Indeed the Tamiya tires will have a LOT more grip than this. Still the lack of grip on those made it look very realistic. Thank you very much for taking the time to reply. Really appreciate it.

No, there's not everything stock on this car, a few things have been changed. I changed the main drive shaft to the aluminum version and I'm using Tamiya oil filled shocks. Thank you!

Hello BJ40films. Yes, the TT-01 has AWD. But you need to modify the skid plates and the differential exits to get the needed ground clearance. With the DF-03 you already have more ground clearance and the chassis is a modified buggy-chassis. So I think it's more suitable for offroad driving.

You are welcome! A little more grip would have been very helpful. It was so difficult to get this car on a straight line sometimes. My next rally video will be on asphalt, maybe I can get the car to drift a little bit with the Reelys.

Aus dem Baukasten heraus ist das TT-01 nicht wasserdicht. Ich habe einen wasserdichten Fahrregler verbaut und den Empfänger in einem Luftballon verpackt. Vielen Dank fürs Anschauen!

These are rally tires from Reely. But in my opinion they are a little bit too stiff. Next time I will try rally tires from Tamiya or HPI, they are using a softer compound. Thank you very much for watching and for leaving a comment!

im going to buy a second hand TT01D chassis R34 Nissan Skyline GTR this week. TeamIngel has a tutorial on ground clearance mod for the TT01. Wonder if i can revert it back to standard clearance when i decide to drift or can it still drift nicely despite high ground clearance? i alos have plans for brushless ESC upgrade later on.

It's no problem to revert the car back to standard. All you need is a new set of B-Parts for the TT-01, part no. 51003. But I will also test to drift in rally-setup next weekend on a local skate park. Thanks for watching!

TeamIngel thanks for the reply and advise!!! im also planning on scratch-building interna wheel well so as to minimize dirt build up on the chassis itself. what do you think about that?

nakazatoGTR That totally makes sense! I'm using a rain-cover to prevent the dirt from coming in. During filming of this video, I lost my rain-cover and snow was getting on the chassis. After a few minutes of driving in the snow this was really becoming a problem: The snow got compressed by the servo-arm to really solid ice and finally completely blocked the steering.

TeamIngel ohhh now i see... thanks though. has anyone done those covers DIY before? there's some slight delay with my funds. but by monday im hopping my check comes it properly. somebody on youtube did say the tamiya rally blocks tend to make the car bounce...that true?

Jonas Lo Regler, Empfänger und Servo wurden zuerst mit WetProtect behandelt und anschließend mit PlastiDip versiegelt. Am Motor habe ich nichts gemacht, dem macht Wasser nichts aus. Vielen Dank fürs Anschauen!

What scale are rally cars usually at?

A lot of people like the WR8 from HPI, which is a 8th scale rally car. But you can also get a 10th scale rally chassis from Tamiya, like the XV-01 or the DF-03RA.

MrProkiller98 Usually Ebay is a great source for rc cars. Also the cars I mentioned above are very popular. So you should have no problems to get them from any hobby store.

in greece they havent got neither the tt-01 and the shell of suzuki

Oh, that's bad. Have you considered ordering from Hong Kong? Check ebay.com, there's one available at the moment. But I don't know, how customs are handled in greece. Here in Germany I will have to pay additional 19% tax for orders from Hong Kong.
