Fun fact: Off to the Races is Kanye’s favorite Lana song. And Born to Die is the 2nd longest charting album by a female artist in history. This album is iconic

What you need to understand is that she is the Influence, and not the influenced, she's been around for a decade and LITERALLY reshaped the meaning of pop music and culture. Taylor, selena, halsey, lorde, billie, all these artists have been able to run because lana was brave enough to walk
@Mira Koommanont of course they were already known artists but Taylor used to sing country and Selena radio pop/electronic and nowadays both of them are into a alternative pop/indie vibes. Taylor said herself that Lana it’s one of her BIGGEST influences, not just a little like you said, she made an entire speech about Lana and how she shaped the music industry at a award. We’re not trying to push something that isn’t real but Lana did changed the music scene and it’s annoying that people in general don’t recognize it when even their favorite artists do.
Albums in order: Lana Del Ray aka Lizzy Grant (technically her first official album) Born To Die Paradise Die For Me (fanmade compilation album) Ultraviolence Honeymoon Lust For Life Norman Fucking Rockwell Chemtrails Over The Country Club (to be announced soon)
Us lana fans r literally hypnotized by her 😭😭 literally cannot get enough of her, ive never watched reaction videos but i want to see other people experience her 💖
OMG I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!! And once you get further into her albums, she starts referencing her older ones and it’s amazing. But keep in mind she has quite a few slow songs and it is her style, but it (particularly Honeymoon) has the slow dream like quality and she is the artist of the decade for me😌 Also she rarely collabs and only lust for life has collabs on it.
kingjay239 I understand why you don’t like it but you need to know that not everyone has the same likes, and it can be wack and cringe to you but to other people and to the artist it actually means something behind the words and videography it has a meaning special to the person, just keep that in mind, thanks for your opinion anyway☺️
Love that you're reacting to her! She's my absolute favorite artist :) I think this album might be most your style out of all of hers, since a lot of her later albums are slower and lacking as much hip-hop influenced beats, but I think you'll still enjoy reacting to them. Each album has its own unique sound and style, and even if it's not your usual taste, maybe you would prefer focusing on the lyrics for those slower ones because she is a lyrical genius and you can often find some interesting meanings and stories in there. Also, she's got amazing music videos. For this album I'd check out Born to Die and National Anthem in particular if you're interested, and Summertime Sadness is good as well. Great reaction!
Can you believe that some critics didn't like the album they said it's full of cleshes overdramatic well they were wrong 8 years after its release thid album still holds up really well and still charging on billboard 200 she's one of the few female albums that stayed more than 300 weeks It's suck an iconic album
Okey I just finished the video. Radio is, probably, the most fun song of Lana. Hope you like Video games in the future, she is in my top 3 of the album. Carmen lyrics is amazing and my reaction was the same as you the first time I heard it. I really hope you will listen to the rest of her discography, her collaborations with The weekend are amazing and the soundtrack she made for The great gatsby is 👌 Thank you for give her an opportunity 🖤 The Queen deserves all the love ✨ Sorry for the bad english, not my first language.
BOY I WAS WAITING FOR THIS VIDEO OMG I CAN'T BELIEVE IT 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤 I haven't even watched the video but instead like. Lana's lyrics and voice is just...sublime.
@@FabrizioSalerno yeee they are really friends and They have two songs together: Groupe love (so underrated, highly recommend) and Summer Bummer (some people love it, some hate. I'm actually the second kind, didn't like it at all)
Lana Del Rey's music is very special. I discover a new song every other year. Like this year, I started listening to her songs "Ride" "Queen of Disaster" "Serial Killer" and "Yes to Heaven".
To me, Lana is one of those artists that are an acquired taste. Plus, there is not guarantee that it will click either. I have been trying to like her for years now. I love a handful of songs, but the rest don't click with me. But for the ones that do, they are very good and addictive. Personally, the majority of my favorites are from Ultraviolence and Normon Fucking Rockwell. However, I think Lust for Life would be more your thing since you like that Hip Hop sound.
Damn this was unexpected! I was waiting for a Lana Del Rey reaction can’t wait for you to dive in more!!! Also thank you for doing the Deluxe version of Born To Die. All her albums sound pretty different but she’s such an amazing storyteller and artist with so many unique sounds, so you will definitely love and appreciate her music. She’s more Indie not pop so that’s why some songs are slower. But yes Lana Del Rey is seriously one of the greatest even Taylor Swift said that she’s her favorite female artist.
