The way that one guy says "VIDEOGAMES?" lives rent-free in my head now. I asked a friend recently if he wanted to play video games and I used that intonation without even realizing it. It scared us both.
The absolute despair in his voice on the last one. You'd think with such a large amount of content and characters, there'd be more diverse jokes than just "haha, Smash=inneuendo".
6:48 finally, someone who understands what "POV" actually means, rather than just slapping it onto a video just so it can seen like it's part if a trend
@@prav7430 It uses none of the Smash games huds, but it does use Smash 4 renders. Also that doesn’t make any rest of the video make sense, and even then Wario F-Smash would not kill a middleweight at 0 even with max rage. I doubt even horrible DI could kill you with that circumstances.
That little Mac player’s name is AreList, and every vid I can find that he is in he shadow boxes and plays split joycon. He even did it at LTC 2 days ago. Absolute chad
I rated all the tiktoks from the last video, so I'm gonna do the same here. 1. (jesus enters smash) 7/10. It's funny, and competently edited, but still fairly low effort. 2. (school tourney) 3/10. I appreciate the schools trying, and I can think of MUCH worse ways for a school to boost morale than a smash tourney, but it's still not that great for all the reasons Hopcat said, as well a complete failure to consider WHY students are depressed. 3. (Smash your bros) 2/10, literally JUST for catching viewers off guard. That's it. Unfunny joke, lazy video, and ugly filter use. 4. (Videogames!? guy) 0/10. LAst video, I rated him fairly highly for putting effort into his tiktok, and nothing else. Now, he doesn't even have that. It's still the same old beaten-to-death "smash = sex" joke, dialogue is nothing special, and it's a copy of a different tiktok. 5. (Smash bros "logic") The most disappointing tiktok so far. The guy put some effort in, and smash bros logic has ample opportunities for humor, but what the f**k was that? 6. (smash bros condom) -1/10. NEXT! 7. (smash pov) 8/10. Funny, accurate, and relatable. loses at least a full point for the incorrect use of "POV", however. 8. (among us in smash) 0/10. The original would have scored higher, but this is so clearly stolen, and poorly formatted to boot. 9. (Little mac joycons) 4/10. It's fun watching him schmove, but at the end of day, the creator of this tiktok is just filming a random stranger. 10. (Top 10 guy) 5/10. IF you're gonna do something stupid, you might as well commit. I appreciate this guy's dedication to a less than interesting video format. 11. (1980 guy AGAIN) 2/10. At least this one was original. Probably scored higher for people who had some nostalgia for finding this out, but I thought it was dumb. 12. (She wants to smash) -1/10. NEXT! On a different note, Amen, Hopcat. Tiktok really is just designed for people to copy each other. It's so bad that the few good tiktoks get buried in the garbage, and sometimes you can't even find the original to give proper credit. To this day, I STILL don't know who originally did my favorite Tiktok joke, "I SMELL PENNIES".
Hate to say it, but I'm pretty sure "I SMELL PENNIES" is from before tiktok. Don't have any proof, but I think I remember my friends showing it to me before then.
As absulutely cringey as it is I can only assume the weird one with the selfies is supposed to reference the saying "taunt to get bodied" you hear now and then.
SOMEONE SEND THIS MAN SOME GOOD CLIPS I can't be bothered to download TikTok, but someone out there is epic enough to sift through the garbage to find something.
I love these videos, in some cases like the logic one it's like you're reacting to content made by aliens with a completely different sense of humour and it's great.
4:33 they were doing a TikTok trend and that symbolizes taunting. People get mad when others taunt so wario killed them. But then there’s the end screen, which is like a taunt.
Omg the Little Mac that plays with Joycons is from my State. That was actually at a regional that my region hosts every couple of months. He does this at every tourney look up his tag InoriArelist if you want to see his gameplay
hey guys the joke here is that smash bros is usually abbreviated as "smash", and "smash" is often used as a word for "sex" or "intercourse", so the joke here is your mo
The top 10 one just confuses me because it’s so… arbitrary. It’s like he took a WatchMojo list and removed and the veneer of context that led to these uninformed answers. Like, the top 5 were all the arguable best characters at one point, just never in the same game, which screams “I googled ‘best charcters[sic] in Smash Bro”’, but if it’s his personal list, then that’s almost weirder. Especially because he calls it Smash BRO, singular.
I think the logic with the mario and Luigi one is that they were in their victory animation? And Wario didn't know? After Wario won he did his victory animation?
Maybe the wario bit is like, in smash someone could just be standing around minding their business when someone else will come out of nowhere and attack you? I don't know.
I didn't think HopCat trying other things than just playing SSBU would be so entertaining, I would not mind seeing more content like this, even if it's not SSBU TikToks
Mario and Luigi were doing some dumb trend on Tiktok. You move your phone around your head and look at it. It’s stupid, but it gets you like millions of views.
The Wario one is trying to appeal to kids who are like, between toddler and school age, I think Like they just think people moving around or dancing and doing weird poses is funny sometimes Not a dunk on young people, if youtube or tiktok had been around when I was that age I would've been watching some miserable garbage but that's the only thing I can think of to explain that tiktok. It makes no sense whatsoever. But when you're literally 4 years old, watching a guy in a funny costume overcommit to posing might just be enough
I sometimes get recommended 1980s gamer's videos on RU-vid but unlike the tiktok videos they are actually fun facts about old consoles instead of garbage jokes "vIDioGaMeS?!!??!!??"
