And so ends the trilogy... When Penny goes back to Dreadlocked, she’s gonna get some tonal whiplash with the old R&C style of comedy (especially w/ the referenced fate of Nefarious) which will be kind of funny. The newer games are still funny but they don’t have the type of humor that the old ones did, where it felt much more laz.
I know she's skipping it for now, and it's totally understandable with how many games she's trying to get through, but I do hope she goes back for deadlocked someday. it's the only side game insomniac made themselves, and wasn't even considered a spinoff at the time
@@InternetsDadGaming The fact that deadlocked so frequently gets pushed aside as just a spin off angers me to no end. Although in Penny's defense, she doesn't have a good way of playing it since the ps3 port is garbage and the ps3 she has cannot play the ps2 RAC games (not counting the ports).
It's funny thinking how Penny played A Crack in Time as a kid, and I played Going Commando as a kid, and then I remember that Penny is younger than me, and then I cry bitter tears.
You managed it without, but let me tell you, the Quack-O-Ray is an incredibly good weapon for taking on the Quarktastic Challenge. It alone among all the weapons doesn't run out of ammo.
loved seeing you go though this game! this was the one in the series i grew up playing so it was such a nice time seeing someone play though it for the first time. really needed some laughs lately and this series brought it. thank you for going though and making wonderful streams with this series!
Missed Skin opurtunities - Ratchet Tutu (to match the Qwark one), Chauffeur Ratchet (the model was already there), Q-Force Tights (Qwark calls you out over the intercom the uniform should have been an option)
Garunteed you'd have missed the shield charger if you had gotten it earlier than the final boss in Going Commando. That thing is absurdly overpowered on terms of defense. It literally makes you completely and utterly invulnerable while it's active and they haven't brought it back since Up Your Arsenal. Me and my mom always thought that the holoshield glove was kind of shit when we played it together when I was younger specifically because we had the shield charger
Allll riiiiight, next game is Tools of Destruction. Tools of Destruction isn't really the *best* game in the series (it's good, but Crack in Time is probably better and Up Your Arsenal is probably better than that), but it was the game that introduced me to the franchise and it's always been my comfort game. I've beaten it like... a completely unironic estimate would be fifty times. I've thought to myself MANY times that if I ever got into speedrunning, it'd be speedrunning for Tools of Destruction, because I already know that game like the back of my hand and I want to learn even more about it, and the only other games I'm into ***that*** much aren't really good for speedrunning.
the one chatter calling aridia "the worst multiplayer map" legit made me see red for a second it is one of the best that they made, you could do so much nonsense on that map, god i spent hours playing on that one with my siblings
So I don't know if you'll have motion controls on when you play Tools of Destruction, but it contains a weapon that is by far my favorite Sixaxis implementation ever alongside at least 4 implementations that I can think of that are standard quality, which is to say pointless at best. The weapon is an area of effect that you steer with the Sixaxis while still moving and using whatever other weapon you want. The low precision is acceptable because it's basically a third analog stick while the other two are already in use, unlike all other uses of Sixaxis where there's no reason that it couldn't just use an analog stick and would be better if it did.
Yeah, that weapon is way better than it has any right to be. When I was a kid, I kinda hated that weapon because I found it difficult to control it while still doing other things, and once I got old enough to realize how it was kinda gimmicky, I brushed it off as just "a lame gimmick weapon".... but as an adult I find it actually one of the most fun weapons in the game, it's incredibly powerful and it's a fun challenge to juggle controlling it with controlling Ratchet at the same time.
No, she has stated she’s only doing the mainline games to have a good chance to be caught up for the new game releasing next month I believe. Size matters is not a mainline game, hell, wasn’t even made by insomniac themselves
You probably heard it regardless but you talking loudly over the game when characters talk is a little upsetting. I've seen you up to this point talk and actually miss stuff, to the point where you had to rewatch stuff.
