@@blockraven22 I still find it pretty hard to watch a lot of in-Japan RU-vidr content. Also some youtubers out there think they're so funny when they aren't. I won't deny that Paolo's videos are very informative. But I don't like the way he edits his videos, such as how he always asks people questions in post-editing voice-over which feel over-produced. And I used to think his positive attitude and on-camera smile feels very disingenuous like an American waitress. And Japanese mannerism is pretty damn awkward in the first place if I'm to be honest.

Honestly, I have NEVER noticed things most of these people are nitpicking about. You always have good positive vibes and same with your family! Even your son is adorable, so I really don't understand why people even take the time to say rude things. Must be self insecurities within themselves. Keep doing what you do, you're amazing! The way you responded to the hate comments was super funny!! BTW Your teeth are absolutely beautiful. Lucky are those who have big, white, strong teeth like you. I have suffered since my childhood with bad, weak teeth, and when I see yours I think what a blessing they are!! There are so many people suffering in the world and seeing you so handsome, happily married with a beautiful baby and thriving in your career can make people question themselves as to why are they not as lucky as you and therefore "hate" you for it. Such a broad and false Statement. Let me just take your comment with some Reductio ad absurdum. You claim hate is ALWAYS based on envy and jealousy. Lets take a scenario where there is someone who abuses a child/baby in all the most horrible ways possible. By your Statement, everyone who hates that Person does it because they are envious an jealous of that Person. You are such a wonderful person Paolo. This is my favorite youtube channel. It’s probably the only channel where I get a notification, I’ll watch almost immediately. I love seeing Japan through your eyes, and it’s made me want to go there one day. Thank you to you and Maiko for all your hard work. I never like posting comments anywhere on the internet, and I suspect a lot of people are the same way. I would think there is a silent majority of people who admire you so much. Keep that in mind when you encounter negative or hateful comments.

Paolo - I've been watching Maiko and you for years and love your take on Tokyo and Japan. I would love to visit someday from the States and your videos have given me such an authentic look at Japan that it makes me feel really eager (and hungry) to visit! Also, the way that you and Maiko describe food is done well and very articulate. Viewers get a real sense of the cuisine in Japan. Thank you for all of your hard work. I think the one thing I like the most about your family and work is that you're genuinely happy, even when reading some of these terrible things. As a 54 year old father of three girls its wonderful to see a young family doing creative things with their lives and just having fun.
