Idk why people always miss this. Ovi father didn’t had any money, Saju said it himself to his wife that the NCB froze Ovi father assets, that’s why they couldn’t pay. Saju told Ovi father that he would need an army to be able to get his son so his plan was to use the Extraction team to go get Ovi and do the hard work and he steals it from Tyler.

Extraction II is also absolutely worth a watch. They have a 22 minute long "one-shot" in there, it is incredible. Some of the best action choreography in the last few years....

I like the kid actor in this movie he does a great job in the film. Such an underrated action film I’m glad it’s getting more attention due to the sequel coming out. I’ve always loved this movie and never understand why it wasn’t liked more upon release.

The camera man, a.k.a the director, was/I think still is a stunt man/ stunt coordinator who worked on a lot of Marvel movies, which is how he knows Chris. And he built an entire rig to connect to the back of a car that he just sat on in order to film the car chase scenes. Also the scenes inside the car, they just like handed the camera to the camera man through the window. Also the second movie is amazing, please watch it, it's worth it. These movies remind me of a video game, they're amazing. People shit on them for the obscene amounts of violence and fighting, but that's the point of these movies, to demonstrate stunt work and fighting. It's like an art form and when done correctly, like in these films, it's so fun to watch, there's so much work and thought put into these films. Also there's behind the scenes for these movies, if you get a chance to watch them, I highly recommend it

That's really incredible. I just wish the cameraman/director took some time off to do a simple google search to how Bangladesh actually looks like before they went for that awful yellow filter to portray every Bangladesh scene in the movie. Bangladesh is not in the middle east and is actually lot greener than India comparatively. Yet Indian scenes are taken in regular camera while Bangladeshi scenes are all on that weird yellow filter as it's some kind of dessert. It's like seeing NYC full of forests and vegetation in a movie, just wrong and weird.

this is one of the best action movies in the last like, 20 years. The story is straight forward and simple, yet the characters are all well established and presented in a way that makes us care about them, and the action is just second to none. the one shot chase action scene is purely superb.

fun fact: Some scenes of this movie were filmed in Thailand due to the convenience during the COVID-19 pandemic, such as Ovi's school, Saju's house, the nightclub at the beginning, Amir Asif's mansion, and the pool at the end were shot in Bangkok. While the Kimberley waterfall (with Tyler's cottage) and the climax bridge were filmed in my hometown, Ratchaburi. In fact, that bridge is not far from my house at all. I've observed the shoot from a distance a few times. it was a cool experience.

I really enjoyed watching Extraction as I watched it when it came on/was released on Netflix😆🔥. It’s just a great and fun action movie to watch. I adored Chris Hemsworth’s action and his character ‘Tyler’😁. The story was solid enough for a action movie like this. Loved how the relationship between Tyler and Ovi grew as the film went on👍. As you said it had heart in it. Great to see David Harbour. The action sequences were great in this film and I’ll be looking forward to you guys reacting to Extraction 2 as it’s fun and on a different level compared to this one in terms of the story and action. Loved your reaction/analysis, take care and have a good one❤️

People always bring up the choreography in these 2 movies, and It's impressive, but honestly the story 8n the first is incredible and one of the few movies that actually made me cry. The second one is great, and the story is more personal, but the story of the first one just hits so much harder, and is, in my opinion, better.

Slight correction: John Wick popularized this form of film fight choreography, but it was heavily heavily influenced by an Indonesian Martial Arts film called The Raid. Think of it as like an Indonesian version of Extraction: Indonesian Special Forces/SWAT Team conducting a raid on an apartment block inhabited by a drug lord's army. It has some of the most insane fight scenes you'll ever see.

This is one of the greatest action films I've seen in a while and I love your intense reactions. Maybe Hollywood should let more stunt people direct more action films because it seems they know what kind of action people haven't seen but should. If you're up for subtitled films, South Korea has quite a list of serious intense action thrillers as well. If you want to see Squid Game's 456 as an action villain, "Deliver Us From Evil" is a good place to start. One of the memorable ones is "The Man From Nowhere" and another where the lead was an aspiring transgender is "Man in Heels", and so many more that I'm sure I enjoyed immensely but I can't recall the titles.

It’s been known to happen ( Not very often) but people have been shot in the head, neck or chest don’t die almost immediately and go into a coma! Then recover from surgery and go on to Live a full life! 🙄😉😎

This movie was a wide-eyed enjoyment. The fighting was everything, I love when a whole room is a weapon. I loved the gunplay. I loved those human sweet moments that make you like the characters. I laughed with a middle finger when homeboy was shot mid-strean 😂. Eat it creep. I'm off to the second one. Recommend action: Rambo first blood and the one from 2008. Expendables And my own joy lol Batman Return of the Joker.

