Funny enough I found your channel in the World of Warcraft phase because I too was obsessed. Thanks for sharing this with us Nadine, I've been following your channel from all the way back in the old days of RU-vid. I think your lack of cringe towards watching yourself is because you know deep down that there was a smart reason in your head at the time for each video. Showing the different stages from (your) RU-vid. I can also remember the old trends of lip syncing and nowadays when swiping through RU-vid Shorts then I also noticed that this seems to be a thing again, hahaha. And remembering about the old videos when we all just created videos like vlogs and just whatever amateurish things were coming into our mind. Oh hell, yes, I can also remember your music video parodies. The broom video, I probably even still have the MP3 on my old computer, hehe. The travel videos brought you really into an amazing level of creating videos. These gimbal & slo-mo videos were so amazing. Curious about your new stage on RU-vid. You're one of the few RU-vidrs who are still active. Thinking back ... from 2009/2010 I went almost fully inactive on RU-vid. Then people did know me on RU-vid just only because of my help in the RU-vid community forums but not from my videos - surprisingly this help did also let me gain lots of subscribers without creating any new videos, haha. Since 2017 I am also again active on RU-vid but mainly on another channel where I'm behind the camera.

It was so cool getting to see all the different eras you went through. I would have really enjoyed all the different music parody videos back then as they looked quite entertaining (in a good way)! It is cool how you also had a gaming era with WoW back in the day. Although I've done travel videos since 2009 when I started, I even had a small "Let's Play" era where I played a couple games and uploaded them to RU-vid. However, I did the same thing you did and privatized those as my main focus is travel. Anyway, congratulations on reaching 500K! It was great getting to see all your different RU-vid eras. You have made so much great content over the years, and they have been very entertaining, enjoyable, and educational too! Even the online travel vlogging course you did with Kristen Sarah was really great too! I can't wait to see your next adventures!

That's a darned shame about the Easter Egg video, that one was a lot of fun! It's sad that Google can't leave the code in place for backward compatibility. (Not to mention the amount of work that went into building those kinds of videos.). I also remember your sketch comedy after you got the 70D. I really enjoyed the ones where your parody/character thought she had superpowers. I think you had a roommate character who had to keep you from getting yourself kilt. I remember trying politely nudge you to make a new sketch comedy vid every now and then in the comments, but clearly you'd grown out of that phase creatively. Ahh the good old days ...

I have to admit I got a kick out of your era's you went through and don't feel bad, we all had eras that are on RU-vid now and we regret... in 2010 I went through my "photo montage set to music" and "Dog the Bounty Hunter fan: era and phase...sad to say those videos still exist on RU-vid on a channel I had way back then. I have two photo montage videos I did with my ex's from back then and a silly Dog The Bounty Hunter thing my one ex and I did at Halloween back then. If you ever want to see them, and get a laugh, let me know and I will send you a link. But I will say since I found your videos just before the pandemic I am a huge fan and love all your videos, you have inspired me to eventually start travelling across Canada and creating travel videos. Congrats on your 500K mark!!

@@heynadine Yes I am, I only started watching your travel videos in the last two years and been following you since. I honestly love your videos. The one that really grabbed my attention was during your pregnancy when you stayed at the Hobbit Airbnb just outside Toronto... I am a huge Lord of the Rings fan so I was like "OMG I so have to stay there one day. I agree it is when we look back at our past videos or in my case, photos that I can look back then to where I am now in my work and see how far I have come. Once I move back to Ontario I want to start focusing again on video as I haven't in years. Hell I haven't made a full length video in almost 30 years when I made a James Bond spoof in grade 8 and won the county contest for it. Other than that all I made were the funny and now cringey videos I have on here on an old RU-vid account.

From the beginning, I thought you were a very sympathetic woman and I really liked the style of your videos. I still love many of those early videos with poor video quality. You had to be there to appreciated them for what they were. The number on Mb you could upload was restricted and good vlogging cameras did not exist. The choice was between very expensive video cameras that most could not afford, and still cameras with low quality video capability added as an afterthought. .You just showed clips from some of my favourite videos of yours, which I still watch again sometimes. It does not matter if you privated some, because I downloaded my favourites at the time and still have them on my third computer since then, along with those of several of my favourite vloggers. Your Nayders 07/Hey Nadine channel is a history of how RU-vid evolved from primitive beginnings to what it has become today, and that would never have happened if it were not for pioneers like you.

One of my first subscriptions was SuperDupaFlyGirl and I found you when Liz gave you a shout out and you had only half a dozen videos posted. All of that time you have kept me entertained because at each phase of your life, you have reinvented your YT persona. Of course there were a few boring videos, like the sheep show in NZ, but almost all have been enjoyable.
