Because they are just dry firing so they tell you just rack enough to reset the hammer for safety reasons. They had us in a semi-circle around a barrel with "targets" spray painted on it pretty much right next to the barracks. They don't want you giving a full rack just to make sure you don't "accidentally" chamber a round and let loose a round outside of the range.

When I went through none of our stuff was that nice and I went through San Diego. Also the guy didnt rack it back all the way because they were doing a dry fire exercise and practicing stances and positions he did that so he didnt have to press the slide release and could still pull the trigger and practice breathing.

I went through Parris island this year. All the stuff is the same spots. they cherry picked the footage and probably filmed right after repairs. So many of the obstacles were delapitated for me lol

When i was in basic training in Ft. Benning Ga. I remember the ranger rain, the drill instructors would PT us until we were nice and sweaty and then make us throw the sand in the air over our heads and called it ranger rain lol

Even though you're only a Army Boy Scout sniper ;) This had me crying laughing at parts - but PI wasn't anywhere near as easy as this video shows, as when I was there in the 80s... The reason they do half a rack is because during grass week when we are learning the positions and getting used to it, we are also getting used to the trigger pull so we do half a rack just to reset the trigger.

@9:11 actually watching this vid with E25's in my ears. These buds are phenomenal. My last pair failed. When I went to exchange, as soon as my return (no cost postage) was scanned in at USPS, Raycon put my replacements in the mail. I had replacements in less than 72 hours. A lot of companies wait until they actually receive your shipment before acting on it. Not Raycon, as soon as they saw my order, they shipped, our orders actually crossed mid-shipment. I can relate to the fear. I'm a production rigger so I pull really heavy chain up to these I beams at venues for setting up and tearing down concerts. My first and second time of standing up on the 12" wide I beam, not holding on to anything except for your rope that's on the ground and then looking down... I cried lol. I got over it and even enjoy it now. I've rigged at 350 feet in the air and it's an amazing feeling.
