Re:Zero Arc 7 Phase 3 Analysis | The Re:Zero Podcast 

As someone who has finished arc 8, I had the most devious smile on my face for this entire video.

Chapter 25- and a little of 26 and Chapter 30-31 are still some of my favorite chapters of this entire arc, for 25 and 26 it just builds upon ex 5 and the storyline from there u see another step in what was setup there , there were some neat details in them that i would like to add to what was said: -Al admires Arakiya's growth and how beautiful she has become in one of the lines but arakiya doesn't seem to recognize Al in return, he even mentions that they were friends who trusted each other with their lives -Abel questions Priscilla on how many times has she used the Yang Sword only for the silence of Priscilla As for Chapther 30-31 from the title paralels of Arc 3's lowpoint ep 13 s1 The Self Proclaimed Knight Natsuki Subaru and now the Self Proclaimed Hero Natsuki Subaru, Instead of Emilia being the one to recognize subaru it's now rem's turn to do so, not only that but also next chpt has many paralleled dialogues from "from zero" with the multiple repetitions of rem and the overly helpful rem being replaced with a forcefull al pushing subaru to his goals But ye this has been another amazing summary and analysis so thank u all

GRAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!!! I finally got the chance to listen to this episode in full, and by golly did you three fucking COOK. The analysis on Subaru's character has given me the most inspiration to write my own analysis on his character arc(s) throughout the Vollachia saga. And all the theories throughout the discussions were mind-blowing and have me rethinking everything about the story thus far.

I’m definitely suspicious of Al, though it’s my opinion that the scene of him trying to cheer subaru up was genuin. He may just not be the best advice giver. Though I think “getting a win” to sort out his mind from all the losses is not actually bad short term advice

Imagine Subaru had had a more stereotypical isekai experience where he had his Excalibur and awesome powers before having these experiences that have matured him. I can see him being genuinely toxic and childish villain under those circumstances. Also, what would happen if Baru RBD'd right after having his memories eaten? Wouldn't he just wake up at his last checkpoint with his last memory being of Japan before he was isekai'd? Also, if Al and Baru knew each other in Japan, but Al had his name eaten after arriving in Rezero, then all of Subaru's memories of Al (including those from japan) would disappear.

With Todd you're focusing so hard on and reading into what he tells us and not what he's hiding. I think a lot of people hype him up as the true antagonist because he's seemingly just evil but he's ultimately one soldier in a situation where the entire empire is against Subaru and Abel. You can't just assume Tappei wants to write insane villains with no background.
