Just in case you've been curious about the different armor and power armor sets in Fallout 4's creation club, we figured we'd help out by purchasing it, and offering our honest opinions on it.
The reason why Winterized T-51B never breaks down in Fallout 3 is because Bethesda put wrong variant in reward room. All gear in Operation Anchorage has 2 variants: wasteland (normal) and simulation (near undestructible).
I think a better way to implement the fantasy hero set would be to have it spawn at hubris comics and say that it was an old grognak the barbarian prop
It is from Hubris Comics. The guy who steal it from Hubris is an extra working on the Grognak tv series/pilot episode. You find notes and terminal entries about how he gets a little too into character and runs off with the props, which he'd improved from like tin and plastic to proper steel and leather.
It was from Hubris comics, and it was meant for Grognak. It's just that the guy wearing it came to work drunk and locked himself in the bathroom of the bar right next door the day the bombs fell. It still fits pretty well with the lore, and is hilarious.
I think it's nice to note that the GNR Plaza CC contains a tribute to Adam Adamowicz, the former lead artist at Bethesda who tragically died of lung cancer in 2012. More than anyone else he was responsible for the art styles of Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, and Skyrim. He was even working on designs for Fallout 4 when he died. Anyways, within GNR you can find some of his concept art on a wall. Having it within the CC just adds a little bit more to the nostalgia trip, because not only are you seeing a piece of Fallout 3 again, you're seeing a tribute to the man who *_defined_* that game's look.
Ever since I bought the Captain Cosmos mod, the space suit is almost essential every time I play. The no fall damage is a huge plus when exploring, the jump boost makes traversing even easier, it basically turns off rads and it has ballistic weave. AND I THINK IT LOOKS COOL TOO (when it's blue)
Somehow, I'm not surprised that the Minutemen retaking Quincy is from the Creation Club. Also, if the Sentinel doesn't count as a companion, I guess you can have both it and maybe Dogmeat to still have backup, despite taking the Lone Wanderer perk
Useful, but are you really gonna pass on being a mini army of allies? Toss in the flare gun and your companion and you can easily get nearly 10 allies for a fight (or just a little squad)
@@thegingerbreadmaninyouroven I'm talking statistics they are like level 5 with pipe rifles and road leathers a ghoul reaver rips them to shreds it's basic game mechanics
The XO2 Devils Inferno mod wasn’t mentioned but that was a nice touch and that easily adds benefits over any other power armor in the game. Stacking movement speed is pretty cool.
I do like this CC mod, but some of the tesla coils were missing, and they didnt increase energy damage at all like the tesla t60 does. The wiki kind of made it seem like it had the same effect as the Tesla T60, but it doesnt. Its definitely good, just not what i was hoping it would be.
@@bolsahueca The free (non CC mod version) of X02 does increase energy weapon damage btw. I'd download that instead if thats what you were looking for. Thats what I ended up doing. It looks slightly different from the CC, but i almost like it a little better.

Something you missed in the previous video and this one is that the Noir Penthouse comes with multiple weapons and outfits not just the reskinned Nick Valentine trench coat and .44 pistol. Inside the actual Penthouse is a new style of Institute outfit that's like a black tactical version with a snazzy jacket added on and along with it is a new variant of the 10mm pistol that's also black and has glowing red sights. They aren't major or anything but they do look cool and so that add on technically comes with two new outfits and two new weapons along with the settlement stuff and penthouse. EDIT, nobody listen to me I am stupid, I am talking about the Neon Flats CC items not Noir Penthouse so says the Wiki.
@@Theegreygaming okay I am sorry but we are both actually wrong, I just checked the wiki to confirm and the CC items these come with is called Neon Flats not Noir Penthouse. And it's called the Gen 4 10mm pistol not 5. That's my bad.
@@deathdude42 that's an easy mistake to make, I encountered neon flats and noir penthouse during the same gameplay session and thought that both were so similar that it would be difficult for me to differentiate them during the reviews.
