For all those confused about this game, this version of ratchet and clank is a remake of the Playstation 2 classic version where they decided to make a movie and video game of this version at the same time where they released the video game first.
@@rikaputridewi this version of ratchet and clank is both a remake of the Playstation 2 version and a movie. Both of them are the same thing, they just released the game first before the movie
For all you Ratchet and Clank fans out there, Captain Quark is sadly no longer voiced by his original voice actor, Jim Ward due to Ward having Alzheimer's disease and severe case of COVID 19 (which he probably already recovered from). Sadly, this film and the Ratchet and Clank remake game were Jim Ward's final role for Captain Quark but we will never forget his great performance for Quark. His replacement did do a great job in Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart though.
I actually did like the Ratchet and Clank movie also I thought it was a good call on the Directors half for getting James Arnold Taylor and David Kaye to Reprise their roles as Ratchet and Clank as seriously no one else could do the voice which is ironic since Ratchet was voiced by Mikey Kelly in the first game
I remember seeing this movie back in 2016, I haven't played the games, but I did have a good understanding of the series, and I legit had a good time with this movie.
I think the movie is decent as well, it's not a good movie but it's not bad either and I do like the message, "you don't have to do big things to be a hero, just the right things".
I sort of liked this movie. I didn't play the 2016 R&C game. But I did play the original PS2 trilogy. I know that most Ratchet and Clank fans strongly dislike this movie but I thought it was alright. I mean, sure, I wouldn't say that it's perfect or anything. But I'll pretty much watch anything related to R&C. I did like this scene, though. My main complaint is that I wish they kept Ratchet's old personality and didn't make the movie 99% about Captain Qwark. We barley saw Clank. Or any interaction between the Lombax and robot. Anyway, the animation is very good. Even if most of it is just cutscenes from the game. I doubt we'll ever get another movie of R&C again, though. Since, this movie was a failure. And sadly, we'll never get to see the Sly Cooper movie because of it...
Good news is that they made the decision to continue the mainline series; Rift Apart takes place after Into The Nexus, even though fans had to wait for two next-gens consoles later.
@@YTSirBlack It sound like you are saying that Dr. Nefarious was always a robot from the beginning. And while it is true that his first video game appearance has him as a robot, we learn later on that he was once (As he would say) a fleshly before an accident (thanks to Quark) made him entirely a robot.
Well yeah. They were planning on a whole ps movie company. After this they wanted to do a sly cooper movie and then Nathan drake (which is actually happening now).
Just graphically. Ratchet is still skinny and he used to be full of himself before the reboot and now he makes feminine expressions with his hands and suddenly have social anxiety when it was never a thing. About Ratchet appearance, the devs prioritize on making Rivet "buff" over Ratchet and nearly all the epic cinematics are dedicated towards Rivet, a character that contributes nothing to the main story and can do everything that Ratchet does.
I will say that Dr. Nefarious is a really good villain though it's weird seeing him in his organic self in the movie and 2016 game compared to his Iconic Robotic self.
I am 13 years old but when I was 9 I watched this movie and loved it Note back, then I did not even know what Ratchet and clank was but I really liked this movie Which makes me think think that this would still make a good movie if it were not tied to Ratchet I have now heard the story of Ratchet and clank 1 and loved it so it stains the legacy this movie had for me but I still love it It is a good movie Just not a good Ratchet movie
Maybe that kinda weird he's not villain because he wanted be cooler way i didn't know you see how are these all fans who like that captain qwark if is he always wanted.
I feel like they could rrally make a good movie series on this. Maybe even mixing the new characters from the movie with the old characters from the games. I think that would be awsome.
Still a good one though. Giving the classic gag a new form to be used. Last one I remember closely was from Harley Quinn's boxing glove gun from Batman: TAS. But I can't recall anything more recent.
In school , I belive Qwark was not bad, but a very idiotic (not silly) that saw Nerfarious as villain and him as hero. "I defeated you in school, Nefatious." It's show that. Now the good is he is very silly.
Real quick this is probably too late to ask but WTF BROOOOO THERE'S A MOVIE ABOUT THIS WHY NO ONE TOLL ME I EVEN PLAY THE VERY FIRST GAME WHEN IT CAME OUT
If this stuff actually existed life would be 10x more amazing also I am predicting a Rift Apart movie is very possible among the release of the game too bad we don't need Galactic Rangers in real life. Any how the graphics in the movie are amazing and no homo I think Ratchet looks cute as fuck and I never use those words he's basically like a kid with his action figures and trading cards hell I noticed some childish characteristics Ratchet has as well ummmm yeah don't get offended please thanks!
That's because after a few script re-writes by Hollywood, everyone working on the game decided 'F*ck it, Qwark's telling the story to cover the differences'.
