at least nightbird had not a lot of spread. just a bug where the aim was not centered. when you sort that out you could melt infantry with the scout's miniguns. there is a clip somewhere on focusbf twitch channel where he was explaining it

You are right. And the new air vehicles are madly OP i had gameplay´s with 70+ Kills and if you don´t trust my word whatch @silk gameplay he has one video with a 135:0. So they are less fun and unbelievably broken. However the jets are shite.

Yep exactly what I wanted and it would have ticked all the boxes. I've been telling them that for about 3 years in their stupid little surveys that they ignore. We must have been outnumbered by people screaming out for them to change the core mechanics of the game and turn it into COD Ground War. I was prepared to give them one more chance after BF5. Thank God I didn't pre order this time, what a bloody shambles.

@@drewroller32 You're basing this all on a beta with 4 specialist. Did you get the glitch that showed you what the rest look like? With the customization there will be so many variations. As someone who hardly used mckay I dont see it as a problem. Maybe a tone difference in the 2 but even then.... in bf4 its very hard to distinguish the difference in enemy and allie. I just shoot at the dude without the user name above there head. Portal will give us everything everyones crying about and specialists with their traits. Seams like a win win to me.

Whats the difference between specialists and classes really? Would you be fine, if they called them "classes" and gave them generic look but the core system was same as of now? How being obligated to use some specific gadget with specific weapon is any good? Give bf4 classes ability to choose any weapon and they are specialist now. Medic with lmg or sniper with ammo crate and look of support. So adding a nice feature but calling them specialist now is a bad thing. If you want to play as old classes so restrict choice by yourself and use loadouts which are the same as in bf4

It’s blatantly obvious that they are following in CoD’s footsteps when you look at things such as the vehicle mechanics/physics. Never have I been so disappointed with vehicles in a battlefield game. And don’t even get me started on how horrible the specialist system is.

Everything floats. Even you. Its like the gravity is set to 50% so that the tornado can do its job. Now the hazard zone trailer shows the wing suit can basically just fly around and even land without parachute. I'm seeing too many problems that even portal may not be able to fix. The grappling gun is going to be exploited massively. Not to mention balancing what 12-20 different specialist specialties. I see a nerf/buff repeat cycle in the future. No pun intended.

I’ve played apex and cod and I wouldn’t say battlefield 2042 feels like them. It seems like they’re trying to make it more accessible to new players but it still feels like battlefield.

Agree with everything up until specialists - they're a big F OFF back to COD. I think they should have kept the classes and used a massively expanded on version of the 2142 talent trees, mixed with a better perk system that's fully customizable. Greater individual customisation, weapon categories, and gadgets to encourage each of the classes into more developed squad play with risk / reward. Bots and 128 player are gimmicks as well. I do like the t-system with the attachment changes and options... That's about it, and even that has flaws.

It really isn’t Dice it’s the suits barging in and telling them to make these changes. Trust me I know a guy who used to work at 343 back then when Microsoft was too hands on and controlling. He told me he could never do anything right for them and they rushed them constantly on anything when Halo 4 was in development. They originally wanted a ton more missions but had to cut them down just to get it out there.

And yeah the grappling hook is good but the drone has been super useful as well imo. When I been in situations where I know enemies were coming I would hide, fly the drone up real quick, then get the jump on them. Not to mention jihad drones lmao

I love the drone guy since I can put C4 all over and then fly over to a group of enemies only to then blow them all up. With a little thought and some insanity mixed in these specialists have the potential to very OP.

i could see why most fans wanted to go back to old style battlefield but yeah its not just the fans who are enough to feed the whole establishment too. i only worry for those devs cuz bf5 and bf4 did more loses than profit if u check the sales and compare it to sites of production stage. but yeah id love bf 4 mechanics and other stuff to comeback and just be a bf nostalgic game

I did have fun playing the beta but instead of keeping it's roots They are trying for sure to pull in Apex legend players and COD fanboys. Hence EA owns respawn, and notice how grappling hook is basically the Titanfall grapeling hook and the slide feels basically the same as well. I believe they took all the code out of Titanfall and pasted it to add some features. But don't forget to cator to the cod fanboy the slide that doesn't slow you down with no aim penalties and also no aim penalty for the slide jump jump jump slide jump slide slide jump jump jump. (Cough cough) you know who you are sweat lord's. Got to Keep that paper towel roll next to you to dab that forehead off. Then can add specialist to the lootbox for $10 a pop and get all of mom and dad's money. This game is having a Crisis of whether it is male, female, and whatever other made up genders there are to pick from. And I'm sure the BF community won't be the ones buying the neon gun skins. It would be crazy if we went back to the cooler skins were unlocked by actually playing a game.