Yeah, the Architect's winter jacket from Neon Flats looks awesome and is what I exclusively wore when I used to play on Xbox b4 switching over to PC, only to realize that PC armor mods are just a whole bunch of skimpy female character content. Either that or super modern tacticool armor with plate carriers and shit. I just want some rustic wasteland survivalist gear for male characters. I’ve tried to find some good quality armor mods but to no avail. The ones that are decent, like the Mercenary Pack by L0rd0fWar require AWKCR which I’ve heard is outdated and shouldn’t be used anymore. So idk what to do
@@Theegreygamingwhen I saw the video I was like. "And that's a 10+ hour reinstall of fallout 4 and the dlc" cause almost all of the creation club content breaks the game code in some way. Like how the tunnel snakes dlc breaks the very first mission before you even reach concord. It breaks codsworth perma hardlocking you from every save you make from then on till you reinstall the game.
Thank you for subjecting yourself to this for us. It's very useful to know since Fallout 4's next-gen update might include Creation Club stuff like Skyrim's Anniversary Edition did.
@@hermos3602 You’re not wrong, but technically it does matter since if he hates it he’s most likely not going to spend money on corporate Bethesda greed.
CC Mainly benefits console players since at least on Xbox it gives you the option of saving Mod Space should you want in regards to the X-02 and Hellfire armors.
Just wanna point out that for the Captain Cosmos because no one else is (forgive me if someone already has), there is a second power armor suit (with all the pieces), if you pause the video at 15:04 exactly there is a little walkway that is fallen on the ground and if you can make your way up to that door, it's inside that little room! Also keep up the great work man always wanted to see every CC available but didn't wanna buy everything
The sword spawns as does the Helmet but thx to Bethesda it sometimes spawns before the buildings, i found a fix years ago and uploaded it here. Edit: do to this spawn issue it now lies under the building, my fix also works on consoles because it's a glitch to get around the bug, no mods needed.
Honestly man personally I kinda like the creation club because all the stuff it adds is lore-friendly and some of the stuff in there is actually pretty worth it. Also it means you can (technically) download mods and not lose achievements
I didn't get the Cpt. Cosmos content, but now I know of the jump height bonus, I think that I will. Seems it would prove a potent combination with four armour pieces each increasing movement speed by 10%.
The Fantasy Hero Set sword sometimes spawns UNDER the floor. You need to toggle colison off to look for it in the "underworld" below the map. It usually slides further down a hill of trash ans debrees.
yeah one time it spawned under and i was kinda fucked since i play on console, so for the modder to not even have it spawn correctly is a giant "fuck you" to the MARKET THEY MADE THE CREATION CLUB FOR IN THE FIRST PLACE
@@AmyCherryLMAO I bet the modder set it to spawn too close to the floor and it clips down for some reason. Not an excuse, just a theory of HOW they fucked it up.
