Stafford is the best qb the Lions have ever had since bobby lane!!! The Lions don't have a QB problem!!! They need a TEAM!!! NOT JUST A COUPLE STAR PLAYERS!!!
@3D Winters What does any of that have to do with what I said lol. Teams don’t typically trade any players to a division rival. Especially not a franchise QB. That would be stupid.
I would trade him to a divisional opponent if they give us the best trade like 2 first round draft picks for him I would trade him to the bears or any other NFC North team. It's time for the Lions to move on from stafford they had the #3 pick and should've drafted Tua or Justin Herbert but they drafted a Cornerback that's how stupid the Lions our.
Detroit has tons of talent on this roster. I don't think we need to rebuild. Maybe add some receivers? Otherwise detroits offense is ready. The only place I am worried about is the defensive line they have showed they need help. I think this team can make a run right now if bevell can make this team believe. Honestly detroit is just like what san fran and kc have been. Just one good coach away from being something
The previous coach was fired for delivering an AVERAGE record, which is better than LOSING. The lions wanted quick, bandaid solutions, without being patient and putting in hard work
This is one of the worst videos I've watched. People talking about a team they are clearly not familiar with. Why have a topic on a show that you have seemingly 0 research on. So poor!
@I will Not lose lol not a chance. They couldn't afford a D tier QB with Wentz contract, and if they trade/release Wentz it's north of $50 mil dead cap next year, and $30 mil the following. Philly is going to either draft a QB, or live with Wentz until the guaranteed money is paid off.
My reaction to Matt Patricia being fired; it's about time. This firing happened 3 years too late. I say that because that unqualified buffoon never should have been hired in the first place. Just because a coach worked for Bill Belichick doesn't mean he's a good coach.
I'm from Detroit, and I've said for years that I'm a Stafford fan way before I'm a Lions fan. At this point, honestly, I just want to see Stafford win. The Lions have almost nearly wasted his career...
MY Houston Texans did what the LIONS did..they hired a coach / or draft players, who happened to work/play for the Patriots..as if THIS resume is enough to overcome years of mediocrity. The Belichick coaching tree is OVERRATED, and NOT MAGICAL. They have ALL failed for the most part
trade stafford/vets for assets and time to rebuild for a franchise QB. new coach and gm need a fresh start to begin a new system. better to start now rather than later
Saleh would build a winner long term, Harbaugh would flip the trajectory sooner, but may exit quicker due to his abrasive personality. Regardless - Detroit needs to do better for a city that has backed this franchise no matter how bad it got.
PEOPLE THAT WAS THE ONLY REASON BELICHEAT LET QUIN GO.??? GO2 DETROIT AND DESTROY THE TEAM SO HE CAN GET STAFFORD. he was supposed to be have traded him 2 the patriots last year
@@bigmixx how long ago was that ? Do you watch Michigan football? That trash is about like watching lions on Sunday and they run the same weak style defense. It’s cool he took them to the super bowl but the game had passed him by. That’s like using Bill Walsh plus I today’s NFL. He can’t even coach Michigan teams that were deep with talent his first few years. No thanks I will pass.
@@bigmixx flash in the pan with a super talented roster imo. Need to display more consistency versus being the guy who had 1 great season once upon a time. Like Foles/keenum as qbs. They had great flashes in a pan, but aren't franchise qbs.
@@Male_Synergy College is way different than the NFL. Nick Saban failed miserably in the NFL. Would you say Nick Saban can't coach? Some coaches are just better teaching grown men than kids and vice versa.
The Ford family gets on average a new coach about every 3 years, not because of bad coaching but because the Ford family is too cheap to present a great team.
NFL is destroying Young QB's they draft .No Team wants to be patience for these Guys if you don't win in year 1 or latest 2 ? they want to move away from you regardless.
He’s doing nothing here though I’m a fan of stafford but I think it’s his time to move on somewhere else plus it’ll offload some cash free up some space time for a new era in Detroit
At this point with all Stafford has given to the city and state, they need to find out where he wants to go and make it happen. I want him to get a ring. Patriots would be a great fit. He’s already used to the cold and has proven to be a last two minutes clutch qb which NE relied on for every one of their championships
True, who would QB this team? Unless they can get real value for him, at least a first rounder plus maybe a third round pick, it should not be considered. Can you imagine the career he would have had if someone could have built a good team around him?
I hold MP 100% responsible for the fact that Tom Brady is 7-3 in Super Bowls and not 8-2. He copped SERIOUS "Short-Timer Attitude," refused to do the job he was being paid Very Well to do, and instead opted to just go through the motions of coaching the Patriots' defense when they faced the Eagles. The result was that the 33 points the Patriots scored was the most Ever by the losing team. Oh, and in an earlier round, the Falcons, a team NEVER confused with "The Steel Curtain" or such, held the Eagles to only 15 points. I wish him Nothing but Abject FAILURE for the rest of his Career, whatever that might include.
