I personally prefer the ones that come in the JUMP and JMPS sets, as that dragon knows more about beauty than any other art for Blue Eyes White Dragon. Kinda makes the one he rates so high look like a 7/10 ngl.
@@Merilirem while the dragon looks small it still is meant to make blue eyes look really imposing because it's this massive monstrous thing on top of the building maybe it should of been used for some sort of spell card or such instead but I'm ngl the only other blue eyes art I like is the 1st one personally
Nah for me it was a joke. The first one is the worst, the one he gave 3/10 is the best of the old ones, only one I can agree is the retro pack one (5000/10)
Imagine fusing 3 3000 atk monsters and instead of a 9000 atk super dragon you just get the same dragon again except with extra heads and only a 50% atk boost
It's also a shit card. -3 card economy (+1 for the fusion monster, -4 for polymerization and the materials) for a single beater with zero protection effects. You're better off with the three 3k attackers.
The DSOD art is the best imo. Blue eyes is magnificent and the colour is correct! Furthermore the attention is on blue-eyes as the background isn't too flashy but still calm
To be clear, this is more about rating the photo shoot than the dragon. That being said, I definitely see how you came all these conclusions. Especially with the 3 headed dragon. I don't know if I would say too much of a good thing, but I would definitely say that it's too busy while being too bland. All the colors are the same tones, so they just blend in together and nothing stands out. Also with the dragon perched on the building with the Crescent moon in the back! Everything draws to the dragon and the dragon is outstanding! And we're getting all of her! We're getting all of her wings and tail! Best gurl!
Funny you mention that. You should see the Bandai prints of blue eyes and it’s ultimate form and the card you needed to use it. There used to be chains.
Don't stop at just the reguler Blue-eyes. How About Alternative dragon? spirit dragon of white (the name shenanigans still confuse me to this day), Blue-eyes spirit dragon, Blue eyes twin dragon. Kaibaman that one is just Kaiba
No, it's an Eyes of Blue. They're two separate but related archetypes. They're worded differently specifically so Eyes of Blue cards can't be searched for effects that specify Blue-Eyes and vice versa.
@@OtakuUnitedStudio …. I was referring to how Maiden with eyes of blue is Kaiba’s Egyptian ancestors dead girlfriend, who literally contains the soul of blue eyes white dragon. So confident, yet so wrong You’ll also notice that Eyes of blue is a series, and not an archetype.
You're conflating lore from the manga and anime with that of the TCG. Kisara and Maiden with Eyes of Blue are two different characters from two different continuities and function differently.
@@OtakuUnitedStudioyou fought hard, we respect that. We'll respect you even more if you manage to muster up the courage to admit how wrong you were. ;)
The last blue eyes ultimate dragon really peaked my interest, it's messy, it's chaotic, you don't know where to look, but that's why it's so good! It shows that shit's about to go down
As a Blue-Eyes main, I greatly appreciate this. You should look into more of the Blue-Eyes archetype, some of the newer cards are awesome (Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon, Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon) and some are just insane (Blue-Eyes Jet Dragon). That's not even getting into some of their supports, like King of D. (Lord of D. but with a three-necked Blue-Eyes guitar) and Bingo Machine, GO!! (a lottery machine based on Blue-Eyes Ultimate). Plus there are some more new artworks just for the OG itself.
@@Chaos-Clipsyeah long story short, in the anime it turns out duel monsters originated from ancient egyptians placing actual monster souls in stone tablets (said souls were essentially part of the human soul). kaiba (the guy who uses blue eyes) is the reincarnation of an ancient egyptian royal (who was also he pharaoh's cousin). He rescued a girl with blue eyes and white hair who could manifest the monster part of her soul physically, which was blue eyes. They start getting feelings, but egypt kaiba's dad bonded her monster soul to a tablet, which effectively killed her human body, but her soul lives on as the dragon. This is why kaiba is so attached to blue eyes and refuses to let anyone but himself have copies of it (he didn't know this though, it's an instinctual thing)
@@farkasmactavish yes. The one I have is a counterfeit card called "Endless Dragon with Blue Eyes." They're the same thing except mines, you know, counterfeit
Blue-Eyes Ultimate saw play in pure Tenyi decks because if the counter trap gets popped while set, it lets you summon a non-effect monster from the extra deck, and Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon's 4500atk fits the bill
Now you just need to do Twin Burst Dragon, Alternative, Solid dragon, Spirit Dragon, Chaos Dragon, Chaos MAX Dragon, Abyss Dragon, Jet Dragon, Toon Dragon, Malefic, Neo Ultimate, Ultimate Alternative, and Tyrant Dragon. The Blue-eyes being implied, of course
ok, but where's my love for the Kaiba structure deck version of the 3/10, that build up of energy in its mouth looks sick asf. same with the DSOD art, everything you said about the first one, but better (if you think I'm wrong, fight me). the shonen jump ones where they thought "hmm, yes, we need to put her in lighting that makes the Blue Eyes WHITE Dragon look dark grey" or the 2022 one in tin of the Pharaoh Gods where it stole toon dragons aesthetic.
If he ever does another one of these I recommend blue eyes abyss dragon, simply because of that one amazing shitpost: I summon blue eyes abyss dragon in attack position I have sex with it I end my turn
The rooftop one is great because it says something more about the Blue Eyes White Dragon than the other cards. You get a look at where you might actually see one of these majestic beasts. The others are all just drawn in a void, they don't feel like they could exist anywhere in the world.
100% agree on the first ever artwork. I'm still trying to get my hands on 2 more of these cause i have a first edition starter decl kaiba from wayyyyyyyyyyy back when i was still in elementary school and its still in pretty decent condition. I have so many other blue eyes artworks already which are fine but nothing beats the og art imo
I feel like part of the reason the tablet one doesn't work is that the tablet creates an unintentional sense of scale, making the dragon feel weirdly small by comparison. By contrast, the one with the moon has the best sense of scale, using the steeple that it's perched on to convey exactly how big this monster is.
Has been my fav card to this day for not only being a beautiful dragon as I love dragons, but also because while playing the random kid quarter games for cars I got hella lucky and got my hands on a Blue White Dragon card and it is the only cards I own in my collection binder that is not a Pokémon as I never learn on how to play the card game, but love the anime
The thing about the ultimate that bothers me is how two out of the three heads have this very streamlined look to them and then the last has this weird curve like someone poked its soft spot
Ok I have bee playing yugioh for years and have watch the anime twice through and I just now noticed that you can see the beginning of the middle heads neck on blue-eyes ultimate dragon
