In this video I show you how to install, setup and control this new Razer Chroma Addressable RGB Hub. This hub can control any ARGB light strip, ARGB Fan or any other ARGB device using Razer Chroma. Also If you own other Razer Chroma devices then this will allow you to set the same effect on ALL of your devices even if its not a "Razer" device as long as its ARGB and can plug into this device.

You don't need anything to control motherboard rgb, just the motherboard software. I have set up a lot if rgb builds without controllers or switches. In fact, check my channel. My own PC is working great with no controller or switch. It just won't controll every device individually.

This is the perfect option for an older motherboard with no 5V, 3-pin ARGB header. My old MSI B350M Bazooka doesn't have squat for ARGB but fortunately has an old USB 2 header that I am going to use for this. Great vid!

I love you man, i spent entire night thinking of what should i do with all my fans, and how to solve problems with not enough ARGB headers on MBO (which is Asrock X570 Razer Edition) and i have completely forgot about this product as i was so excited for this motherboard and other released products. I couldnt even wait to see full video i went on Razer website straight away and i have placed my order for this controller. Thank you so much for this great video.

@@BuildsWithV just one question let's say I have 6 argb fans, if I connect them all with a 6 to 1 splittee and then to a single port in the razer hub can I control individually the fans or do I have to connect one fan in each port of the hub to be able to do that?

My brother loves razer as well, I can’t seem to get used to it and unfortunately I don’t have any other razer products. If I had razer mouse and keyboard I’d definitely use the razer hub in my personal rig. Love this controller and the customization you can do with it.

I really love this thing, the customization it´s almost unlimited. Just interesting Facs about it, is that if you run out of ports, you can conect argb strips together with a cable in series because each port support up to 80 individal LED. I have Panthec led Neon strips conected in series (2 Led strips in each port) and works smooth!

YOU CAN NOT USE 2 of these devices together. Razer only allows one per pc. At the time of recording I didn’t know this because it was a new product. The reason they used molex instead of sata is because molex can handle more power. I did not know that at the time of filming. Fortunately a few people commented to let me know why. @@Driftdee I have done it and haven’t had any issues however that will depend on how many fans/rgb devices are connected, how much power all those devices are using etc. in most cases I’m sure it will be safe but this is something you’d have to be careful with. I believe if you’d try to get it to use too much power it would just not work. I don’t think anything catastrophic would happen since you’re not overloading anything, you’re not really feeding any extra power into it you’re just trying to pull more power which in turn should just either turn off or dim everything. I’m not an engineer so this advice may not be the best but just speaking from experience. Do this at your own risk.

What fans are the dual ring models on computer you used for demo? Most double face fans with lighted blades are 24, 26 and 28 led models which would prevent daisy chaining them, you would end up with 52 0r 56 led to a port. I could limit myself to 1 fan per port, but I have other RGB I would like to install. Can I daisy change fan and light strip in the same port? Chinese fans almost all have 6 pin to work only with their hubs.

You can press that small green dot on the black part on the end of the lightstrip when i move mode in studio to change orientation of the strip so you can rotate it 😁👍

Building my first pc, bought the Lian li Razer edition, (older one) and 6 antec rgb fans along with a kraken cpu cooler. If I daisychain the fans it will still work when I plug the one port into the controller right?

Sorry just one more question ! From the video it looks like you just plugged your Lian Li fans directly into the razer chroma hub and it worked as far as controlling the RGB lighting on it - but I wanted to confirm this was true? I know it sounds like a stupid question but the only reason I ask is.. I've seen some reddit comments in the Lian Li part of that reddit where they report that they have to plug their Lian Li fans into a Lian Li " L hub" and connect the rgb 5 volt 3 pin cable from that hub into the chroma controller and then they can use Razer's Synapse program to control the Lian Li RGB lighting, otherwise they can't control RGB lighting on the Lian Li fans. But if I understand correctly in your situation you did not have to do that? (I am considering buying the Lian Li 216 PC case, RGB edition which has a hub built into it that controls RGB and gives power to the fans so I'm wondering if I should just hook up all the Lian Li fans to that Lian Li 216 hub, take the 3 pin RGB cable from that hub and plug it into the razer chroma)

I would like to add some RGB to my system and I'm thinking of getting some Phanteks NEON Digital-RGB LED Strips (probably 2), Phanteks Halos Lux RGB Fan Frame (maybe at least 3), and a Cooler Master Master ARGB GPU Support Bracket. Would those work with the Razer Chroma RGB HUB? My case is from Corsair and it comes with 3x SP120 RGB fans and the lighting node core. I realize that I might have more than 6 ARGB devices but I plan to use the two ARGB headers on my MSI motherboard.

Good video! WIll it let you set what I would call "a static rainbow" on a case fan? I.e. have a gradient of colors around a fan, but that stays there without moving? All I have on my 2 computers w ARGB fans (one w mini controller that came w the case, the other with AuraSync via MoBo) are dynamic effects when color gradients are involved. If it lets you pick the color for each LED of a fan I guess this would work OK as this could be achieved manually... Thanks in advance!

Manually with proper fans you can definitely get it done. But only if the software detects the rgbs perfectly. My fans did not detect perfectly so I couldn’t do a perfect static rainbow

I've just purchased the razer pwm fan controller and I've just got the be quiet light wings fans, the controller controls fan speed but lights are not on on the fans

Yeah anything that has ARGB should work with this. The front fans used in this build are actually the stock Lian Li Lancool 215 fans and they worked beautifully with this controller. Thanks for watching 🙏

They are the bitspower touchaqua notos o fans from micro center. Solid fans. Have had them for a while in my personal build and absolutely love them!

The only thing I wish you showed was the fire effect on the strips and fans. The biggest reason I'm looking at this product is because I have a Razer keyboard that has the chroma studio and I love the fire effect so I've been buying other razer stuff to sync to it. My only worry is that the fire effect wont look good on fans and the light cables.

I'm really liking this product the only problem I seem to have is with my Alpha cool GPU block. The addressable RGB header fits so loosely in the controller that I can literally turn the controller on its side and have the cable fall out. A little hot glue fix that LOL other than that functionality is excellent

am thinking of buying this BUT I dont have a free USB connector on the motherboard. There are 2 and they are taken up by the USBs on top and rear. Any ideas how to gt around this?
