oof i feel that. I’m not straight myself but I am white and cis and the amount of stupidity that white, cis people manage to commit is... embarrassing really. so much ignorance
Exactly same - like I want to do everything I can to not be associated with straights because... um... Homophobia? Being abusive towards lgbt+ people?? Disowning them??? Excluding them???? Discriminating against them????? Killing?????? Just ??????????????
@@gracevangundy9673 not sure about that but this statement is more to religious ppl: Making kids makes their god happy for them, sxx is only for procreation n shouldnt be enjoyed
I was raised by two moms and the sperm donor was gay himself so the whole "you have straight people to thank for giving you life" is completely out of question for me
Gwen Cleveland works for a straight mom who had a sperm donor who wasn't a heterosexual cis male too and cases of using a surrogate opens up lots of options. So many options I don't feel like listing them all. Odds are at least a few straight couples have a member of the lgbtq+ community to thank for their kid. And that isn't even considering healthcare workers and so much more. This argument is just so stupid it couldn't hold marbles let alone water.
I know so many people whose parents have divorced after being married because one of the parents was gay and "thought they could make it work to be normal". Aka, not every straight person makes babies lol
There was this one homophobic guy in a comment section who said that two women or two men can’t raise kids because a woman should take the role of the compassionate caregiver while the man cold and strict . made me reallly mad
@@kobe4212 I believe it’s ok to have preferences and not want to date trans people, but making a fake sexuality, calling it super straight (which implies that you’re more straight than straight people who will date trans people. You’re not more straight because you won’t date trans people, because trans men and men and trans women and women.) You also imply that trans men aren’t men and trans women aren’t women. TLDR: I think it’s ok to have preferences, but it’s not ok to be transphobic.
Me with straight (pretty sure they are anyway) parents who both support the LGBTQIA+ community but one used to not support aroaces/asexuals and nonbinaries but now they do,and me,a questioning person who is currently a girl and also me giving to much info: GIVE ME A SIGNNNNNNN
All the Bible says about it is don't cheat and be honest. Everything else is really vague so it can be safe to assume that they were referencing the don't-lie thing.
Aces and aros are hated by so many goshdarn people, but I think it's cuz you guys are called 'ace' and 'aro' like those are the best names they're just jealous Have a spectacular day :)
I just saw an add that said: “1-4 women get pregnant in their teens” “Women who are into women are 2-4 time more likely to get pregnant.” Uhm you don’t understand reproduction.
I've read about this phenomenon - in order to hide their sexuality while living in a stifling homophobic area they engage in (often risky) hetero behaviour, thus teen pregnancy.
@@19Slim68 I’m not shaming infertile people, I’m making a joke about how the person who said that originally seemed to leave out infertile people from their dumbass statement
Also some trans people don't mind using their biological parts to help them produce a child, not all trans people get bottom surgery and if a gay dude got with a trans dude who doesn't mind that kind of thing they very well could produce a child together. Just depends on the couple. Lol. Also many straight people also cant have kids so like??
Neither can infertile woman or woman with other health conditions for example my sister has rh negative blood it runs in our family and skips every other generation so my grandma on my moms side had it my sister has it I might have it but we don't know if you don't know what rh- is basically a blood type where your well rh- (Its hard to explain) but basically if your rh- and your baby is rh positive basically a bunch of stuff can happen and the baby can die before it is born it doesn't always happen but it can so for that reason it would be harder for her to have a child. And that's just a mild example some women are completely infertile
@nobody luley ?? Im confused whats so important about that its not the stone age anymore its not like your families gonna go extinct what would you do if your child was straight but was infertile there's not really much you can do about that
Well demi and ace people still have orientations and gender preferences, and therefore can be straight, but I get your point because technically they're LGBTQ+.
I love their logic. Tired of getting discriminated because of your discrimination towards other people? We feel you, must be so hard being so oppressed 😔😥
@@dieinaholehoe At my old job I had to analyse the results from a survey about extremism. We thought most of the responses would be about far right and Islamic extremism but we got spammed out by 200 homophobic Christians complaining that everyone else is an extremist for not letting them promote gay conversion therapy. They also compared themselves to slavery abolitionists for wanting to abolish gay marriage!!! This is in the UK which is supposed to be a progressive country regarding LGBT stuff...
“You exist because your parents were straight” -“My parents also didn’t have indoor toilets until they were fully grown. But you don’t see me shitting in outhouses because it ‘worked for them.’”
