From the moment I heard this, I was so impressed. Great song, stunning vocals, loving the lyrics, honestly close to perfect for me. Styling and staging aren't amazing, but both can be tweaked to make it really effective. This will do very well, I hope. PLEASE let this do well Europe!

Her control has been impeccable in every performance (save for her winners performance when her joy and emotions made her squeal instead of sing a few times, but we can definitely forgive that!) The song was NOT chosen by a jury. A jury, being the back-up system for the selection of the top four, selected the final four, which were really the four songs that were most likely to win it. The final voting was done by the public, as it should be. The new voting system is there to prevent people from skewing the vote by voting practically an unlimited number of times, and each person now has to be registered at NRK.no, and is limited to three votes each. It is a more fair system overall. What might have overloaded the system, however, was the silly and pointless thing of allowing people to react with hearts and other emoticons during the performance. Completely needless. In the end, the best song with the best chances of doing the best in Eurovision won it, and anyone complaining about that should move to Belarus or somewhere else where the result often is just overruled by the country's leader.

So the thing with Melodi Gran Prix is that during the 1st round the online thing to votes crashed and jury choose 4 finalists but after that was only online vote and she won by the public and not the jury. Quite hard to explain ! But btw rlly nice video I love this song !

To me it's the best song so far (followed by Italy and Belgium) for several reasons. Structure of the Song, Build-up of the Song, Melody and Lyrics. Lines like "What do want me to do..." can even be understood by those, who don't speak english very well. Together with the music, everyone will get, what the song is all about. It is a relieve, that Norway doesn't even try to pretend the song has a (hidden) deeper meaning or socially critical message. Ulrikke's voice and voice control are amazing. I've been following the ESC for 50 years now. For the last 15 years I've never been wrong with my predictions of who is gonna win. Right now it is too early to make such an prediction for 2020, but this song definitely is Top 10 material. I do agree, that they have to overthink the dress. It is nice, but a little bit too conventional. Ulrikke looks a bit like a teacher at a prom. I don't think this song needs dancers. Just like Duncan Laurence or Salvador Sobral the focus should be on Ulrikke. Maybe more string players on the stage, because strings are an important part of the song. Norway delivers "the whole package" and fully fulfils the "unwritten and special ESC-rules for success"

Just for some context, there was supposed to be a super final consisting of 4 songs, which was supposed to be chosen by the public. However, the online vote crashed and the 4 were chosen by a 30 person jury. It was then narrowed down to just 2, Ulrikke being one of them. (I believe it was the public that ended up choosing the final 2). In the gold duel, she won by 5,678 votes, also chosen solely by the public) She was the favourite to win, so her victory isn't being thrown any shade (P.s. she wore a black dress during her semi final performance as she was pre-qualified). ❤❤NO❤❤

It's 'I don't want to do this no more, if I'm the only one here on the dancefloor' Which is a much better, more sophisticated, poetic, and non plagiary use of the word dancefloor because it speaks metaphorically of the relationship.

On the voting: It's not the ultimate winner that was Jury chosen. It was the superfinalists that were picked by the jury because the voting got overhelmed. Tbe voring was back up for the ultimate winner, however. It was a 2-way race and the winner was EXCLUSIVELY based on voters. Those pushing the narrative otherwise are being misled or uninformed or are part of this semi fan war mad that MGP dominated the airwaves this year and kinda overshadowed Melfest. Controversy aside I may have preferer One Last Time and Wild, but this is still a great song, and my favorite direct qualifier of MGP. I love this entry from Norway.

Now this is a SUCCESSFUL attempt at repeating Arcade. All of those other losers that keep trying to copy Duncan's vibe this year... I'm not so hot for Norway because it's following the last year's winner, but I respect everything. So much so, that she can go all the way to the Top 10 if she wants to, I don't care hahaha =D This is that classic, touching ballad done right. P.S. Those epic backing vocals during the chorus singing "Oooooh" can stay on the recorded track, right? Cause 5 people singing it live might be a little weaker, I don't want it to suffer from that like the UK last year. =(

Great vocal, expensive production. But nothing new or fresh abou this song. Remind me a lot "Undo" + "Never Give Up on You". I mean... This has been done before. A lot.

I don't like it, but I can understand, why other people like it. The song isn't flat, has ups and downs, great voice. I don't like it, because, for example, when Duncan was singing, you could feel his soul in every second of the song. Here I am not feeling anything from her and it's hard to watch into her some unnatural mimics. The lyrics is not cheesy,but pretty lame. It's too much words like "I", "do" , "you" . I think they could write a better lyrics to this song. The staging also pretty lame- golden shay and fireworks, ugh.. We have a lot of time until may,we don't have a lot of song of the contest yet, but I think with the time, this song only will go down in the people top lists. P.S. For me, Samanta Tina has the best female vocals so far. :)

The only thing i disagree with is that she’s the best vocalist. Although she might have the best vocal control, it doesn’t carry the same amount of emotion as Italy does. Also her voice is so young, making her not the best vocalist in the field. You got to give that title to Italy ngl. I like the song though, but indeed not groundbreaking.

Vocals are great but song is so boring and disjointed. Better vocalists already this year are Montaigne and Arilena, even Samanta Tīna (although her presence is more aggressive in her song). More engaging acts are still out there and there are 30+ still to be revealed... this is equal with France, Lithuania and Italy for me right now
