I was failing my classes, depressed, looking at dropping out of my engineering program. A week or so ago I was sitting in my car wondering whether i should jump from the top of the library or go in and study and start grinding to pass my exams. I listened to this while sitting in the car, I cried a lot, I thought of my family, and then went in and started my finals preparation. For some reason this speech just spoke to me, made me carry on. And today I found out all the hard work I put in the next week after that moment in my car paid off, I passed those classes. I have never felt more refreshed, more elated, or more validated. It may sound stupid but this 1:37 speech may have saved my life. Edit 3 years later: it took much longer than I anticipated but today my application for graduation was accepted, and I’ll have my degree this May! It’s been a long road yall. Get therapy, give yourself grace, have empathy, and remember motivation can be fleeting, you’ve got to form long term habits and discipline if you want any level of success in anything you do. As a Ravens fan as soon as I heard this on madden I knew he was going to retire this year, just the way of that music and his speech was all I needed. However, whats so damn epic about this speech by him is that he said "im gonna live looooong after my records have fallen! Long after my "RINGS'' have tarnished! Damn, he said "Rings" he only had one ring from super bowl 35 and after this game he ended his career with another in super bowl 47. If you ask me, that's the best part of the speech, hands down.

I remeber first playing madden 13, and this played. It was the greatest experience I had playing that madden. Something about hearing his heart and emotions through every single word, still gives me chills to this day

I remember buying this Madden back in HS and playing it after football practice but I never made it past this intro cause after every time it played I went straight to the weight room!
I was so inspired by this intro that I could never skip it. I ended up downloading the song to my library & I’m still bumping it in 2022! Once I saw this Ray Lewis became my favorite football player & I was rooting for him & the Ravens. Super Bowl champs!
The pure nostalgia I felt watching this. I was 9 when this game came out. I memorized this intro from start to finish. I haven’t played madden in over 2 years but now I want to again.
watching this in 2023 as all of these legends have now retired and are long gone from the league. it'd be an understatement to say they just "left their mark." Manning, Lewis, Brady, Johnson, Gronk, all these people paved away for a new legacy... a new generation. and that right there? is bigger than the sport, and life itself.

Like many, Ray is one of my favs, this game is amazing, simple, yet captures the feel of real football in 2012-2013. It was special watching the Ravens win the Super Bowl after this came out. That was a heck of a game and so fun to watch Ed Reed, Ray, Flacco at his best, Torry Smith, and Jacoby Jones. Cheers!

I have been watching Ray Lewis playing football. His stadium entries, the motivation speaches. I Work in construction, I bring his energy and uplifting spirit in to my collegeaues every single Day. Because of Ray Lewis's speaches I am able to find surplus energy to make my team All Winners and smiles at the end of the Day! I miss you dominating the field Sir ! In August of 2012 I paid $60 for a year long motivation video. I never actually got past the intro and played the game. In that year I lost 40lbs of fat and gained another 60 lb in muscle from going to the gym. I invested into real estate and made over $10 million dollars. I took over the streets and became the head leader of the MS13 gang. Then Madden 25 came out and my life went back to normal.
I was in highschool when I seen this I was looking at a basketball questioning life who I was what I wanted...now I'm 23 with a kid and it gives me chills down every part of my body bringing back the memorys as a teen
Actually this was when Madden started to go downhill. The intro is fucking dope but this was the madden where they really started pushing ultimate team and took out a lot of features. I still have good memories of playing this madden, but looking back at it you can say this is the madden that started the downhill spiral
