@@AdamYJ she writes original songs every now and then as well. pretty sure she did one for a league of legends trailer and an ending song for the second tokyo ghoul season.
She did a cover of Clattanoia, the Overlord opening with Jonathan Young, probably the only one I have ever disliked, because it would have worked much better with Jonathan as the main singer.
This is alot of fun. I hope Peter does a vol. 2, there's are so many more that he could do. And one just for closing songs would also be great. The day before yesterday I discovered a band that is really different in an amazing way. Wagakki plays traditional Japanese Metal, "Homura" is a good one to start with. They're similar to Babymetal and Band Maid, but at the same time very different. The band members perform in cosplay. You might also like Malukah, she does covers of video game songs.
A really incredible cover of the Pokemon theme song is done by Chris Villain. He's not as big as Peter Hollens but he's a really good singer and the amount of effort that was put into the video is incredible. It's so much fun! Also, he had Jason Paige, the original singer of the theme song, featured in his cover?! How cool is that?!
If you haven’t seen Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, you NEED to! It’s a masterpiece of an anime! FMA 2003 is good too, but I personally think Brotherhood is better.
@@icyhot619 while Fullmetal Alchemist (FMA) and Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood (FMA:B) have a identic beginning FMA came out as the Manga was published and outran the relise- so FMA has its own Story and has nothing to do with the original Manga. FMA:B came out a few years after the end of the Manga- and follows the story of it. And to be honest- FMA:B has (for me) a better Storyline, Animation and so on. I would say watch FMA:B and then FMA at least that's how I watched it since the Story, artstyle and even characters are different!
its like, everyone knows the pokemon theme song, even if they have never seen it. it shaped a generation. but also no tv show will ever have a better intro than animes will.
If you are interested in anime song covers there is of course Caleb Hales, I think you already know him but, there is also 33erock and Pellek. Both awesome musicians. 33erock doesn't sing (as far as I know) but does amazing metal versions of songs that are really good. Pellek does covers of...pretty much everything. He even did a French version of 'Jacks Lament' from The Nightmare Before Christmas.
You should watch Fullmetal Alchemist...like imitately. Go do it rn (The song is from Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood, but you should watch both. Its so incredible)
As much as I want to see your reaction to Alex Boye's cover of 'Believer', I have to be honest and point out that Home Free just did 'When A Man Loves a Woman'....I can't expect you to put that off.
I agree, I'm old enough that I remember when most of North America thought the sum total of Anime was Sailor Moon, Dragonball, Gundam Wing, and Evangelion. (and Evangelion was the weird cousin people didn't talk much about lol)
You are 100% in the right saying Naruto's endings are better than it's openings. They're better than most Anime theme songs in general, "Wind" the ending from like the very first season is still my #2 favorite anime song of all time (just behind Just Communication from Gundam Wing).
Oh one other thing...I don't know if I would recommend Full Metal Alchamist to you. Don't get me wrong it. is. _awesome._ but its dark. It has a happy ending (eventually) but it goes down several paths that would have you in tears. You might be able to do it since you like horror but...its a different _kind_ of dark from horror. More the sad and righteous anger causing kind of dark. OH, and on your Naruto closing songs are better than opening ones.... Bluebird comes time mind, I think I might agree with you.
