We introduce you to our Fleet of Ratty Muscle Cars, do an engine swap in our 'Cuda to go on the Power Tour, bring you up to speed on Project Jeffrey ('70 Nova), and go for ride in a '70 Mercury Cyclone.
I love American & Aussie muscle cars, but was bored looking at al the pretty ones on Instagram etc, until I came across the rattymusclescar page. I live in Sydney Australia and catch the light rail to work every day scrolling through all of your photos, which makes going to and leaving work a treat. I just love the honesty of what I am looking at. If I win lotto, I'm coming over to meet you and bring one of these beast back to OZ. John Butler got my wife through breast cancer, Your photos get me through the grind of every day life........I wish all the cars that I see sitting in paddocks could be collected and stored until guys like me can afford to get them up and running again. Love your concept! Keep going! The fact you are doing what you love, puts a smile on my face. Undercoat the fender and put your logo on it.
The way I see it, ther's nothing wrong with aspiring to fix it, but that shouldn't mean you don't take it out and enjoy it. The biggest mistake I have made in life was waiting for it to be perfect before I take it out to enjoy it. Right now I'm stuck in a one-room apartment with no place to work on a car and no car to work on. It hurts. I would kill for a ratty 68-70 2-door B-Body that ran. At this point I wouldn't even care if it had a slant-6 in it! I love what you are doing! Keep it up!!
Great show. I have a numbers matching four speed Challenger, I have had for decades. I held off doing a refurbish so I could enjoy it the way I did in the 70's. Drove people crazy that it has rust around the windows, and fenders. Can't stand Johnny come latelies who never get their high end cars out at the hint of rain. Keep it up!
I like this good old boy thank you for your service I like everything you all do God bless you all and family doesn't matter if it's a Ford Chevy Chrysler Dodge AMC Oldsmobile ratty muscle cars are cool bad to the Bone bless you and family keep it going
Love these videos! I have 3 ratty muscle cars. 53 dodge pilot house, 71 firebird, and a 72 nova that was a stock car raced in a nascar invitational back in the early 70s. Love this idea of owning the history. I was going to restore them, but have now decided to just enjoy them for what they are :)
"Hopefully this thing will be greened up and ready to go." Ha! Loved the Gambler patch. Great video. It was nice seeing Austin and Tim happy and wrenching.
I know Moar purists hate traction bars, but I'm thinking about putting a pair on my Dart...who cares? If it makes me happy...all that matters! They look badass!
i have found my people. thanks for making a real car show for real car guys. sending in my pics for consideration now. i want one of those ratty muscle car stickers for my ride.
+Wade Roberts yup... it may be cliche' but since they made a million mustangs in the first two years, you can get a 65-70 for next to nothing. i have several. in the middle of a 67 gt500 clone build right now
I saw the episode of your cuda in the "MT House of Muscle" video and fell in love with your guys feelings on old muscle cars! Keep on keepn on with what you're doing! Keep the videos coming, thanks!!! Pat from Dayton, Ohio
Nice video. My first car was a 69 coronet and I got it when I was 15 500 bucks. My first year was spent sliding sideways in the dirt and grass of our farm. It was more colors than anything you guys are shown so far, but to me it was a shiny super B. For my first day of school i primed it gray so it look presentable. 2nd car, 71 dart, same story. 68 barracuda coupe, same story, lunch money gasket swaps and cheap parts to make it go faster, no paint. Lately I've been messing with trucks more than cars and I finally built my first shiny vehicle, you might recognize it from my Instagram page, mopar1darrell. Right now I have a great ratty muscle truck project. Keep up the good work guys we will probably run into each other someday
Right on. Dope first episode! Love your mission statement. You guys keep it real and take it back to the root of what car culture should be: drive and enjoy whatever you can afford to own! Keep it up and we look forward to seein lots more real world rides!
I love this! The only thing that could be better is the video and audio quality. It's decent, but could be better. Also, I'd keep the fender orange. Like you said, wear your battle scars with pride!
YES!!! Great first episode guys! Super happy to help and be apart of it all. Looking forward to 2016, and ready to blow more Cooper Cobra rubber all to hell! #keepthebitchfloored
LOVED IT!! Like the cars, the video was a bit 'rough' in a few places, but for a first time effort, I think you guys did great! One thing I haven't seen mentioned yet, THE MUSIC!! You guys NAILED it with the music choice. I've been telling everyone I can about this show.
Leave the fender orange it's got good patina and if you primed it or painted it green it would stand out more or look like you tried to hide it. Definetly didn't disappoint me great job keep it up and you'll be the next roadkill!
Hey dude congratulations on the episode, I love the idea of a ratty muscle and you are saving really nice cars, keep up the videos and I wish all the best for your channel and you. And I was waiting so long for this video!
I like this the most awesome idea I've seen in a long time got me thinking about the days of the old 71 Dodge Demon 65 Belvedere and by the way keep the fender Orange
