As always hittin us with that new part fitment satisfaction! I have SO MANY brand new parts rubbers and bolts to fit on the VH SL/E. Man I cant wait! Hopefully the anxiety of dealing with new paint doesnt dampen the experience lol
I love that you do the small details. I know a lot of people look over small details, like the seat belt press buttons and bonnet rubbers. Keep up the great work.
Hi mate nice video just to let you know why that drives door won't open its from the security plate in the door next to the lock take it off and it will start working had this problem before
You might already know but be a bit careful with using those factory jacks, they love to tip into the door if they aren't dead level when you jack the car up
@@MindieJ Before jacking up you need to make sure the jack is leaning away from the car, that’s what the angled section of foot plate is for, then as the jack raises it tilts over on to level section of the jack foot plate and the jack shaft goes vertical. The L-shaped tyre iron used to remove the wheel nuts is slid into the jack handle and used as a lever to operate the jack.
Those jacks were awesome! Had them on the vk aswell. We just use the single wheel brace as an extension in the hole, can’t remember if it had a specific handle?
If you do buy the new scuff plates from Rare Spares, use a heat gun or hair dryer to soften them when putting them on or they will crack and split at the top.
Not sure if you know this but the little seat belt button seat belt buttons that you replaced you could do East you could have just run a heat torch or Oxford heat torch or oxy over it to bring it back to new
one good thing about the domestic cars is that you can actually buy rubbers and strikers and lights etc. Import world fucking sucks. Its either new OEM or its NLA. Cant even buy new headlights ffs
I gotta do some of these things on my vs especially rubbers all sun damaged clean the doors fix up my accelerator pedel or cable its grindy on the foot its weird and those lock plastic with the red strips should be quite nice then
Just a quick hint, if you should ever decide to swap the clock instrument cluster for the tacho cluster, you can't just plug and play, you'll need a slight mod to the printed circuit board on the back of the tacho cluster. That's if you can even find a tacho type cluster anywhere. I had a VL myself, I always loved the look of them but mine was a rattle box, literally full of rattles. In then end I traded it for a VR the minute the VR was introduced to the market. I loved my VR, best car I've ever owned.
Boss if it ain't the ignition barrel it's the LS alternator you swapped in it's a 3 wire alternator b+ goes to battery then theres 2 pins left one of those go back the the b+ post on alt and the other goes to a dash globe if it's not wired correctly it can keep the car running with key off from just the alternator itself I noticed this in the last video when you had the original loom just going straight to the alternator and that loom could be completely different to what I mentioned