I was really hyped but after playing the beta I was left very disappointed with a lot of things ranging from not having classes, vehicles being the worse they’ve ever felt in a Battlefield game, the UI being a disaster, not having a scoreboard that shows how everyone did, and a bunch of missing features.

@@lejenddairy I think the game will be very successfull and we wont do crap about it. When I take it for what it is, the beta was a lot of fun, but it wasnt battlefield. It was a constant dopamine rush type of fun though. Simply put I think its gonna be a decent game but its not being developed for us (long time bf players), but for a different group of people, so our concerns are not important to the devs.

Like always, DICE LA revives Stockholm's aborted, half-baked concepts. This time is no different, with The Portal saving 2042. I mean genuinely, is anyone excited to get killed by yet another Falck clone on all-out-warfare? I've been playing no HUD for a decade now, so this game is particularly painful. I didn't enjoy it much. I would cancel my pre-order, but I have nothing better to play these days

@@69metersbelow25 an additional feature where u can set the provided maps to any setting you want. For example you can have one team as vintage army V modern, tank only conquest etc. The possibilities are endless. The server owner has complete carte blanche to work on afaik. This means that the main game might get ignored in favour of server settings that refer to classic bf mechanics such as the class system, that may not allow grapple hooks for instance. Just simple bf,boots on the ground working in tandem with vehicles. Non of that tarzan bollox. .

@@pissyourselfandshitncoom2172 there's a couple of potential great game modes like tank conquest. A fairly even playing field regarding armour would be so cool. Plus of course classic class based servers.

BF3 Beta was also almost two weeks if I recall correctly. BF2042 Beta was like 2 days for people that didnt pre order or own EA Plus. It's so stupid.

I played it quite a bit and thought it looked promising;) i run on i7 16gb 3070 and it looked whay better than bf4, sniping felt really good;)

my 970 hated it, even with my new ryzen 5600x cpu. ran like poop. cpu was only running at 40% tho. but is this game worth the upgrade since i can play anything else on this card...

i7 6700k/32GB/gtx1070 was barely able to run at 60fps on medium and regularly dropped to 40 with a peaks at 70.

Portal was the game mode for us in this game they said. Though I would love a classic conquest/All out war option rather than us having to make it ourselves.

That’s the problem is they messed up badly with BFV, then MW copied off of the Battlefield formula, grew successful because of it and now EA wants DICE to copy off of CoD’s formula so that they can market the game to warzone players.

when i heard they weren’t doing a campaign just to focus on the multiplayer i was actually so fine with that. but then when i saw that it wasn’t just the normal 4 classes and instead some black ops 3 specialists mfs coming in i was disappointed.

that's pretty strange that many on reddit think the gunplay is bad. compared to the older games. Random bullet deviation and recoil were a problem in BF3 to 1. because it affects your skill in a negative way. hitting the opponent becomes a game of chance. since BFV we have got a new and better gunplay that has now been refined in BF 2042. and feels even better and with weight. I love it.

@@Steve-mx9rr finally some people who understand, it's just braindead casuals and noobs that want the previous gunplay mechanics, but even with the spread, and deviation in say bf4, you could make almost all guns literal laser beams with some minimal recoil control and a stubby grip( which is basically what 2042 gunplay is like) .. especially on PC.

@@terminate_all BFV has spread and Spread to Recoil convertion that gives you random recoil to your recoil pattern. Wich is objectively worse than BF4 or 1. You can tap fire in those games and if you get your burst right your shots will hit. In BFV you can miss because the gun recoiled in a random direction that you didnt predict.

It's crazy to me that business executives are this stupid in every facet of societ. Like they looked at Apex and Warzone and with their remaining two braincells just decided "oh unique characters with abilities and cosmetics, GENIUS lets make it the pinnacle of our game" instead of building a Battlefield from the ground up with core elements of a BF game. Like even Apex and war zone built up their own games identity more than just waving a SPECIALIST in our faces, how stupid are these people who have actual salaries.

The bug for me was that I couldn't call in vehicles and that little robo dog. Just never worked after I would select what I want. Weird.

@@ghostriderkickass it’s not bugs we’re talking about, it’s design decisions. The game was clearly made to cater to the warzone audience. Just look at specialist and how horrible the vehicles feel. The vehicles don’t even feel like they belong in a Battlefield game ffs. Bugs will be fixed after the beta but major design decisions aren’t likely to change one bit.