More often than not at least one of the items will glitch through the floor (usually the sword). For PC players this is 'fine' (since console commands can overcome it) but for players on console, this is just a kick in the balls. Equal blame goes to the modder and Bethesda for this issue, since the modder should have ensured this wouldn't happen, and Bethesda should have tested it properly before release (since they were already investing into the CC system, the least they can do is make sure the content works..don't get me started on how Tunnel Snakes and Captain Cosmos break the game if installed before leaving Vault 111)
I love the Sentinel Power Armor companion. I gave mine the Liberty Prime voice & dubbed it Liberty Sub-Prime, lol! Only downside is that it uses Dogmeat's AI, so tends to get in your way at the worst possible time. I also have the Minutemen vs Gunners, partially for the paint jobs & partially because the mini-quest is a pretty good tie-in with my usual Minutemen playthroughs, and in fact, it served as a kick-off point for my Rise of the Minutemen series. Only thing I'd do different next time around would be to combine it with a mod that then lets you use Quincy as a settlement (if I can find one that isn't too buggy). The Captain Cosmos one is definitely my favorite quest of the entire Creation Club, and I used the power armor off & on until I got the Minuteman painted t-60 set (I usually pick up Aquagirl early on, so I can take advantage of the many waterways in the Commonwealth for shortcuts & to avoid enemies, which power armor severely hinders, so I don't use it that often). Finally, I also rather like the Capital Wasteland Mercenaires CC, even though it is a bit lacking in terms of the actual quest, but the fact that you can get at least 9 uniquely named settlers (the surviving Good Fighter mercenaries) and all the outfits & Talon Company armor are compatible with Ballistic Weave definitely makes it worthwhile to at least get on sale. Especially since, upon completed the Good Fight quest, there is a decent (I'd say at least 35%) chance that any random settler that shows up at a settlement you have a recruitment beacon in will spawn with one of the Capital Wasteland Merc outfits & a small quantity of Aqua Pura is a nice touch, IMO (plus a way to get additional Fallout 3 outfits on top of the ones you can already find in the GNR building). Also, nearly forgot to add, but you can also upgrade the Captain Cosmo suit with Ballistic Weave as well, so you essentially end up with the radiation resistance of a Hazmat Suit combined with the ballistic & energy resistance of a full set of combat armor, which is kinda OP....
@@vashkuratko21 when you interact with it, there is the option to select personality matrix. the choices are sentry bot(default), Mr. Gutsy, assaultron, and Liberty Prime. Prime is available after completing a miscellaneous quest from reading one of the holotapes
imo the Sentinel Power Armor is one of the best things to get from the CC, purely because its an extra companion with unbreakable power armor that takes a solid minute of beating from like 10 high level ghouls to go down im glad i picked it up when it was on sale for like 50% off
Don't forget that the X02 power armor gives you Tesla coil armor and it's great to hurt any nearby enemies that you haven't shot or killed first, plus if your in water it electrifies any enemy in water (helpful in far harbor) and if you pair it with the Quake lightbolt weapon. Edit: the Captain Cosmos also has a unique modification that's a cowboy hat that makes your reloads quicker
I bought most of these armors and played extensively. Heres a bit if extra commentary: 1. I love the Hellfire power armor. It requires less compensnts to actually fully repair then X0-1 I believe so not only is it statistically better, but its also cheaper. 2. Sentinel is awesome. Its great for a power armor run since you can load it up with a second set of power armor and use it if your current power armor breaks. 3. X0-2 is cool, but costs so much to repair its not worth it to wear every day unless you have tons and tons of materials stocked up. 4. I didn't buy the horse armor. 5. Agree with everything be says about the gunner fight. 6. I don't rmember the GNR one. I'm not sure if I got this one? 7. Chinese stealth was cool. Agree with everything he says. 8. Cosmo armor is very cool, both ths base armor and power armor. The power armor isn't as good as the hellfire so I usually display it rather then use it. Almost all the customizations with this suit actually altar the physical appearance of the armor. It's very cool. The quest was very fun. I really enjoyed it. 9. Prey armor. I didnt play prey so I had no attachment to it. Didnt buy it. 10. The skyrim stuff is cool, but absolutely OP. 11. No Doom armor?
The first time I played the capital waist at on. I thought I would have to do a VR training sim or something just to get the training to fly. I very rarely have this in my load order anymore.
The Sentinel Power armor is awesome if you get the Nexus Mod, Liberty Power Armor. What you can end up with is a mini Liberty Prime following you around and it is awesome. There are even nuke grenades for him to use!
u can get the sentinel armour at the start of ur survival playtrough by doing the bos quests until danse waits outside arcjet and then leading dawson to danse and then u can just grab je password and get it. don’t even need to do the first part near slocums joe
Wouldve been so cool if you could still get into the sentinel armor, like an iron man suit following you around waiting for you to hop in when a deathclaw pops out
The steel sword is probably still there, it just clips under the garbage and stuff in the toilet. If you use the TCL command, you can get it, but the fact that it clips through the ground is.. dumb.. to say the least.
