If you feel that Earth is shaking, it's not an earthquake, just Baby Lasagna arrived to the stage. Pure energy, pure talent, pure winner. Good luck Marko 🏆❤🎉🇭🇷
Marko, Baby Lasagna's real name, is such a genuine and down to earth dude. When he's not on stage, he's such a shy and soft spoken person. But when he's on the stage he becomes a rockstar who has the crowd under his control. Its SO wild to see. You should watch some of his interviews, he's so cute! Still my winner 😻 ALSO! Not only is the encore at the end really great, also showcasing his charisma, but if you notice he takes out his in-ear. During an interview earlier in the day he mentioned that he wanted to take it out just to hear the crowd go wild. So not only did he do an encore to interact with the crowd one more time, but also just wanted to hear them loud and clear ❤
The fact he's gotten the most views and likes of all the participating contestants at the Madrid preparty just shows the pure hype of the song! The crowd chanting and participating combined with Marco's raw energy really makes it a magical experience. I hope he doesn't change the original staging or outfit much! Marco is improving. At Eurovision, the song will stand out. It's the only one that gives me winner vibes. Dont worry, Marco is a bit of a rockstar when it comes to those vocals. He has had years of practicing them - see his TikToks where he covers other songs with a metallic flare! Come May, Marco will have the underdog story of the year. People catch on fast! Also, can I just say that I too have had 'anxiety attacks' and the song helps me as well. Marco's rockstar vocals to me extends that idea. And this isn't even the main meaning of the song!
Everything is so well connected ,words, message, rhythm, melody, visuals..everything is fun and great for Eurovision format .I see that all the reactions have the most positive comments and views on youtube.. Almost all the songs this year are excellent, but RIMTIM... is a little more than that. Well done BL 12
Context from the Madrid venue: At the beginning, you could see he was trying to psych himself up and energise himself. He was using his own energy reserves to get going. Then you can actually see the moment - 2:33 in your video - when that is flipped on its head and he draws the energy from the crowd instead. His performance kicks up a notch, his confidence and energy become even more infectious. He's set free by the crowd and seeing how much everyone outside Croatia loves the song. That moment is for me the most important moment in Baby Lasagne's journey on stage to date. I saw him in Madrid begin with some trepidation (not vocally or anything, just not knowing what reaction he'd get), and then by the time we got to Amsterdam last weekend he has just mastered everything - stage presence, vocals, playing off the crowd - and he doesn't have the nervousness that we saw pre-Madrid, especially at the DORA SF and F when he was searching for his marks, was struggling with mic control etc. And if he wins, I'll always remember that moment of pure joy when he realised we all love him and the song he wrote. We were all singing - it was almost 2am at this stage of the night. Also, I had him do a short video for me in Madrid and he is indeed a grounded, introverted character but the loveliest person you could meet. BTW, looking forward to meeting you in Malmo - I hear we'll likely cross paths :)
Watching this from the future ;) Seeing all these earlier performances are really fun and also nice to know how it grew over time. The semi-finals and finals were in-de-scribable! That was the first time that I had ever seen Baby Lasagna perform and it blew me away 😍 Will definitely be keeping an eye out for his future work and who knows, maybe in a while we he'll tour Europe again with his own little band ;)
Having been in that arena that night, and while both songs are in my top 5, Switzerland was the one that blew me away. It just slapped me across the face with 'wake up and notice the winner vibes' because it's going to score well with both jury and public. Croatia may well win the televote, but the jury will still need to score it high. Switzerland was mesmerising on the night, Croatia was so much fun - I'd be happy if either won, but Switzerland was the one that blew me away in Madrid.
