A bit more proof that the Sad, Unnecessary and Unfortunate Civil War was Not over Slavery but States Rights and very possibly over another matter that's been kept quiet about and only known to the few at the top of the Leadership of both sides beyond the Military but those who Financed and Orchestrated the events that led to it and All those that followed it and continues to this day which is one if not the Most Important Secret since the building of the Great Pyramids allover the World not just those known of and their actual function and purpose.

US Veterans from WW2 traveled to Europe to meet and talk about the hardships of their war against various enemies. Same with Japan, Vietnam. Men don't hold onto animosity. Why did we allow evil forces of hate to take away the post war camaraderie between Rebel and Yankee soldier? We know why, but being southerners we have the manners to leave it be.

Not my experience.. My grandfather was born in S.C. in 1900..Anyone who ever said the word yankee was told no such word-- its damn yankee.. His grandfather owed 250 acres of land (inherited from his ggg grandfather who came who to S.C. in1752).. His youngest brother wounded at ae18 at Gettysburg-- Mead Lincoln refused to accept wounded as POW (Sherman position was it was crazy to trade 1 condeferate for 1 union soldier as any confederate was worth 10 times more). His brothers lasted six weeks before dying(no medical treatment until the wounded reached hospital l in Richmond. By federal ceneus ha of farm animals are dead or stolen.. 1866 you know reconstruction brought 1000% increase in property taxes--enforced collection by union troops- so 150 areas lost in taxes-- he was murdered later that year.. His other brother returned to find most infracture `destroyed-- his land being taken by taxes he killed his family with an axe , burned everything on his land that would burn then killed himself. Their bother inlaws killed at Pittsburg Landing.. Their great great great uncle KIA at age 72 in The Wilderness.. Two ricest states in the Union in 1860 S.C ( gold mines, largest exporter of rice in the world, lumber including cypress, naval store- turpinetime spars rope dies as well as of course cotton and tobacco.. Funny longest producing gold mine is in S.C.-- you wreally think those boys in blue just dying to liberate slaves--very happy to liberate the Sioux Blackfoot Crow etc after doing such generous service.. and Mississippi somehow became poorest-- MS still poorest.. Probable forgot to mention in your history texts south was individed into miltary districts run by generals all of which because millionaires.. @@rickeargle Thank you for speaking up. You are telling the truth. I've heard similar stories from southern gents I was in the service with, many telling these truths via generations of family that experienced this. Most people ( generations ) couldn't give a damn. Still poking at the south as traitors. What's crazy is they're too stupid to know better. And what adds to that stupidness they show , is that the USA was formed on the very basis the Southern states iterated was the same rights they had. Only the Southern states had the law(s) written in our constitution that gave them the very rights to secede .The USA was formed on rebellion & seceding ,and for that matter, traitorous actions that would get any American shot or hung, if the British got their hands on them. They rose up against their covering, ruling body, the King & Queen, aka , Great Britain. This was a country that was ruled under British law, British courts, British troops had bases here (forts) they protected the common people & helped enforce British law(s). I could go on, and on. The "founding" fathers , who wrote our Constitution , included in that paperwork, a law , that pertained to any state had the right to withdraw or leave the formed Union if they were not treated justly, fairly, or were not satisfied by the Constitution, etc. ; as they knew from their experience the lateral affordability needed to keep from being oppressed. It's a great misdeed , sad, what the Southern states had to endure. This war could have been avoided. But the greedy people in the North ( and that includes Lincoln) would not have any of the Southern States seceding. The northerners were going to reap the benefits ; one way or the other. They were already raping the south unfairly, unjustly, of its resources, lining their pockets. The Southern states was going to enrich them , one way or another. I stated earlier, Lincoln & his cronies feared if the southern states succeeded with their seceding, that they would go after the open lands to the west, and claim those lands as part of their territory . Lincoln & his cronies weren't going to let that happen. The carpetbaggers, the greedy, the criminals, the scum of the north came south after the war was over, and plundered all they could get their hands. The government doesn't print this in their history books. They tell and fabricate lies.....all lies......and the generations ...all since the turn of the 20th century mostly; believe these lies, and pass those untruths to their children , and grandchildren, and great grandchildren, etc. Now to make things worse, they want to tear down , destroy everything , anything that relates to the South....They want to obliterate any infrastructure related to that war & the southerners. Shame on them ! Shame on anybody , organization, that wants to bury the truths of history.

Jeykle Island in Georgia is where the Rockerfellers and others began the NWO AKA; the antichrist. These are the final days Jesus spoke of in Matthew 24 and the prophet Daniel spoke of. I have personally been studying Eschatology since 1983. Over 80% of biblical prophecy has already come to pass and the horses of the Apocalypse will soon be running strong in the 7yr tribulation that Gabriel spoke to the prophet Daniel which is 100% accurate. The true history is already known......confederacy = slavery.......14 minute video, black soliders accounted for just the first 1.30 seconds.....The second black soldier said he did everything they told him to do, the third is an uncle tom saying he would have been a beast in africa and whites made him human by bringing his race to america, peak uncle tom-ism......over 99% of black southern men did not step foot on the battlefield....the few black confederate soldiers were mostly ignorant slaves, serving non battle roles, cleaning and cooking, tending to horses, only allowed to pick up arms at the very end of the war when the confederacy got desperate......and how were they rewarded for their service? by jim crow. The civil war was because the south wanted to protect slavery and preserve white supremacy, all the founding documents confirm this, all the compromises, commissioners, conventions confirm it was slavery. the confederate president, vice president, senators, governors, congressmen, state legislators, mayors, generals, supreme court justices, former presidents, in hundreds of thousands of words...enough to replace the new testament....more proof than of God's existence, confirmed it was slavery, they called the south "Slave holding states" or "Slave states".....and the north "Non-slaveholding states" or "free states" thousands of times.....all the senate farewell speeches confirm this fact. It's a tough pill for conservatives and gun-nuts to swallow and accept that america's biggest armed rebellion against the government was for a bad cause....this delusion is 10x worse and more divisive than the "gender dysphoria" they complain about daily....pathetic.