Matthew Stafford is trash. He's a turnover machine and has never won jack, but he's gonna go somewhere else and win a Chip. It's amazing how the media glorify bad white QB's and denigrate good Black QB's. If Stafford was Black, he would have been out of the league 10 years ago. Black QB's can't lose like that every year and keep their starting jobs. Ask Jameis Winston. He threw for 5,000 yards every year in Tampa Bay and now he's backing up a running back in New Orleans.
Seems like the same nonsense this century as last century. Many different GM's, Coaches and players. The results are always the same. Sorry, but since the days of Wayne Fontes, the only consistent is incompetent ownership. The Ford's should sell the team. Otherwise you'll be having this same conversation next decade.
What a waste of great talents like Calvin Johnson and Matthew Stafford. The Ford Family owes a public apology to Lions fans and to each of their good players for the dumpster fire that they have created. But then again, so does Dan Snyder of the Redskins (yes I said it) as does Jets ownership and a few others too.
Stafford is here for life why trade a good QB, He is use to losing and part of the city culture and wants to stay. Keep him and build around him again. They said the same thing about Suh, then Calvin, move them to other teams they just want all the good player playing on other teams so detroit stay losing.
Tony Dungy is a HOF coach and a class act. Coming to the Dumpster fire known as the Lions would only trash his legacy. No one with any good pedigree would want to be near this team, especially now.
@@mjc-ym9xt hired by Black GM who lost his job one year later coming off an 11-5 season. That GM went on to help lead the 49ers to the Super Bowl. The Lions have actually skirted the Rooney rule multiple times because they had their “guy.”
@@shlidgn90 You do realize Mayhew was with the Lions for 14 years 7 of which as the GM, Right? He was fired after finishing 3rd with a record of 7-9 and having a poor drafting history imo.
The Lions have a lot of young talented players. They drafted and brought in versatile players that can do multiple things. They definitely aren’t in a complete rebuild. Why would they move Stafford to a division rival? That’s one of the last places that would be an option. None of these guys even make any sense 😂
Orlovsky: “I’m friends with Matthew Stafford” Stafford: “We’re best buds” Orlovsky: “Its time to move on from Matthew Stafford” Stafford: “Muthaf......”
Whenever I'm having a bad day, I come back to these videos to make myself feel better. Quintricia was the worst GM HC combo we ever had, and considering our history with bad GMs and HCs.... that's saying a lot.
Remember when orlovsky the QB "expert" lead that proud franchise to a 1-15 record pretty sure he got benched the yr the Colts went 1-15 he was the original starter after Peyton hurt his neck..can we all agree Dan orlovsky is the worst QB in the NFL history
Dan’s a clown. His opinion flip flop by the hour. He’s the same guy who announced Brady and bucs are ready for the super bowl after they thumped the Raiders...🙄
I actually think he is spot on with this one. What the Lions need is a soft reset. We have pieces on offense but will not have enough to to make a complete team with an aging Stafford. Trade him while he is worth something then go into next year looking for a new QB and MUCH needed defensive improvements and build the offense around 1) a new QB 2) a promising looking RB in Swift 3) KG
Jim Harbaugh is EASILY a better NFL head coach than college coach. I would hire him. But saying they’ll automatically be a championship contender isn’t just automatic. This is top-to-bottom the worst-owned franchise in the history of sports.
Hire Jim Harbaugh lol...ok. Half the people in the state already hate him because they are MSU fans. And half the UofM fans want him gone...thats like 75% of the Lions fanbase already unhappy.
When was the last time the Lions had a third or fourth round draft choice that turned into a great player? Can't think of one. Usually anyone drafted then by them is out of the league in a year or two. You're right. Their inability to draft well is why the Lions have been mostly a laughing stock since the middle of the second Eisenhower Administration.
They are not trading him to a divisional opponent, that is absolutely absurd. I could see Indy, San Fran, Patriots, if the eagles move on from Wentz, Washington, Carolina, etc.
Did Key just say a top 3 pick is unnecessary nonsense? What? Trade your franchise QB to a division rival? What? Moving him to Chicago is not moving him to a contender.. they’re about to be rebuilding too. Good lord 🤦♂️
Harbaugh belongs to Chicago, Detroit doesn't need him ! Hire Tomas Dimitroff and bring back Caldwell ! This is a total rebuild on defense and the offense needs 3 WR's, QB .
It's always comedic watching Dan O. always offering his 2 cents on different quarterbacks. He was never an elite player himself. Why didn't he offer that "savvy" and insight, to his own career?
The Guy who has made over $300M over his 13 year carrier and hasn't won anything should go to Chicago and take a young QB's Job and you guys think is cool? not very smart pundits.
