Fun Fact: Finland's Morse Code alarm means "CQ". CQ means "calling all stations" in morse code. So Finland's morse code EAS means all stations, as in everyone to be alert
Let me actually explain the actual God; Has no twin Has no cousin Has no brother, mom or a dad Has no son (Jesus Christ is actually not the son of God) Has no family members Has no animals Has nothing except the beauty God created and power
Well the ringotne is more adapted for a « there is a creepy little girl whic is actually a demon and who can transform into your deepest fears so she can eat your soul after she hurt you as much as possible and killed you in the most painful way » alert
Norway: “We’re gonna die, let’s listen to cave sounds before we do!” Japan: “We will listen to an ice cream truck theme.” Denmark: “**sings** ALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALA that’s our EAS alarm.” Germany: “WE ARE GOD SO LETS PUT A BOSS BATTLE THEME FOR OUR EAS ALARM!” Malaysia: “**plays ear rape of American EAS alarm**”
Fun fact! Most of these alarms are designed to cause fear and anxiety, that way you’ll listen to advice and get your butt in gear. Japan is unique though! Their’s is to encourage people to remain calm, because with earthquakes and tsunamis, you have maybe a minute if you’re LUCKY. So in order to keep people from dying in a panic, they are to remain calm and orderly
The Japanese tsunami alarm sounds the same as the Malaysia example in this video. Most Japanese buildings can resist earthquakes, so they don't want people to panic, but a tsunami is "oh shit get out now" time.
Yeah, I think it's just a good idea to teach kids what it means and not just let them panic while loud sounds are blaring and expect them to know what to do. I'm autistic so a less jarring and loud sound would be nicer and easier for me to manage.
Comment on the top of the comment section right now slowly saying that the Japan is an alarm sounds like that to literally make people calm down so that they aren’t panicked comment by:reallyhanko (hope I spelled there users name right)
Fun fact: The 3 "beeps" at the beginning of the USA alarm are actually bursts of data, meant to be used by weather radios so they can display the alert on their display. The 3 quick ones at the end are just an "end of transmission" flag. This tells the weather radios to switch back off. Also The long tone after the 3 bursts of data at the beginning is actually different depending on the emergencey, this is so people listening can quickly identify what the emergencey is without actually having to listen to the message. (Assuming they already know what the different tones mean of course)
I remember being a kid and falling asleep with the TV on and being woken up at 3am to the test run EAS and my adrenaline spiking. Ahh, fond childhood memories. 😂
I hate the Chinese one cause it sounds very urgent and surreal Like someone who speaks a language I don’t understand is calmly saying something whilst being slaughtered
I think I remember hearing that Japan has some pretty bad earthquakes so it’s scary that it has such a calm alarm, but idk if they have different alarms for different thing.
The saudi one is super scary btw after that funny sound comes a deep voice saying go wear a gas mask and then a siren the exact one for greece but high pitched goes on for 1 hour at least when the threat is over
@@scratchette2803 I watched but can't remember much,it just says to try and find cover, get supplies before hiding, pretty sure it had a line saying 'Water =life. Don't waste it.' And just telling you to keep watching so you know what to do
No one: Japan: *"Hey everyone! We just wanted to let you know we're being nuked by America again! You can go back to sleep, but it may be the last time doing so. Anyways, have a nice night!"
I have been in the emergency alert system community for years under different names, that japan one, was their early earthquake warning system. They have another alert system called J-Alert which is basically the gates of hell opening.
@@fishexploits5264 I was visiting Japan durimg the missile scare and that woke me the hell up. I had to get my friend (translator) to explain the TV. Spent an hour in a nearby bunker but everything was 👌.
I will never forget. My first day of college was a stressful day moving into the dorms, and when I finally got to sleep at the end of the day, I was woken up by an amber alert in the middle of the night which woke me up in a cold sweat and a immenent sense of fear.
When I went to the USA, I also remember that in the first week the amber alert sounded full volume in my phone…at midnight. I jumped out of the bed cause amber alerts in my place are people making posts in Facebook or the local tv news.
Germany: welp I guess if it’s our last moments we might as well party. (Also why does Germany’s Eas sound like a certain part of harder, better, faster, stornger by daft punk?)
China's is interesting. I think its a countdown from 60, by double digits, and then a count down from 10 by single digits. I probably would prefer to know when the impact of an earthquake is coming and how much time I have to do what I need to do. Still spooky tho.
i love it how people are like "OH MY GOD JAPAN IS NOT SCARY HAHAHA!!" but y'all realize you'd be shitting yo self when you hear it during an attack 🧍♀️
The Greece one is scary but I still feel something for the one in the USA because well that is when I am. I am not scared of it much now but it still has a strange feel to it. Is that what it is like in other countries with less threatening EAS?
As a Singaporean our alarm scared the living heck out of me when I first heard it, and if I end up hearing it at 3AM in the morning while sleeping my soul would leave my body
