It's a sound hole cover, to prevent the feedback created by the sound hole. When playing live with an acoustic guitar, you will need to crank up the volume, and feedback can sometimes interfere with your playing.

They did a cover of Rainbow orig by South Border, a local Filipino group in the Philippines, I think popular in the 90’s. This song is old. You’d hear many Filipinos like to revive old songs. They did really well with this song. No one was singing over anyone. Feel good song all around, I feel they had taken it to the next level👏🏼

Lemme help you out with pronouncing his last name: Say "Sing" as you would in English, then say "ilinan" (eeleenan). That sets you up for the "ng" sound in his name. Next, try "Pang" (with the same "ng" sound as in "Sing"), then say "ilinan". Put them all together and hopefully next time you've got it. :)
