In this video, I review the 2017-era RCA Voyager III Android 10 Go Edition 7" tablets. They feature 1GB RAM, 16GB storage, 1024x600 screen resolution and 2MP selfie-camera only. I received a half-dozen of these tablets to play around with. We teardown 2 of them to compare and see why 1 of them doesn't seem to have a working microphone (I haven't checked the other 4).
Overall it was a very budget tablet in 2017 with a poor display (limited angle viewing, burn-in, slow refresh) and even worse selfie-camera (640x480 max video resolution with blurry washed out colors). Even the best-quality still-image is terrible. If you want an e-book reader, to check email or do some light work it may usable. Otherwise, RU-vid videos will max out at 480p due to trouble handling decompression, and you will only be able to watch low-resolution movies (it cannot handle 720p or 1080p encoded with any modern codecs).
I''ve tried VLC, Osmand (for maps it works ok, GPS seems functional), MAME (only older games seem to work at a reasonable speed), Zoom and various other apps. Overall even at the budget price it is probably not worth the hassle as it struggles to do most basic functions today! So what should I do with 6 of them? If you have any ideas, please leave it in the comments!!!
