The girl with the deeper voice is actually their main rapper (Dami). The one (Handong) w/ “oh now, feeling this pain” is actually their 5th vocal in line more or less, she got the killer lines this time. The black hair in the middle of the chorus is the main vocal (Siyeon). The queen (Yoohyun) and the deceased (Jiu) are the lead vocals (note it was Jiu who holds the sword in both instances). Jiu the soft voice usually gets the bridges and Yoohyun the build up to Siyeon. The one (Sua) who got kicked outside of the Palace raps and sings but is having more vocal parts lately; taking lines from both Siyeon and Yoohyun. In the beginning the cutie w/ the pink background and falling leaves is Gahyun who is last in line for now! She also rapped in one of their recent come backs, which surprised everyone. Lot of talk about the plot, but like every story they all revert back to classic literature like Macbeth, betrayal for the throne. Yoohyun kills her friend Jiu and gets rid of the others (exiled, imprisoned, and killed). While she finds herself alone on the throne, she's having illusions/flashback like Macbeth, which has been interpreted as "deja-vu" is my guess, i.e., it's an epic girl fight! Jiu the original queen and Yoohyun the bitch who betrayed my Jiu... but i forgive her.. “PIRI”, “What” are the more recent comebacks, then u can go back to their earlier songs. All their songs that lead up to PIRI had a continuing story line, the sequence: Chase me: Ghost hunter investigates haunted hotel where dream catcher resides Good night: he captures Sua, but the girls later rescue her and instead traps him inside the mirror while escaping… Fly High: is a prequal which shows how dream catcher becomes nightmares; Yuhyun killing the spider (lady). Jiu seeing herself is a flashback to Fly High for example… one can go on and on but not good for one’s mental health… the trap element w/ rock makes this song one of the best that have come out this year in Kpop. the deep base is awesome, the guitar and drum setup are great… I considered this as a dream catcher “rock ballad” until “Déjà vu” came out. Déjà vu will grow on you and will eventually stand the test of times. You should check out their dance practice videos, they are famous for their choreo…
There’s a whole choreo for this song despite it being one of their slower songs. Check out their dance practice and live performances of this. It’s just wow! They just went story mode with the MV which kinda follows the storyline of the mobile game King’s Raid whom they’re collaborating with (hence “special” mini album) You’ve got about 2 years to catch up on (5 if you decide to check out Minx aka DC before they became DC) but you’ll definitely won’t be disappointed. The looks on your faces when that chorus dropped. That is why I love watching people's reactions to the first time they ever hear Dreamcatcher. But! This MV is a collaboration with King's Raid (mobile game) so this MV has a much higher production budget than their previous ones. If you want to react to more Dreamcatcher, I would highly suggest that you watch their MVs in order because it's kind of necessary for the plot line to develop. The story order is slightly out of sync with the release order, so I'll give you both: Story order: Fly High (prequel) -> Chase Me -> Good Night -> You & I (end of Antique nightmare story) -> What (beginning of modern nightmares/trying to escape the dreamworld) -> Piri (possibly end of Nightmare sequence?) Release order: Chase Me -> Good Night -> Fly High -> You & I -> What -> Piri They've released a Japanese single Breaking Out which is still part of the Nightmare story I think, but I'm not entirely sure. (It's the first title track that isn't just a translation of the Korean) The girls are all wonderful dorks with boatloads of talent - they all do numerous covers both dance and vocals (Siyeon's version of Speechless even made Disney notice, and she's been getting a lot of buzz for her rock cover of Exo's Overdose on the program V-1 - oh yeah, and they don't change the pronouns. The one and only time they've ever done a switch with genders is on their live cover of Bang Bang Bang, making the song a lot less problematic lol) and they've done covers of several English songs. Sua (main dancer, lead vocal, lead rapper - she's our queen that's a triple threat) has also made her own choreographies to Havana (her & Dami in the special clip, then expanded for all 7 of them for lives) and recently to Taki Taki (her, Jiu - the blonde here, and Yoohyeon - the other main character in the MV). The fandom is called inSomnia (in dreams) and the girls all love us to bits. Welcome to the Dreamworld! As you will have noticed watching again, there are choreography scenes during the first chorus as well; this is a performance-based group in that their choreography is usually quite outstanding, but since this is a special album that was created in collaboration with a mobile game called King's Raid, it focuses on the narrative aspects, and two of the members in particular, which are