Without CC delayed the X02 creation can cause the door to not open at the start. The tunnel snakes can also break the 1st quest in the game (not sure if delayed helps with this, I'm not wasting money in it on an if). CC has a lot of good stuff added in, Shame so much of it causes problems. Edit: oh look. They actually fixed it.
Okay, I was drinking some water and DID NOT expect to see Littlepip from Fallout Equestria at 8:34, literally jolted and had to make sure I didn’t choke
not entirely sure what the lowkey shade being thrown at Prey was supposed to be. The game sold fairly well, nearly everyone i have ever talked to that played it loved it and if you look up discussion about it, you find nearly unanimous cheers for it with people here on youtube for example calling it "severely underrated", "Arkanes masterpiece" and "Genius".
You could have used the *player.additem **_itemID_* command to spawn in the missing sword and compare its stats for yourself. Every item in the game, whether it's vanilla, a mod, or CC content, has an ID that can be used to spawn it with the command console. You find that ID by using the *help **_itemName_* command.
Doesnt the hellfire quest spanw in enclave remnants wearing hellfire mark 2? I though that was a nice little addition though it may have been some CC content crossover with the xo2 mod or something
I bought the "Gunners vs Minutemen" one and never regretted my purchase... I just wish the mod "We Are The Minutemen" could still actually _use_ the paintjobs included.
I bought the $40 pack on steam that includes all dlcs. I’ve found the X-02 power armor and Tesla cannon when I played though. Are these the basic CC installs that I get for free or is it every single CC?
If I had to choose my favorite armor, I'd have to go with the Chinese stealth armor -- and in saying that, I believe Bethesda can still find ways to improve some of the content in (the) Creation Club, because Lord knows how much the content in it needs some serious fixing & or improvement. For example, they could add the ability to mod the Chinese stealth armor further by adding in five armor slots, one each for the head, the body, the arms and the legs. Each slot can allow us to add in special mods, like fall damage reducers in the legs or an internal database for the head that adds a single point of Intelligence; on top of all that, they could also add in the ability to change the design with faction skins. No doubt that if Bethesda did exactly this for the Chinese stealth armor _specifically,_ I'd make the armor a mainstay in any Brotherhood & Institute build that also relies heavily on stealth.
Dude...i play with A LOT off mod. 800+. I play my game as a survival with no fast travel. The sentinel suit DOES NOT DEGRADE THE ARMOR. It looses lofe but it always stay at the armor level it had when you activate it. There is a mod that let you "deactivate" it. So you can enter it. Its perfect for my game. If i newd rad peotection, or to survivs, i just use the holo tape, disable it, get inside. Do my business. And before it break, i get out, reactivate it. I keep my heavy gun on it. Sp i also save weight. By far one of the best thing in my playthru right now.
I'm probably the only one who likes the vanilla leather armor the best. On top of the green shirt & combat boots with ballistic weave, and let's not forget a magical battered fedora. I'm nearly unkillable unless I fall asleep mid game.
I actually had to remove that one sadly. It broke a few characters, and even wouldn't let me make new ones. For some reason it wouldn't allow the Vault 111 door mechanism to open the door. It also caused weird CTD, and cell issues. The sec I removed the files from the game folder, presto. No more broken doors.
"i dont play on survival so power armor isn't really a necessity for me anyways" is way too true, my most successful survival run mostly relies on cheesing the intelligence to exp points system [full intelligence, intelligence bobble head, vault lab coat, ushanka hat, Idiot Savant perk, three of the Live & Love comics that boost exp gains] to rapidly level up and get what I need in a certain order to survive Sadly I could not put much into endurance, so my character essentially lives inside their power armor
What sucks is I can’t access the creation club at all. It’s greyed out for me and Bethesda is no help. It sucks because for once I would spend money just so I can get the hellfire armor
that's actually a point I make on something completely different that I'm working on a script for... but it fits so well... I'm sure this didn't inspire me at all. :)
