There's a story about Tim almost leaving the Spurs to join the Orlando Magic after his rookie deal was up. Everyone says that the Magic's head coach at the time, Doc Rivers, fumbled the interview. But Duncan was never going to leave the Spurs, even if he thought he wanted to. Doc said the last thing Tim told him before he got on the plane was, "I'm pretty sure I'm coming to the Magic, but I have to talk to Pop one last time before I leave. I love Pop." And everyone should have known right then that Tim was never going to leave Popovich. And he shouldn't. One of the best coach/superstar combos in all of sports.

You gotta put it into perspective as to how many factors have to come into play for a team to win a championship, but to also win multiple? Some people would just call it luck, but only dickheads will say it's easy. Number of rings is one of the dumbest stats to read off of a paper.
