i love how the most used method of getting into Mexico or Guarma is just by passing out drunk and waking up there. Seems very accurate for a glitch lmao makes me feel like it was intentional

OMG I love you!! I tried so many other videos and failed due to patching and then I came across your video and it still works. Finally I got there. I ran all the way on foot too so I could save my game. It took a while lol. I got all my missing animals and now back on the main land. My list is complete :)
Just tried this and it still works! If you're stuck in guarma just replay a random mission (don't have to complete, just cancel) and you will be back in Lemoyne
It amazes me as meticulous as Rockstar was when developing this game, they didn’t allow the player to fast travel back to Guarma. There are tropical birds there I need to put in my compendium.
@@BasementGamerBros I went half way through Mexico ( after the first drink ) and then a sea of water spawned. The water drowned me and then when I respawned, I was in the large city in Guarma. But I was stuck there with no horse.
Fastest Way: save game and reload the save, it will spawn you North of Flat Iron Lake. Alternative Way: You can go North of the Island where the map ends, and transition back across the boundary where the maps overlap.
This ain't just how to get to gurma the fastest way it is also the fastest way to Mexico thanks man keep more good content and you should make a video to avoid the invisible snipers I'm not sure if that one you posted long ago works
Aw man, I knew I couldnt have been the first person to discover this. In my method I do it on foot and use the drunk warp to teleport to Guarma instead of running there.
@@BasementGamerBros When the map switches, I run back towards the main map until I come across a valley south of Mexico (Now covered in water), I walk in until my feet get wet and then get drunk. I dont know if it would work right after the map changes but I cant think of a reason why it wouldnt.
the second drinking bit is not necessary, there's a way to climb up. To reach the actual inhabited part takes a bit more careful navigation after dropping near the beach, there's a few weird zones depending on your route.BTW the Cave Method will spawn horses off the map to use, so no need for a cheat. Quite a ride tho, all around Mexico.
thank you thank you thank you! i tried a bunch of other methods that tried to allow my horse to travel with me without a cheat but i could never get them off the map. i ran the whole way with your cheat and can confirm that hurling yourself off the map still works!
I agree with everyone else's answers!! Like you try to glitch from the northern part of the mainland and it doesnt work. Sea of Coronado and that doesnt work. With the right type of alcohol and your wisdom I really dont know how you came up with ingenious method bud!! Thanks

Very nice....has anyone found the missing Spanish explorer who gave you the Jack Hall Gang treasure map in Guarma?? One of the news papers mentions his wife is looking for him and he went to Guarma looking for a precious gem and never returned. Wondering if you can go back and find him amd hopefully the gem...
Basement Gamer Bros yeah like they could program it so when you go there as arthur you open up some anchient tomb somehow and go in and find a decaying corpse with the red diamond in his hand (if you speak to the man and dont kill him, otherwise the body wont show up and the diamond is held in some place where u can just grab it) and you take if off the dead guy and realise it was that dude who gave u the map, also idea for an easter egg, if you return as john and go to the place hes a rotted skeleton
For me personally i dont have any problems with the sniper after the first journey there. I can look around freely. But once i walk past a soldier too close in the restricted zones, then the sniper activates and then he will stay there even once you've died. He will shoot again as soon as you hit the restricted zones. So your best bet is to stay away from soldiers when you first arrive in Guarma.
I figured out a way how to get no snipers while you're in guarma Step One make sure your autosave is on step to save your game in a slot step three reload the game and then the sniper should be gone