Since you liked Lolita.. There are 4 different version of lolita demos! (and homemade music video) And also taylor’s wildest dream is VERY similar to without you (say you’ ll remember me // hello hello ca-can you here me)
I recommend you watch all the music videos from Born to Die! You'll love them. Also next I'd say listen to her EP Paradise, and then watch the music videos for those songs. Love u :D
My boyfriend first introduced me to LDR music with Blue Jeans in one of the mixed CDs he gave me. And boy I got curious about her other songs and her whole discography. I love some of them. NFR her latest album totally hit different, Cinnamon Girl is one of my faves off the album. There are some others that I'm obsessed with as well.
I love how you associated the vibe of Radio to be a car ride. You're gonna have a treat with Venice Bitch that was written to be exactly that perfect car ride song.
I am SO stoked you are starting on Lana Del Rey!!! She was the last show I saw in Nashville, before Covid. It fucking ruled! Just WAIT until you watch the videos. They’re like mini films. (National Anthem is a favorite for me) Also, NFR is going to blow your mind. (Jack Antonoff produced Lover & folklore for Taylor...AND Norman Fucking Rockwell for Lana. He’s dope.) LOVE WATCHING YOU! You’ve been getting me through this quarantine/pandemic. Thank you! 🤗🤗
You need to react to the unreleaseds, there are masterpieces like TV in Black and White, Queen of Disaster, Serial Killer, Wayamaya, Thunder, Life is Beautiful and some of the other songs like Big Eyes, I Can Fly and Waiting for Life. Please, you have a new loyal subscriber in me, thanks
I was just thinking a while ago "What if Fabrizio reacted to Born To Die? I'd love to see that!" and you came here and did it!! The telepathy is scaring me a bit lol not complaining tho.
I cant wait til you get to NFR. Jack antonoff produced it. He produced Melodrama and a lot of Taylor's last 4 albums. I think its her best album. You should check out Bleachers too!
I liked the video three secs after it started so you better live and breathe for off to the races 😭😭😭😭 also norman f rockwell is heavenly although her entire discography is top tier tbh one of the most underrated artists eveeer
My favorite part of it is how I wanted to listen to the album right away after seeing your reaction 💀 cant wait for ultraviolence (personally one of my faves).
Omg yes yes yes. First selena now lana, you're becoming my favourite reactor 😂 Please react to the entire discography. Norman fucking Rockwell is a masterpiece ❤️
Damn, Taylor and Lana are probably my favorite artists right now and I'm freaking jealous you are listening to their albums for the first time. I can't for NFR. My favorite album of all time.
So, IF you do Ultraviolence there’s something you should know. There are two tracks that aren’t included in most streaming platforms: Is This Happiness(iTunes Exclusive) and Flipside(Target and Japan exclusive) They are both great songs, Flipside being one of my favourites from the album.
honestly i love watching you react bc you’re coming from an rnb and hip hop perspective and a lot of the people who listen to lana are more alt and indie. very interesting hearing your takes on the music
@@raidersfanallday both are great, but Ultraviolence it's special. It's more dark and the lyrics it's so raw, it's my favorite era of Lana. I love NFR! bc it's very well done, melodically and lirycally her best album. But Ultraviolence have something that makes it so special and I think that most of the fans thinks the same
Actually Carmen it's about Lana, Carmen is Lana and it's talking about her adolescence when she was alcoholic. And Lana write Video Games bc her ex boyfriend plays WOW and doesn't pay attention to her.
No, she didn’t dislike him playing games bc he didn’t pay attention. It’s more about being in love and just enjoying someone’s company. Just being together doing nothing.
@@Sun-gk1wc actually her ex boyfriend upload a video in his Instagram of Lana in a concert singing Video Games. I can't find his profile, but the caption was something like "when you ignore your girlfriend for playing video games, that happens". Isn't that exactly words, but was something like that
Sebastian Monestel yeah, that’s not really what he said, you can look it up. And look up her NME interview from 2012 about her inspiration behind the song. She’s talked about it in other interviews as well
The atmosphere of December is deep & dramatic and I think that they mention it in order to indicate the feelings of sadness and sorrow after the break up as December is gloomy & somber & rainy. Thanks for reacting to Lana🙏🏻
Please react to Sabrina Carpenter (more specifically her album Singular Act I) I definitely think it fits with the channel vibe so far and she’s super underrated and I’d love to see someone who is unfamiliar with her appreciate her music like her fans do.
I’m late here but that’s exactly what I love about Lana, no one sounds like her, is so common to hear “I have never hear something like this” “I’m not use to this sound”… yes! That’s why I love her music , she is art, the lyrics the vocals the Melodies instruments and production 🙌🏻
