#reactionvideo Imagine is a very recognizable song by John Lennon. I do not believe we could find too many who have not heard at least the hook from this song let alone it in its entirety. Geoff has done great justice to the song and has added his own touch. What an amazing rendition of this song. Be sure to give Geoff the love on his channel. (link is right below)

Just stunning and a message as pertinent today as it was a half century ago.

TBH - I think this is more pertinent today. People are too self-absorbed and refuse to be kind to others. It is a frightening trend. I hope through music we can turn back this negative thought process.

Geoff is very special and always brings new emotion to any song he covers. He sometimes adds some words and music when he feels the original is too repeititve, but this one needed nothing added, just a new take on it, giving it a slightly different feel, but just as full of feeling. Thank you for your sympathetic reaction to it.

Geoff said that unlike most of his covers, no one had requested this, but it was what he wanted to do. It is gorgeous. Speaking of cinematography, Lennon's video was all white, walls, curtains, clothing, furniture, and piano. Geoff paid homage to the video as well as to the song, but also made it his own. He had the piano, chair, his clothing, and that gorgeous ceiling.

Geoff really hit me in the heart with this one. Excluding any & all "Queen" songs, this was my mom's favorite song and after Freddie Mercury, Geoff was her favorite artist. I basically sobbed my way through the Patreon premiere wishing so much my mom was still around to hear this. As you say, Geoff somehow manages to bring so much emotion to every song & when it's already an emotional song for you - bam! I've listened so many times since that premiere and each time I find myself remembering a different memory of my mom. As for that beautiful house, Geoff & Kathy were able to rent it to do the video and the piano is a shell that they also rented and put Geoff's own keyboard in it. The Patron's listed at the end of the video are only the top few tiers so Geoff has even more than you see there. Those whose names he reads are the top tier and the last name he read, Dorothy Bruun, was a long time Patron who passed away a few weeks ago. Her daughter & I believe granddaughter as well are also Patrons. It was so sweet of Geoff to add that dedication and the fact that he is that type of lovely person is yet another reason why I chose to support him. Loved your reaction to this and thank you for not rating it! 😊

During the premier of Big Iron, I think, her daughter mentioned in the chat that Mom was in the hospital. I didn't realize until he was reading the list that Mom had died. You're right, he is just a lovely, sweet man.

As I have lost my dad three years ago, I can relate with the loss. I hope the memories that continue to come to your remembrance are good ones. I completely get there being songs, that have the key to opening up one's emotions. There are some songs out there that I still have difficulty making it through without my eyes sweating.

You are the first reactor I've seen that even noticed the tempo change. He does add some wonderful chord changes - sprinkled throughout.

Thank you for the kind words. I think I caught it due to the fact I listen for sound sake vs. lyrics. His ability to use cords in the way he does is legendary.
