Damn, it is so good to hear real, original, soulful rock/folk/soul/just-damn-good music written and performed by a real artist. Thank you, Mr. LaMontagne. You've given me back the soulfulness and irreplaceable human touch I thought music had lost. This song has a wonderful, old-school CCR-like-vibe yet has its own, fantastic original melody, lyrics, and jam.

I just preferred Ray’s first four albums. He’s my favourite lyricist of all time. There was just something special when Trouble got released. I remember at 16 thinking WOW what a voice.

There was no going back to other artists once I found Ray Lamontangne' music. We've all got our preferences but this guy here is amazing. I'm from Toronto and last October I traveled to Boston to see him at the Boch theatre- it was the highlight of my year!

i was just thinking the same thing... definitely detect hints of CCR, only better in my opinion. I like CCR but Ray knows when to soften his voice and bring the tempo down just a bit.
