It ruins your life only if you let it do and obsess over it. I had my moments where my body was perfect the way it was and now 20 yrs later I have the body of a mom with a kid and 40 yrs on my shoulders. My hb still finds me beautiful and I still find myself beautiful. Am I perfect for everyone? No absolutely not but that is not my problem. I couldn’t care less what others look like. I put on what compliments me and makes me feel happy and go on by my day. Don’t waste time obsessing over this social media whatever, enjoy yourself, your life and your friends and family.

I completely agree! And even when a lot of women are naturally beautiful and a lot who have the money to get Botox and injections or a boob job and you think they are setting the standards too high for women in men’s eyes because they see women in real life that have perfect hair , bodies , faces whatever, and you feel like you have to have a boob job or whatever just to be on an equal playing field. I wish nobody could get anything done. Then we’d all be normal looking. I feel like naturally everyone has something that isn’t perfect like their nose or their facial structure or their body and naturally even the most prettiest of people have something that isn’t perfect on them, but now with money, people can get everything fixed to be perfect on them and the poor or not rich people can’t afford to get a boob job after kids or a tummy tuck or whatever so guys look at those women who have the money to get everything fixed and look at us who don’t have the resources and now we look not as good to them.

It's funny how some men try to explain why they want a woman with big breasts and wide hips/big butt. They then claim that it is linked to a woman's fertility and that men are unconsciously attracted to it. According to them, large breasts are a sign that the woman can produce enough milk for the child (despite the fact that small breasts produce the same amount of milk) and that wide hips/big butts are a sign that the woman can give birth more easily (also this is not quite correct). The funny thing is that the fat in the lower belly does actually play a role in fertility, because it protects these organs, but you would never hear these men say that they find lower belly fat sexy.
@brokenanklesarentfun
@brokenanklesarentfun 3 года назад
Also if beauty standards were based on fertility then body hair on women would be worshipped because it signals reproductive age and holds pheromones.
@timwiesenfeld8031
@timwiesenfeld8031 3 года назад
What is to be true (small breasts have the same amount of milk) is not necessarily what we perceive to be true. (So big breasts offer more milk). Plus, back in the last centuries, skinny women were mostly poor and malnourished, while curvy women with breasts and hips were nourished and could actually have children. Further, you can śthink this way too: tall, broad shouldered men are most attractive to women, because we think they can protect us best. However, the best fighters in the world are more on the small, slimmer end. Not fair either.

I remember in high school my boyfriend told me liked my belly, and that's when I learned that my little round belly was not a problem. @@acelya414 I agree that we need to move away from letting men set beauty standards, but I think it's important to note that men who body shame women are not just looking for a reaction. Beauty standards for women are set extremely high by the patriarchy for a reason: it makes it easier to exert control over women. It's the systemic equivalent of negging and a way of maintaining the status quo of gender inequality that ultimately benefits men. Women with low self esteems are much easier to control and exploit than women with high self esteems. That's something we shouldn't overlook in this conversation :)

As I’ve been getting older I’ve been really struggling with my body changes and I just want to say I am so grateful for this channel and the delivery 💖 I love that there’s no shame to any of the women mentioned and at the end of the day it’s just a woman supporting the heck out of other women and spreading a message we all need to hear. its just refreshing to remember I’m a real human being and not an instagram post and I am just so happy this content exists

Believe me, you are nowhere near done at 13 where your body is concerned. You're still growing and your body is having to distribute "feminine fat" (100% normal!) to places it didn't have to before. It's perfectly normal to have a few years where your body may look strange to you because of that - I know mine did when I was a teenager. You're still *so* young and shouldn't be worrying about being "bloated". Just concentrate on keeping yourself healthy with good food and regular exercise, and the rest will sort itself out over time. Trust me.

Tammy’s paparazzi photos personally make me more envious than her Instagram pictures, cause damn she looks like she works her ass off!! Her whole body is so muscular even in “off-guard” paparazzi photos like she’s not even flexing and she looks so great. I wish she would post more photos looking like that cause her tiny waist, big butt photos don’t even look real to me. Like if you told me they weren’t photoshopped I would not believe it, so they didn’t impress me, however her muscles are super impressive.

Stephanie’s videos are the reason why my self-esteem isn’t as bad as it used to be. I used to “punish” myself (e.g., not shower, workout 5x a week for 2 hours, wear baggy and unflattering clothes, etc.) because my body wasn’t as fit and perfect as the ones that these influencers show off. I am so grateful that I found this channel and her videos!

So, I am a man, with a beard and everything. I noticed that there are a lot of comments about men's view of the body of women. I'd say most men know that a belly comes along with breasts and hips, it's part of the package. That's normal, we know and don't mind. I wouldn't really call a belly sexy but rather cuddly or soft. Don't worry about stripes or cellulite, most dudes won't care. Personally I think stripes are pretty, it looks like a print pattern or tiger stripes. Don't worry too much about bad skin. While acne is not exactly attractive, it is something that we have too. And we don't have make up to hide it :) The average normal dude knows what an average normal woman looks like. Don't stress yourselves. Also please dont't put all the blame on us. Most instagram models take and photoshop their own pictures and the fashion industry is mostly a women's affair.

Stephanie I just found your channel and I am so glad! My niece is 14 and I am totally that girl who turns and tells her to stop idolising these Instagram influencers and that they don’t look like that at all, it’s honestly so toxic! She has started not eating properly, came to me as she wanted to throw up her food! I suffered from an ED for years so this was really disturbing to hear her going through a very similar thing. This is ridiculous at this point it really is messing with young girls minds and I’m seeing it first hand 😔 but I am so glad there’s women like you speaking up about these things with actual medical proof this is impossible body standards 👏 💜 keep it up girl, bless you xo

Just wanted to say thank you for these videos! I often feel so very self conscious about my body, especially the lower belly fat. I'm quite naturally skinny so whenever I eat I bloat and feel I look pregnant, which is ridiculous to think because bloating is normal. We need to start normalising what is normal and healthy on a woman. Every body is different and it shouldn't matter what you look like as long as you're healthy and happy