And they're acting as if there aren't enough babies already. World = overpopulated. We should praise the people who don't want/can't get children for dealing with that or for those who adopt those kiddos. They deserve the most praise out of everyone 🤷♀️
this is unreal 😔 so sad (as a cishet person...if u think we need a straight pride...i don't even know what to say to u. if u don't realise on ur own how ridiculous that sounds then i can't even help u. lol)
The argument against straight pride reminds me of a joke my parents used to say on Father’s/Mother’s Day: “Do you know why there isn’t a children’s day? Because it’s children’s day everyday.” We don’t need a straight pride month because every day of every week of every month is already straight pride. Edit: I’m really sorry, I didn’t know there was a children’s day so in hindsight this comment’s pretty stupid... oh well 😅
I celebrated children’s day when I was younger, parents would take me to the water park or to do something fun. Even though US doesn’t have it I think it’s a nice addition
Actually in Poland there's a children's day and I used to get presents on that day when I was younger. My Scottish friends were surprised and somewhat jealous when they found out :)
Orcas aren't boring. and neither are my black and white colored pets. But my friends colored pet parrots they use to have were very boring. And really annoying with all the screeching they made. So I cant blame them for not wanting them around anymore lol I guess people like you just try to do anything that makes straight people look like trash to everyone else. Just like that asshole in the vid ☻ gosh I bet it sucks to hear such a hateful opinion. Just like straight people dont like hearing all of y'alls hateful opinions
Lighty from light Were straight people ever extremely discriminated for their sexuality? No. That guy is not an asshole. He didn’t make all the memes poking fun at straight people, and he still had a good spirit about the ones offensive to the lgbtq+ community. Straight people don’t hear half as much hate as the lgbtq+ community has gotten and still gets.
me: a lesbian child being constantly reminded how my parents would never condone a gay kid, sending me so far into the closet I'm in Narnia while I research ways to move out at fifteen so I don't have to keep looking them in the eye and know they don't know who I am while I keep lying about my sexuality in order to have a roof over my head and food to eat, but knowing I will have to eventually tell them and potentially never speak with them again straights: let's celebrate heterosexuality for a month because we also exist 😁 me:
Hey if you ever wanna get out just hop on a plane and come to my house. I have three roomates so you might not have your own room but we make awesome chicken and we have plenty of rainbow flags. Also my mom will make you some soup and my grandparents will knit you sweaters.
Ok, but like as a straight person I don’t really know why everyone wants a parade or flag? Like we aren’t oppressed, and there isn’t really anything to celebrate...
e l m o Speaking of the whole ‘ally’ thing, just because I have questions, I feel like I read somewhere that if you just support you aren’t really an ally. Is this true? (I actually have no idea- like there aren’t qualifications for this are there :l)
Sign: "hey gays, you exist because your parents were straight" Me, looking at all the babies who had sperm donors /egg donors and don't know the other parent:👀👀👀👀😳😳😳
Straight pride/transphobes brigade: "only people who can have babies are straight women" Me, an infertile cisfemale: "... guess I'm a gay man then" Seriously, that 'argument' is so weird and offensive on so many grounds it's unreal. And also I've made that "when have straight people been oppressed for being straight?" comment when a work colleague said that we should have a straight pride.... And it actually worked as she clicked that's what gay pride is about.
I love that "thank the straight people for your existence" because I have two moms and both of my biological parents are gay as fuck and so am I, so yeah.
These graphics are worse than the slideshows I made in 4th grade, and I put yellow text on a white background. (I’ve moved past my old ways tho, and I use light grey text on black backgrounds so no one burns their eyes out trying to read what’s on the slides.)
The thing is, when you said Beetlejuice I was just kinda like: Wait Beetlejuice (in the Musical) is definitely not straight. He is literally hitting on every character 😅
@@toxicg8604 there is also a way to take an egg cell and take the center and inject into another egg cell then put them into the Uterus and then It'll be a girl getting another girl pregenant, preganant, progant, pregante
"Being straight is great" Yeah it is. Me and my husband can go anywhere without ever being looked down on, getting jailed or bullied. I want it to be great to be gay too.
It’s the exact same if you’re gay in my country. Plus you also have an entire month dedicated to celebrating you and are allowed to have vulgar parades that are basically illegal to criticize.
I’m a lesbian, and I love hanging out with the guys and being like damn she’s hot. We we all just talk about hot girls and yea. It’s fun. Sometimes the guys laugh cuz they love that they can literally have that convo with me
