Jeff Rosenstock is the best live performer I’ve ever seen. He goes absolutely fucking nuts on stage. Y’all should check out his live videos the energy is amazing
As far as I know, Jeff writes everything or around 90% of the instrumentation and the band rehearses before recording in studio, his first solo album was recorded by himself using only his laptop, keyboard, and guitar. But thats as far as my knowledge goes, I may not be 100% correct, nevertheless Jeff is one of the most talented musicians out there. I'd love to see you guys react to his Worry album, Bomb the Music Industry's (one of his previous bands) Vacation album, or Never Get Tired The Bomb The Music Industry documentary. I really enjoyed the reaction video! Keep it up guys!
I love Jeff Rosenstock. He’s my favorite artist going right now. I think his best album is WORRY. I think from 2016. Best punk rock songwriter ever imo
Oh my god. I matched with a girl on Tinder. Never even met her in person. She and I were chatting about cartoons and music and she mentioned this dude Jeff Rosenstock was doing the soundtrack to Craig of the Creek so I checked him out. Best thing I ever got out of Tinder tbh LOL.
The opening song running from 2000s style alt rock and then into blast beats that spin it towards those guitar rolls that sound like the horns section from old ska/reggae real cool
Jeff used to be in a ska punk band so this is very fitting for him haha, he also remade his last album into an entire ska cover version of the album and it banged hard
Jeff writes pretty much everything himself, but then goes in studio with a full band and they track it live. For the ones in the know he's kinda THE GUY when it comes to DIY underground rock, specially from his time with his previous band Bom The Music Industry. It's kinda hard to summarize the insane lengths he went through in order not to be swallowed by the industry, but a few quick ones are - he created a label where he put out music for free long before that was a thing (back in 2003 i think) - he used to tour with nothing but a guitar and an iphone with his backing tracks, but would encourage people to learn his songs and bring an instrument if they wanted to play the show with him - he refused to sell merch and instead would spray paint peoples shirts with drawings and the band logo if they asked him to I could go on and on because the lore is DEEP! If your interested check the documentary by Sara Crow called Never Get Tired.
Jeff Rosenstock is the singer and plays guitar. He's a punk legend and icon. Jeff used to front he band Bomb The Music Industry! who put up all their music online for free, and played shows/sold merch as cheap as they possibly could. He started making music under his own name instead of BTMI in 2012. Jeff also plays guitar in the group Antarctigo Vespucci with his friend and frequent collaborator, Chris Farren. The other guitarist in the Jeff Rosenstock band, Mike Huguenor, is the lead guitarist and vocalist on one of my favorite bands of all time, Shinobu.
Don’t forget about arrogant sons of bitches, his first band that used to do ska covers of Radiohead and nirvana, before jeff eventually made my personal favorite album from his discog with them.
He also made good friends with the animation team and a few of them ended up doing the music video for Doubt. Really cool of him to do that, since I know in animation there's a lot of lulls where you're not really working or making money.
Jeff is amazing. Some masterpieces from him are his albums "We Cool?", "Worry", and "Vacation", Vacation is from when he was in this band called Bomb The Music Industry. Honorable mention to "Three Cheers For Dissapointment" tho, from when he was in The Arrogant Sons Of Bitches, best ska punk album imo.
Good wholesome content. Jeff Rosenstock is the truth. Insanely talented righteous dude. Even his side projects & previous work is really fucking good. They deserve all the flowers. Thankfully I will be seeing them this spring!
LIFE ADMIN is my favorite song on the album, it's a shame it's so short haha Keep up what you guys are doing, it's so cool to watch you react to new music everytime and I like that you all take it seriously with headphones and all that! 🔥
I HIGHLY recommend checking out George Clanton’s album that came out last year Ooh Rap I Ya, it was my personal favorite album of 2023, second being HELLMODE. Seeing as you guys checked out some Tame Impala you guys might enjoy it, it’s very psychedelic and nostalgic electronic/vaporwave mixed with a touch of boyband vibes
Experienced the album for the first time through this video and yeah, it is just filled with banger after banger. I despise the squeaky guitar they occasionally hit but other than that 10/10
Just listen to ‘I wanna be wrong’ and try feel the way it just builds up the whole song into ending. That’s what I love to feel when I listen to this music.
