omg paper bag was my first Fiona song ever 😭 love to see it ! we appreciate u so much and wish you luck in recovering from your burnout, taking time for yourself is important
one thing i rlly like about ‘i know’ is that its almost the ‘calm after the storm’ song after get gone. You get the very dramatic and confrontational get gone and then this very sad and vulnerable song afterwards, almost like fiona has lost the energy to be angry at him after using it all up in get gone and has simply given up in trying to confront him, like when she says ‘so be it im your crowbar’ and how abruptly get gone finishes and i know begins showing how she goes from being angry to just feeling lost and how rapidly these emotions occur and follow each other
Love the makeup, it’s giving angel eyes vs. devil lips! And like everyone else, agreed this is Fiona’s *first* magnum opus (with Idler Wheel and Fetch the Bolt Cutters being 2-3). Thanks for posting!
Best reaction from Fiona for sure! It's really beautiful to see how you feel about these songs. This is definitely my favorite album from her perfect discography. Hugs from Brazil
THE album I can confidently say changed my life. Wouldn’t be who I am today had I not found this album when I did at 13 years old. And this was the best reaction EVER!!! I was sooo hype with you the whole time and DYING to be able to reply to your rants in between! 😂 When you said you wished we could talk back to you I was like damn, me too cuz I am relating soooo hard and have so much to say!! lol. Why do I always find people like me on the internet but never in real life?! 😂 Anyway, loved every minute of this, made me so happy and you are just awesome and hilarious.
Great reaction to one of my favorite albums of all time. Also, not sure if you've listened to any other Kate Bush records but i would HIGHLY recommend "The Dreaming". It's got a lot of similar elements to Fiona Apple in terms of intense vocal delivery, experimental production and the songwriting is impeccable. It's also one of Fiona's favorite albums so that's a huge plus.
Ahhh amazing album! I had no idea you were gonna do this but I'm so happy. I'm stuck in the car traveling for the next 2 hours and now know what I'm watching❤
amazing to see you react to this album. its bloody solid one. i just wanted to suggest you to look for a cover fiona did "why try to change me now". there's a live video of that one, and it's just amazing. thankyouuuu
Would love to see you do Jagged Little Pill (the one that everybody knows), or Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie (the more interesting, more introspective album) - both by Alanis Morissette
Hey, just found your channel and love your reactions! I would really love to see your reaction to Kate Hudson (the actress from How to lose a guy in 10 days and Almost Famous) debut album called "Glorious". Its really good, I believe you would like it seems to be your style
WHHAAAATT? This is your first time hearing this album?? My goodness. I don't consider myself a hardcore Fiona fan, but this album is quintessential 90's. It's really an amazing album. Love Ridden, Paper Bag, Get Gone, and I'll know are my favorites. Also, I'm 40 and I started the process of being diagnosed with ADHD about a year ago, but I'm exploring medications with my doctors. I wonder the same thing about myself. lol. Will I still be the same after medication? I've been like this for nearly 40 years. 😂😂(I'm excited to see your reaction to the new Aurora album! It's absolutely amazing, and so, SO different. Also, that necklace is super cute, and I think this look would actually have been great for the Aurora reaction!)
I slightly prefer the more raw, esoteric, idiosyncratic sound Fiona adopted with ‘Fetch’ and The Idler Wheel and how her storytelling matured. But this is a fantastic art-pop album and really changed the mainstream pop scene in its own way. It was somewhat underrated when it was initially released. But its influence became more apparent throughout the years.
I agree. Her last 2 albums are my favorite sound from Fiona but I have a big fondness for When The Pawn since it's really quintessential art pop Fiona. It's also insanely relistenable and just one of those albums that is all killer and no filler.
I think you’d really enjoy Pj Harvey. She has a lot of great projects. Rid of me is grungy rock and roll. Stories from the city is more commercial sounding but is the one that most like. To bring you my love is her best selling album and the fan favourite and my personal favourite changes everyday, I like everything she’s ever put out.
Seconding this PJ Harvey recommendation. I feel like Fern would love Is This Desire. It has some of the most interesting production of any of her albums.
@@Missjunebugfreak I always see you under videos of music I like girl. It could be the most random song with like a thousand views… hope you are thriving queen.
