@@illusionking7 Most of it got solved. Pakistan and China were given some extra space though (from India’s land), so India is a little mad. That’s why we have border conflicts happening there, and why it’s on the news a lot.
Lots of people tried to claim the land below Egypt, but it was never official. To make it official you need to take the following steps. 1) Claim the land 2) Have a means to defend it 3) Build an economy 4) Be recognized by other countries as a county
That opening US-Mexico picture is the San Diego(Technically a suburb called San Ysidro)-Tijuana border area. Despite the impressions the wall might give, Tijuana basically exists for the sole purpose of helping the countries being accessible to one another, and the most busy land border crossing on earth is there in the background. There’s a ton of manufacturing, a ton of people awaiting immigration, and a ton of business that exist to capitalize on discrepancies between US and Mexico law and living costs (Everything from cheaper doctors, dentists, and mechanics to a red light district that operates out in the open). Some poorer Americans will even find ways to (illegally but it’s rare that anyone cares) rent or buy property in Tijuana where housing is much cheaper and cross every day to go about their daily business in America) The reason for the green space on the US side is that the Tijuana river (more like Tijuana sewer) crosses north of the border just before reaching the sea. That is its estuary, and that one building you see has the Herculean task of trying to make that water a little less... the worst thing ever.

There is actually are another couple of areas of unclaimed land. One currently in interesting play is a border dispute between Serbia and Croatia. Due to a disagreement on a border shift technicality each side refuses to claim a few bits of land. A micronation was sorta jokingly started on a large piece because of its unclaimed status and now that joke has become a running serious development.
There's another interesting place called Derby Line and Stanstead along the US-Canada border between Vermont and Quebec. The border goes right through a library
That first what the f you gave was the border of my town, San Diego with the current murder capital of Mexico, Tijuana. That's looking from a hillside just above the ocean looking east towards the San Ysidro border crossing. Actually it might be a little further east than that. I don't see the airport so that is why I think it's closer to the ocean
Kentucky originally had it's northern and western borders dictated by the Ohio and Mississippi rivers, over the course of time the rivers have shifted. On the north-western Ohio river border just south of Evansville there's a jut of land on the north bank of the river that is still part of Kentucky, Ellis Thoroughbred Race Horse track is there (illegal in Indiana). There's a far western piece of land belonging to Kentucky that now juts into Missouri, the Mississippi river now it's north border but only land route is from Tennessee.

This is interesting but funny too. Governments can be stupid. Why draw lines in the stone when you can just create a neutral zone? I'm sure the residents wouldn't mind NOT being a source of discourse.