The first time I saw and heard HK Edgerton I bawled my eyes out. Sometimes I play my female card. Though I was only 8 yrs old thus didn't understand our connection I met descendents of people enslaved to my great great grandfather. There was love and kindness in their eyes. Through family connections maintained since before their freedom, they knew me. Those two ladies were beautiful people, living just down the street from three of my great aunts. I regret I wasn't old enough to understand who they were. Fifty yrs later in TX Slave Narratives I found a story of their forebear's journey from GA to Waco to live in houses nearby our family's new ranch HQ. GA was a nightmare in the post war era. An old man told the story of their rushed trip to TX when he was a little boy. They avoided towns, cold camped most nights and arrived with all the group intact in the Conestoga wagons they built from materials obtained by tearing down a barn. They were worried their wagons and provisions would be stolen - but made it without incident.

A lot of people couldn’t read & really were to busy for politics so they let the leaders take them to war. However when they were called they responded. God Bless them all North & South, we are all one people whether you like it or not

@@BirdDogg I don't believe these guys were really Confederate soldiers, at least not in the officially enlisted sense. I think they were slaves taken to the war by their masters, they served loyally and provided vital support services to the enlisted soldiers and shared their hardships, and possibly got caught up in the fighting occasionally. Overtime a sense of camaraderie may have developed between them and the white soldiers, so in old age they were genuinely welcomed by Confederate veterans at the reunions.

@@HardscrabbleBlake1968 That’s the grey area of war, and what the channel focuses on largely with this series. They were accepted during the war or they wouldn’t have been there amongst the troops to begin with. Spies, traitors and deserters were a constant concern and so certainly only the most trusted men would have been brought along in the slave/owner dynamic. They were literally and figuratively their owners bodyguards, in camp, on the field, and if the soldier perished they would escort the body home., the epitome of loyalty. With that said while certainly not common, there were several instances of free, black men who were property and business owners in the south, who joined up and ultimately fought in the fray, additionally, there were several masters, who freed their slaves before they left for war, only to have the slaves follow them into combat. Each man finds his own way in life I suppose. I know we like to think we have progressed as a society, but seeing the way, all of these men interact versus the way, modern society, interacts with each other, leaves me with doubts.

This was way before we had to be politically correct. Way before the millennials who are afraid of a Confederate flag or a statue of Robert E Lee. These things are history and should be honored. Those who forget history be it good or bad are doomed to repeat it. These were good brave men. Also I agree with the other comments talking about how we are slaves. We all work everyday we all pay taxes and the majority of us live paycheck to paycheck. I feel like a slave.

Millennials? Union veterans in 1889 were already against CSA monuments. Nothing about Robert E. Lee should be honored. He was a cruel slave owner and led thousands of men to their deaths.

The battle flags and confederate hero statues were financed and erected long after the war in order to re-state or reaffirm the slave-holding values of the antebellum south. The Klan ran amok, rights were denied. Re the Civil War and it's cause: THE HISTORY AND HUMAN BEINGS WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN, COME AND GO AS THE ARTIFACTS MAY. THE DENIAL WILL NEVER BE IGNORED.

You work and the government taxes those hard earned dollars. Then the money you have left, you spend on things for your life, and the government taxes that money once agin, and finally, if you I merit anything, the government wants a third tax (or more) on what's been paid & taxed already over & over again. Yeah, we're "free" alright; in the "sense" of the word. They've come along way over the centuries to use a more modern "under the surface "( so to say); keeping us "enslaved" to the system.....

They were "body servants", blacks were not allowed to enlist in the Confederate Army. They followed their masters into the army and did what they were told. They often served as cooks, teamsters and worked in the field hospitals. Some were given weapons and fought in battles. Sometimes they were given their freedom during the war and chose to stay with their master. If their master died, they would escort his body home.

I'd say you're obviously not very well educated...oh. I realize you're educated ; under the government system ......or just via "hear-say". Not competent enough to truly understand. The democrat lies have held you down. Hitler & Joseph Goebbels learned the American propaganda tricks so well themselves; they used it on the German people, Tell the lie(s) long enough, and the people will believe you. American ads, advertising , political elections ( where you get all that junk mail flooded upon you ) and the billboards , and sign in yards, the commercials on media types....it's all a form of propaganda. They "get" you. Now if the truth(s) were established & put out.....what would happen to those people? They'd respond the same way you have. The democrat ,liberal, leftist machine is powerful. They truly work their propaganda very well