You dont need to get drunk the second time. This was my original method. It's been improved. Right where you used to get drunk the second time, you can just climb the rocks. 👍
Save your game before. I got there. Lsnded right in the bad guys camp and couldnt get out. Might try again and just ride around. Good vid. Which side is the sea turtle? Thx.
If you get a donkey, it will never run out of stamina as long as you don't go crazy on the X/A button. No drinking required. The problem with the method in this video is that it doesn't always work. You can wake up in random places.
I never have an issue with the sniper unless i shoot a soldier or walk around the village with a gun equipped. Once you have activated the sniper once though, it stays.
can you bring your own horse? I know how to bring a horse to mexico without cheats but i dont know how to get over the hill at 2:27 with my horse and i dont want to activate cheats
What is the specific direction you have to go after you get on top of the second cliff? I went first east and then southeast but when I fell off the ledge there was no water not poly mesh, and when I died I just respawned close to Thief's landing
You don't need a cheat horse. This trick no longer works in the latest version, the horse now turns back to New Austin. There is however one place where it'll make it across and that's just south of Del Lobo Rock, pretty hard to do and takes a lot of time since you have to walk half the Mexican map on foot.
@@andylow5966 yeah the unpatched version is easier and faster to do, but in the latest version there are only two places where the horse can swim across, requiring you to traverse part of mexico on foot until you reach one of them. Still doable though. I prefer going there with my main horse than a cheat horse.
Hmm, ok well there is a way around if you drop down into Mexico, then go up the slope to the back of the map, it will take you just a bit further up from where the second drinking spot is.

@@kevinm1734 So you save your game, go to Guarma....then do you save when you're done and then load your previous save? But then won't you lose everything you did in Guarma?
@@sbreiden2370 @Simon Breidenbach My problem was I could not get out of Guarma except by loading a previous save which was over a month old. I couldn't set up a camp to fast travel and I couldn't hike out the way I came in (1-way drop offs to fall into Guarma). I did end up losing everything I did in Guarma unfortunately (documenting animals and hunting birds n stuff)
Basement Gamer Bros The Angelo Bronte one. The point's moot now since I've gone back to Guarma using the Devil Cave trick and have since gotten 100% on the game. I only need the parakeets and an ambush from the Laramie to to fill out the rest of my compendium. Has this glitch been patched yet?

No, as long as you dont pull your gun out in the guarded village. And do not pass the sentury guards posted at the doors, go around the water part if you wish to go that way.
I still get a random sniper for some reason but if you're down in the trees you can run out of it & he stops. I did inadvertently trigger a bunch of lawmen though. If you take the only trail from the Guarma down to the waterfall area there's a tiger pit right at the end of the mapped dead end 'road'. I fell and 6 dudes immediately appeared around the hole I fell in. Shot my way out of there and outran the remaining 2...same as everywhere else if you leave the red area they stop looking for you & it resets.
I can’t get past the village to get down to the ocean. I get killed every time. Even without a gun drawn I get shot at and respawn back on top of the cliff. Is there a way to get to the ocean without going through the restricted area?
I tried that link you sent of getting by the snipers. I was able to explore a lot more, but not by the ocean and only a ways up in the forest before you get shot again. However, I restarted, and followed your instructions for getting to Garma again. I went way off the map in the Northeast. Then I came back and fell through the map, above Garma and died. They respawned me on the cliff by the camp in Garma. I then went in the town, jumped on a donkey, and rode to the ocean (without one sniper) and explored most of the island (even restricted) before I was an idiot and drowned sliding off a rock. I tried it a couple more times by stealing the donkey and was killed by snipers. So I’m not sure what the process is to get to the ocean again. Just thought I’d let you know, there is a way, I just need to retrace my steps again. Maybe it’s falling into the map again and dying, then heading back into town.
Strange. So you did manage to disable the sniper once? You need to figure out that method. I want to be able help people with this, but have never had the problem myself. Good luck. Let me know if you figure out how to disable it again!
There used to be a way to save on the island after repeating a mission whilst on the island and then reload the autosave. Not sure it's possible anymore though.
So yesterday I used This method and tot to guarma and I had the possibility to collect alot of the exotische animals. But now I want to go back but don’t know how, can you help me, I am there without a horse
Honestly, I expected there to be some legit way to get to Guarma again using fast-travel or something, so I can go explore and hunt exotic animals. This is disappointing.
