tracing the family tree difficult, but I think its sweet.
We are French speaking from Belgium. His nicknames were Zouz, Zouzi or Zouzinet when he was a baby, now his friends call him Balth, Baltha or Baltho :) but we call him Balthazar 🥰

I’m expecting a boy in two weeks. I think we’re going with Sebastian because we haven’t found a name we like better. The Baby Name Wizard lists Nathaniel (son #1) and Amelia/Juliana (daughter is Ameliana) as siblings so at least statistically Sebastian goes well with the other kids’ names 😂
My grandfather’s name was Laurent and I think is a bit underrated (at least in the U.S.) but just as romantic! And it gives you those sounds similar to Lawrence, a tad vintage and whimsical I think! 😊
Fascinating how much the connotation of names varies - here in Germany, Sebastian is basically just the most bland, dad-type of name ever. Nobody would call it romantic here, but i do see it - if i take a huuuge step back and ignore knowing the name haha😅

I had a friend name Joelle ☺️ and we called her Jo. That works for all the Jo names like some one else mentioned (Jolene, Joanna, Joan, Josie, Josephine)
I love Heathcliff. One of my favorite teddy bears is named Heathcliff. I'm a hard core teddy bear collector, and they all have cool names because that's one of my favorite parts of collecting. I hope it's okay to say that here.

EMERSON! So many of these names were already on my list! haha Just found out we were having a boy and we struggled agreeing on a name for our first boy so trying to grow that list haha so thank you SJ!
Emerson is gorgeous, Immediately makes me think of the Emersons from A Room With A View, particularly Mr Emerson who was all about vitality, true love and the truth.
Evander is at the top of my list 😊 Not sure why it isn’t more popular. I know it’s associated with Evander Holyfield, but I don’t think that’s a negative so 🤷♀️
Salvator is actually a big family name with my extended family. My uncle is names Salvatore along with several of my cousins.They also all go as Salvo for short.
Caspian is top of my list at the moment! I’m due in Feb and we don’t know what we are having yet but I would love to have a little Caspian, Casper for short

I went to school with a Sterling... personally I don't feel nn are needed. Everyone just called him Sterling. Use it if you love it and want to say it all the time lol

I have an Italian cousin named Lorenzo, I also really love the names Matteo and Beckett. Other long elegant boy names could be Remington, Montgomery, Jefferson, Princeton, Cameron, Desmond, Harrison, Holden, Dorian as well as Cornell which is the full name of the American rapper Nelly.
When I was pregnant we didn’t know what we were having and had Gideon picked for our boy name. We ended up having a girl but we still plan to name our first son Gideon someday.

“Soft G” names for boys are divisive generally.. Gary, Gavin, Gilbert, Gus, Gordon, Glen. Acceptability seems to increase with adding an R, Grant, Grayson, Gregory, Grady, Griffin. And hard G is also preferred, George, Geoffrey etc
I love the name Emerson! It has been on my list for a while. I think that it does have a slightly more feminine vibe, but I think it is a nice amount for a sweet boy.
Hey SJ!! I absolutely love you and your videos!! I really like Camry as a name maybe spelled like Kamri or Kamree, but it's a type of Toyota so I would feel weird using it. But it made me want to ask you what car makes or models would you consider as a name if they didn't have that association? I think that would be a fun list to see!!
I'm in love with Evander and Cassian! Cassian reminded me of the name Scipio I saw in a German children's novel, it means "stick" in Latin but was also the name of an influencial family in Ancient Rome :D

Omg this is my third comment 😂 but this list has my heart, we have been calling our baby due Feb baby Bee 🐝 as baby’s last name will start with B and now to hear that Beckett means bee cottage it just sounds perfect and might be the perfect way for me to get it past hubby 🤞🏼 What do we think of either Caspian or Beckett?
I generally always preferred shorter names for boys, but one of my favourites for a few years now has been the name Calloway. It flows so nicely and is easily pronounceable 😌
Ive had Benedict on my list! But we have a few friends named Ben, and friends with babies named Ben, so Ive pushed it down this list because I dont want it shortened to Ben. Any thoughts on other nn's?

Salvatore is the surname of the main characters in Vampire Diaries. Could never use it as I’m a massive fan of the show but that’s definitely not my vibe! Love the name Gideon and matteo
Isn't that funny how your taste in names changes when you get pregnant?! Matteo was the first name I thought of for this theme! It has a personal meaning for me too. I like Edison more than Emerson. I like Amos too. In the US it's pronounced more like a-miss (rhymes with famous)