So I liked action part, liked the why it was film, choreography in this movie was great that sure, but it was so boring for me in the end, story was easy to guess, when they started to run and hide it was so obvious, like nothing suprising, happened and you knew he would save kid no matter what, and I liked actors, the one that played Saju was really cool and Ovi too, good vibe, but Chris hmm I'm still thinking xD it was smart movie if we talk tactic and survival skils and Chris played this great but hand to hand fights I don't have opinion, dialogs were little stuff in some parts, and this heart to hear talk that Tyler with Ovi had feld akward. I only watched it bc 2 is everywere and get me interested so of course you have to watch first movie first, so yeah I watched, and I soon will watch two bc why not I want to see. The fact that I say it was little boring for me dosen't mean I hate it, or it was bad movie. No it was nice movie.

I'm seriously annoyed at this movie. I finally watched it when 2nd came out and it's worse than I thought. Not much of a plot or even common sense among the characters, but hey, if the action is good... except it's not, if you're trying to go even realistic-adjacent. "Bad guys" (which are actually just Bangladeshi police/military) or thugs are just there as punching bags - they either shoot and miss, are oblivious in waiting (and not even hiding), or ignore the weapon they're holding and go fight protagonist 1 at a time. This movie has more in common with Commando than John Wick. 3/10 movie, and the only reason for that high of a score is interesting camera work at times.

Well everyone has their own opinions on movies, you are 100 % entitled to yours! You can choose to clarify it as your typical “ beat em up shoot em up action genre type film”. Many people will definitely agree with you, but if I was to ask you to overlook the over the top stunts and car chase’s would you at least consider or agree that aside from all that stuff there is a deeper sense of morality that it presents to the audience? Tyler “Chris H” after learning that they were played and not getting paid still chose to protect the boy from his own father’s life path because he sees that Ovi is a good kid caught up in something that he’s got no control over plus that he’s not even recognized by anyone in his family. Same goes for Sanji Ovi’s father threatening his family to the point that he’s ready to die for his family. Where as Tyler is looking for redemption by saving Ovi from his father’s competition which is like they said its more about the humiliation than it is about money. So for abandoning his Wife and son because he was too weak to watch his son die so he chose to aim that pain by volunteering to go back to the war. So for him I think he’s just trying to do something that is morally right and he doesn’t really care about the $ yes at first he said “ find my money” but if you read what kind of acting Chris H is doing you can tell from that moment it wasn’t about $. Bottom line is take away all the action and fight sequences and IMO you’re left with a really touching story of a man who’s portrayed as a very powerful, tough, and very strong man on the surface. But is a very damaged, sad, & regretful man for leaving his family the way he did, and wants to try and get some type of closure by saving Ovi’s life because he maybe sees a way to save & forgive himself in the process? Just maybe thought you would change your opinion of the movie by removing all the other stuff and help you see it in a different light.😊 Thanks for reading Respectfully Chris Klatter 😊

As someone who's parents are from Bangladesh (where this movie supposedly takes place), this movie bothers the heck out of me every time there is a scene in supposed Bangladesh. That god awful yellow filter just throws me off. I don't know where the director thought Bangladesh is located but it's not in middle east. Bangladesh is quite literally surrounded by India and other than the capital city, the entire country is full of either forest and rivers with small towns in between. Bangladesh is actually lot greener than India, India has 3-4 actual desserts and Bangladesh has none. Yet they show India in regular camera yet decides to use that yellow filter for Bangladesh scenes for god knows whatever reason. Other than this, I found this movie really enjoying. But seriously, a simple google search would show anyone how Bangladesh looks like.

India has everything (dessert, snow, mountains, plateau, forests, volcano, white/salt dessert etc) bcz India is very big. On the contrary Bangladesh is pea sized/ very tiny, that's why it's way less diverse. So don't compare

This movie has literally no similarities to john wick except for the action. Which is not unique to John wick. I hate that people compare this movie to john wick like what 🤣🤣🤣. Story wise is also not even the same. John wick(the first one) is about a guy who gets revenge for the death of his dog, obviously there’s more to it but that’s really it. This movie is literally about an extraction(gone wrong). Literally no similarities at all. If anything this movie reminds me more of the raid movies which were actually the ones that shaped action movies not even john wick. That’s like saying Naruto shaped anime when it’s DBZ that did 💀💀

Jesus….I can count with my hands fingers that only a few of these movies are amazing and most of are below average-bad films and they have reacted to a few of these.
