That chassis extension up front looks about the size of T Model rails.I'm amazed that you can get it legal on the road. It would be impossible here in Australia.
Hell yeah, cool build. If it were mine I would keep the stacks but either shorten the elbow at the top OR put the flat tops with the rain flapper thingy. Thumb up :)
Bad Ass Truck! To all you confused commenters...Its not a diesel! Regardless of what the title says. That's a gas powered V-8. Probably built by a diesel shop.

I understand some 'men' need to feel validated by revving their engines and making their grunt sounds. I feel validated when I hear my shotgun placing a deer slug through their engine block after waking me at 5am. We all have our crutches. If I hear it, you make it my problem. And some of us vets are crazy enough to handle it our own way. Or just call up a friend and tell them where to find some nice parts. Leaving the frame on cinders. lmao
Now what if you end up shooting at another vet who just happens to have a loud car as ONE of his crutches and he also has a LOT more money than you which means he can spend some of that proverbial "fat cash" on the type of guns that you only use to get to use. Take this scenario for instance: You think your a fucking bad ass, and you pop a slug into the block his PRIDE AND JOY with a hunting rifle MAYBE an AR, and he absolutely LOOSES HIS SHIT and grabs a .50cal M60 and cuts your house in half with the 25 years of ammo he's been stalking up on for the "end times" as his crazy wealthy ass would say. Just saying make sure you Know who your shooting at before you pull a gun on someone, the military don't hand you bazookas anymore.
Knight Mason Admittedly Soldiers are horrificlly under payed but that doesn't mean that all vets are poor... Some started their own company or after they got out found a company that has a strong military background in its employee base ( which is more common than you might think). As a matter of fact I've met a few who were much better off than my family...
Yeah I agree but can't understand why there's so much extension on the frame past the motor/radiator. Just seems a bit weird and doesn't really look that great.
interesting but a few thing i don't like about it,.. 1. too much front end extension ,.. takes it from being a safe driver to a scraper when bouncing , so in effect for me woul kill the point of a large engine since you couldn't really drive it fast safely. 2. too clean ,. too much chrome especially that hood visor on the windshield that looks kind of just stuck on there to be stuck on there needlessly,.. 3. bad tire choices,.. too modern and slick black, better perhaps would have been wide whitewalls of some sort . all and all it is an interesting ride to be sure ,..but it's all the things a rat rod shouldn't be ,.. 4. the modified bits are too clean as well,. i prefer when they take something and kind of steam punk it into functioning as something else , for example using large antique style oil cans to fabricate tail light housings or using and old style houses wind-vane as a hood ornament . p.s. if i was going to " fix it " i would and blast the chrome off the shiny bits,. dig a hole in the ground and put them in it ,pee on em and dig em back up in 30 days ,.. " that by the way is an old antiques dealer trick" get some tires that have raised white letters , then take a small hand disc sander to them as they rotate to manufacture rough wide whitewalls,.also gives them an aged look ,.. paint the rims red instead of having chrome . and lastly either remove that visor completely or take the time to do an entire top of cab chop that angled the top of the roof down,..
Yellow engine makes me think Cat, but it looks like a V8, and I don't believe Cat ever made a V8 diesel that small.. Detroit 2 stroker maybe, but the sound isn't there.. ?
Front axle cartoonishly far out, grill too close in and too low, oversized visor, stacks too tall and angled out instead of back. The overall aesthetic is not pleasing to the eye. Just my humble opinion... Sound is perfect though!
I love rods, but i think this might be the ugliest goddamn fucking truck on youtube, possibly that i've ever seen.. but.. you had a vision,followed through and built it, which is more than most people can say. Hat's off to ya!
ok it could be a diesel GM offered a 350 diesel it was a diesel powerd small block same as the normal 350 differnt carbs it was sold mainly in mexico but a few were in the states so it could be a dieseL PS not all diesels are turbo dnt belive me look it up