shown in opposition to each other: Yoo-hyeon wears the white dress during the pre-chorus stand-off whereas JiU holds the sword and wears the black outfit. The outfits are later reversed, where JiU appears to wear a princess dress (this one in pink) and Yoo-hyeon is wearing black, but JiU is still holding the sword at first. In that second scene, though, it is very likely that Yoo-hyeon picks up the fallen sword and stabs JiU in the back. One could superimpose the storyline from King's Raid unto this video: Yoo-hyeon might be possessed by some dark force (or good ol' greed) that compels her to murder her friends/sisters for the throne. There is a lot of speculation out there. The other music videos from this group, which are recommended below/above in other comments do follow a storyline, the 'Nightmare'-concept, and this could slot into that existing storyline as well, but it is obviously not needed to have a great, meaningful experience with this song and mv, and there are rarely clear plot points or 'correct' interpretations. Another song on this EP that is worth checking out on your own time, sans music video, is 'Silent Night', which does contain the line "a blade directed at someone eventually returns", and seems to describe further what is happening to one of the characters; it's also a great song. Dami (short red hair) just released a special clip on Dreamcatcher's official youtube channel, that might be worth checking out on your own, too; plus, the dance practice videos are always great. There is a performance version for this song as well (in costume).
Ah, they're actually renown for the laser cut precision in their choreography. You can see that in their dance practice videos, and live performances. As others have stated, this video was a collab w/ a game so it's more story themed, than placing emphasis on choreo. The choreo for their song Good Night is a particular favorite of mine.

I loved your reaction so much omg I always look for Dreamcatcher reactions from people who don't know anything about them, because no one ever expects the rock. Anyways this song is for a game actually (it's called King's Raid, that's also why the mini album is called Raid of Dream) that's why some parts sound a lot like a ballad since it's more of an OST and the story in the video is related to the game too (there's a video with an explanation for the music video if you're interested, it's by a channel called Bookish Theories I believe. There's a lot of cool symbolism in the video as well like.. blue roses can symbolize loyalty and trust and we see them being thrown away and burning in the second part of the music video and butterflies can symbolize the human soul and when Jiu - the blonde girl with a sword - is lying on the table in all white and it.... looks like she died there are burning butterflies appearing around her) Their other mvs often have a story as well so that's why it's also good to watch the music videos for their title tracks in the right order. So you should start with Chase Me (it's their debut), then "Good night" (continuation), then "Fly High" (it's a prequel to Chase Me) and then "You and I" which is said to end that particular storyline. After that there's "What" and "Piri" and you should also check out their Japanese release called "Breaking Out" (has an mv as well, but you might want to be careful if you want to publish a reaction to it since I read there are big issues with copyrights when it comes to Japanese music and all) You mentioned lack of dance in this mv, but it's because it's so story oriented. There's a dance video for this song and their choreographies tend to be really cool with a lot of formations and some parts related to the lyrics/the song so it's worth checking out as well!!! Welcome to the interesting world of Dreamcatcher! They have 7 members and debuted in 2017 (5 of the members were a different group MINX before). Dreamcatcher's concept is nightmare/horror and their music (at least title tracks) is rock/metal influenced. They eat CDs for breakfast and perform like there is no tomorrow. Piri is their comeback before this one, and it's personally my favorite from them.

Honestly you should watch all Dreamcatcher mvs; in the order they were released they are connected to each other (there’s a storyline order but is a bit different) and you should as well watch their dance practices and covers. They all are great dancer and singers. They have hard, fast and really synchronized choreographies. You might not get disappointed. They are really talented (but sadly underrated 😔 ). Oh yeah and as you might already know the rock-metal-pop and dark theme is their trademark sound and concept/image. Hope you could react to a lot more of them (if you guys want of course). Not trying to take away from Dreamcatcher cause they're AMAZING! But if you want to see kpop girls who play instruments, check out AOA at the beginning of their careers. They had a band unit called AOA Black but Koreans didn't like it very much, so they got rid of it and changed to a sexy concept.
