Honestly if we could have kept santi Cazorla fit in the 16/17 season and instead of Xhaka, signed N'Golo Kante, THE CHEAPER OPTION OF THE TWO, maybe kept Mustafi fit instead of his injury mid season, not sold Gabriel, and ctually signed Jamie Vardy that window, (maybe a bit overboard with this last one but Mahrez as the icing on the cake anyone), we'd have probably ended up beating Spurs to a league title that season along with an FA Cup. Just think about it, Chelsea would never gave had their BEST PLAYER THAT season to win them the title, Santi controlling the park alongside an actual defensive midfielder would have led to more of the Ozil from the previous season, plus with a happy Alexis Sanchez, God help the other teams defences. Add to that a striker in Vardy who can actually score consistently and be up there with the league's best strikers, plus Mustafi (before his injury Btw, not after his recovery), that's a seriously strong side. That was Ozil's third season, not his first. And second place wasn't much of an accomplishment considering we were still 10 points adrift of a Leicester team that we beat twice that season. For what it's worth I don't blame Ozil, he was easily our best player for 2015-16. I blame Wenger for not signing a single outfield player. Our midfield crumbled after injuries to Coquelin and Cazorla and Giroud went like 3 months without a league goal.
